Thesis based = 100% theoretical for research purpose PhD
Course based CSC:
Master of Applied Computer Science = Practical based (job oriented) course + theory
Master of Computer Science = no practical + theory

Before recommending you any course I should know what is your motive to come to canada. If you wanna come here and simply get PR or you wanna come here to earn and make a professional career. It all depends upon your interest and your goal. For example, you could do MBA. Or you could do M.Ed. and teach computer science at secondary schools. So basically it depends upon your interest. And yeah I could surely help you with that.

Dont show that you have done your phd. Instead show that you have done Bachelors. And the gap years you can show "smartly" your work experience and by attaching offer letters, pay slips, experience letters and then apply for masters.

Well, in my opinion for a teaching profession, one should always do some kind of research work in their master's program for a prospective job. Also you need to do B.Ed after your MSc(thesis-based) in chemistry, if you wanna teach chemistry at school level.

Well you could do Phd in physics or M.Ed. Canada grants student permit to those students who have applied for a degree/course at a higher level than the previous degree. In your case you have done MSc in physics so you can apply for Phd in physics. Or you can also apply for a M.Ed (in my opinion) since you have done B.Ed already. Other than these two degrees you can get admission in any course but your chances for a study permit visa are very less.

Well there are no specific scholarships for applied course based program in canada. You only get stipends (assistantship) if you enroll yourself in a thesis based program. However, you can apply for general university scholarships. But keep in mind that these scholarships won't cover up your tuition fees or other living expenses. It is only assistantships that cover all your tuition and living expenses but those are available only in a thesis based program. Overall, applied course based programs are expensive but they are highly worth if you are looking to work in a field job.

Firstly, with BCA degree you cannot take admission in masters program because BCA is a 3 year degree. For masters, you need 4 years bachelor,s degree. So in your case the best possible option you can opt is to take admission in any 2 year Post Graduate certificate/diploma program of web development/software development/ any IT related program of your interest. After that, you could either choose to do masters/ job.

For course based there are no major scholarships available. However, she could get small bursaries like 1000, 2000, 3000 dollars. But these are not significant amounts. Only in thesis based masters, one gets complete tuition fee waiver through assistantship by means of stipends. I hope this answers your question

I’m planning to do a Masters degree from Northeastern University in ‘Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs for Drugs, Biologics, and Medical Devices’, which is showing as 12-18 months course and also written as it can also be completed in as few as 15 months.
I wanted to ask you couple of questions:
1. Is it a course based or thesis based ?
2. What will be the duration for my PGWP ?
Could u please check this and let me know. It would be really great and helpful.
1) Well, first of all Northeastern is a private university. And I don't recommend anyone to come to canada and study in a private institution because you might have problems during your PR processing.
2) This course is clearly an online course. So there is no guarantee that your PGWP would be approved. Since it is an american university. On the website it is clearly mentioned that if you apply to this program in their american branch then you will get 36 months OPT (optional practical training - work permit) but for canada this is not mentioned clearly.
3) This course is an applied master's course (practical) and it is good.
Overall, I won't recommend it because of points (1) and (2).
Also this course has a length of 12 months if you study full time. So you will get only 12 months work permit. At the maximum 15 months.
So again I don't recommend.

On 1 year work permit you cannot get PR. Either choose a 16 month master program. Or plan to do TWO masters from canada of 1 year each. Then you will get 3 year work permit and then you can get PR

at least 2 year bcoz after that u have 3 year work experience. which is enough time for you to get your pr . if u r choosing 1 year masters and u get only year work permit which may put u in trouble bcoz its not easy to get work in same field right aways after completing master. either you have to enroll again in one year course for extension of your visa ... best is to choose atleast 2 year program which is cheaper than paying again for one year course
