For now in the stress testing branch it seems Venom can be very hit and miss, Sometimes it will not spawn hallucinations and sometimes it will, Sometimes they just randomly despawn and they also caused a crash issue with the server. But that's part of testing, Everything is subject to change and i'm sure they will improve all of this before it's in your hands (Hopefully before the holidays!!) I'm very curious to see what you'd change about Dilo venom, For me the hallucinations managing to bite you should cause some kind of panic effect or even intensify the fog briefly to signify an "overwhelming" type of sense with the affected dinosaur and offer a real draw back to just ignoring them besides just a little damage

to spawn hallucinations the target needs to be on stage 3 venom, it will be purple when you sniff, also it cannot stack in packs. so only one person in a pack (usually the first to fully envenomate it) will be the one to spawn hallucinations

@@Zeno56657 I dunno, back in legacy it didn't help that only the Dillo could really see well at night (to my knowledge), which prompted the more popular servers to bypass night completely. Considering how the more popular dinos, like Apexes, will likely not have good Night Vision to help balance them out a bit I suspect nights will once again be commonly bypassed.

Ant, if something isn't on your diet, its organs still give nutrients. So if you killed a stego as a dilo you could get the best diet possible from just the organs. That's why the dilos were hunting that baby stego.
For some information a player can only hallucinate on final stage *(when showing purple) each laugh is a hallucination dilo double ganger. Dilo is also not a pack hunter and its venom works different than troodon. If another group member gets full venom stages I the hallucination only work for them and your laughs won't do anything.

I will never not believe that the isle needs to set a cap on the population of each species so that, for example you can not spawn in as a Rex if there are already 5 in existence regardless of their age, BUT if you nest, the hatchlings can exceed the species population limit, so maybe there could be 10 individuals with at least half being from nesting. That would force more player interaction, add a serious value to nesting, spread the players across more species, and act as a balancing agent for the stronger vs weaker species. Of course the total server population cap would then be noticeably lower then the total population of all species combined, so as players die and new players can fill other species and nest, the ratio of the species population presence would be ever shifting as always, just with a consistently diverse range of species.
The isle has been kinda pathetic recently being that they have promised many dinos and yet we are left waiting. Im about tired of waiting for something that has been promised and has been said to be "coming soon". When? GTA 6 will be out before we get another dino in The sile.

3-weeks later and I played this game for the first time, I also experienced 20-minutes of pure nothing, and died from no food. The patch time on these problems must be real bad, frustrating.
@squidapple9662 the thing is that this isn't a bug. It's the way ai spawns depend on the player count in the area but it's horribly implemented and the entire community has been in uproar for months. Unfortunately, the devs just ✨️don't care✨️

My biggest issue with Gateway rn is the food and the performance issues. ( Stam seems to be a bit better in the videos you show unless you cut out the like every 2-3 minutes you need to sit lol ) Ive been starving at least 2 every 4 times I spawn and ive had hella lag at some point, even without a full server. Hope they fix these issues soon as I would love to play herrera and dilo but its just, aaaaaaa. Also they removed the health thing and it makes me sad and annoyed in a way, not everyone constantly checked their health, even when fighting, so why remove it for all players if its just going to cause more and more confusion and more lag due to people dying because they didnt know what health they were on (The screens are sometimes unreliable, I usually would use the health icon to tell myself if its safe to leave my hiding spot or not)
about the lags and ping, i recommend playing on servers that are from your area or continent. In my situation that would be EU servers that only ave 30-40 ping and american servers that have 100-200 ping.
@Kio_vidz I normally play servers close to me. But even then, sometimes I have better ping on those that aren't near me than those who are (I'm NA, but sometimes it works better on EU)
This looks sooo fun, the dilo is my favorite dino! but i am a bit intimidated by the numerous issues with the game atm. My audio keeps stuttering loudly and the AI is so hard to find
The stress test was updated just now, and in this update they added a lot of AI across the map, I was watching a guy play and he's pretty calm about finding food now
The audio problem most likely has something to do with your audio drive. See if there’s an update for it or upgrade your audio drive to fix that issue 👍
There's a chance that tenonto was actually AI. The AI tenontos will fight back against predators in the stress test(or so I've heard, I don't have access to the test).
I mean, I don’t love that this Dilo is small and venomous. Actual dilophosaurus were medium sized scavengers. Their jaws were too weak to hunt as effectively as full on predators. The venom stereotype comes from the Jurassic park novels and a speculative biology where they basically said (we thought they were scavengers, but it turns out what we didn’t know was that they have a very powerful ability to spit venom, which made up for their weak jaws” It’s also implied that the dilo that killed Nedry was an infant, or juvenile. Because the adults were like 8 feet tall.

Hey friend, Stress testing is a private branch people apply for when they open recruitment for it, It's basically just some of the biggest fans of TI who are willing to spend time helping the developers and QA find bugs in new builds, As a reward they remove embargo's and let people show other people a little early as a preview

For the venom you have to wait until the prey glows purple then you use your decoys.
Edit: sniff to see if they glow purple.

When i tested this both dilo's were causing me to see visions, I was getting double the normal hallucinations

I hope this update helps with the performance just like 6.5 did. I have not been able to play because of this reason.

In the fossil record, Dilophosaurus stood at 6 feet tall and 250-300 pounds. They were by no means small

Yeah the 2-1 diet is the best for growing, never go for 1-1-1. It's a little known secret, and easier to get than all three.

There isn't hardly enough AI for a 100 player server. It's abysmal finding AI diet for dinosaurs like the Carno, or sometimes just in general.
