I like MAUI, BUT why is Microsoft NOT using MAUI in their own major projects, such as their own flagship applications? Only when Microsoft creates their flagship products using MAUI, the community will feel confident on this product. As that will prove that Microsoft will have to make MAUI successful for making their flagship products successful.
@@JamesMontemagno couldn't agree more. Working out what keys are for what is a nightmare. But once deployed, updates are pretty smooth. I've built a blockchain app and doing updates for both is super cool.
@@JamesMontemagno i know you have touch this a bit in a previous video and maybe Avalonia is kinda your competitors but for myself atleast avalonia just works. Maui is so complicated to get running even for smaller projects.
One that prevents MAUI adoption is the WASM support. ".Net loves WASM!" recent propagandaa but it's not true for MAUI. Is MAUI not part of .NET family?
Sir Montemagno. Thanks for the years of contributions from X to M
You are welcome :)

The list of companies "using" MAUI is hilarious. I would bet almost 100% of the apps made by these companies are just internal crap intranet apps.
Love the Maui Blazor Hybrid approach
When there's a visual designer for MAUI I will be much more interested. Right now, not so much.
@@MyChannelAT I certainly am starting to feel and think this is true. UWP and WinUI are failures in my mind. Very disappointed.
Thanks for the video, one question, what about Push Notification in Maui, that we can use now to solve this need, especially with IOs.
"I am a PM of the people!" Love it :)
Deploying a MAUI app into the Apple Store is a pain in the butt 😂
Spoiler alert... that is every iOS app :)

Is it possible to point the hybrid view to a remote url so it isn’t html/css that is packaged with the app but could be updated on the server?

Wait are Project Managers in software tech really this technically good?
They’re program managers, not project managers.
@@benshapiro6358 Ahh, I see, thanks
Jesus-James before the haircut 😅
600%... if it had one and now it is 7 it would be the same "growth" ^^ we need numbers =P
Bring me code push!!!

If you can't, just drop MAUI and bring Avalonia into the family. They've been doing that for years!
but avalonia doesn't compete with maui. Avalonia its focus on desktop apps and MAUI its mainly focused on mobile apps@@chriskim9370

Awesome.
Tutorials from this guy also has too much meaningless talk. Just go ahead and teach like normal tutorials or lectures.
They are obfuscating. Maui just doesn't work as they say it does
