I assume these buses might return to active service by December 3, 2024. Same goes for the 1998-2002 New Flyer D40LF's #4046-4159, 4161-4176, 4178-4258, 4261-63, 4266, 4268, 4270, 4271, 4273-90, 4292-4306, 4309, 4310, 4312, 4315, 4330, and 4332 as a replacement for the 2005-06 New Flyer D40LF's #4478-4522 by the time they retire in 2029, and 2007-2012 New Flyer D40LFR's #4523-4879 by the time they retire in 2034.
my goodness, i predicted this 7 years ago & it being 2023, a lot of the 4200 and 4300 series are being pulled from service due to their life span having to be due. it’s gonna be 2030 in JUST 7 years & maybe less than 1 quart of the remaining to this day iconic D40LF(R)’s will be in service for the next 4-5 years of the 2030’s. after that while, the only remaining bit of diesel buses left in the edmonton transit service will be the XD40’s and the XD60’s.
I.oved that bus so much I would always waiting for it to come 😀

I'm assuming 1998 D40LFs will retire in 2019-20 and to 2005 all will be retired in 2029-2034 (Years) same as D40LFR's

I miss those buses so much go Detroit
But the Fleet Numbers of 200 series will be used in the future. For Newer buses or No?
They are still using them as emergency ones like if a bus breaks done they will send or use that one. And they use them for charter buses.
+TheMaul3r_Real Cool...I already new that.
What about the 1994 D40LF's? (Not 1993)
Are these having a 2nd life or going straight to scrapper?
Probably idk because it says on a website that these models are retired as if not going back it service so maybe.
:(
There is a few for historic purposes. 200 series numbers will not be reused.
These buses are officially retired and will not be going back into service
Will one of them become a historic vehicle and the rest will be scrapped?
