It's lovely! Sadly it went a bit antiseptic on my skin (which has happened with a quite a few vanilla perfumes now!), but I gave it to my colleague who has been looking for an affordable Vanilla, so I'm happy to make someone else happy! I actually started to get a bit of a marzipan scent from Vanilla touch and I really liked that element so I'm sad it didn't smell good on me!
Ahhh great vid! I shall have a look into some of these, as I am missing a nice vanilla dominant frag from my collection. Actually that a lie, I do have a really nice body spray from So…? (‘Vanilla’ smells just like sticking you nose in a bag of Mini Eggs! Would love this in a edp). You mentioned apple smelling like candles a little bit, which got me thinking that a video on your fave scented candles would be ace! 🕯️
Thank you so much for this video! I love your recommendations, especially cheaper alternatives to expensive scents. My absolute favourite at the moment is Orchidée Vanille, so I will DEFINITELY test the Monotheme one!!! Orchidée Vanille gives me a feeling that only one other perfume has ever given me, and that one was L by Lolita Lempicka. I'm not saying they are very similar, but they are both SO special to me. For cheap vanilla perfumes, I love Les Senteurs Gourmandes Vanille de la Réunion, Berdoues Vanille Safran or the new Yves Rocher Vanille d'Orchidee. Some vanilla scents make me sick or nauseous (Bare Vanilla for instance). By the way, I bought Boum Green Tea Cherry Blossom and it's SO pretty, but it makes me feel nauseous unfortunately, so sad!!! I get the same from Still by Jennifer Lopez. Such a beautiful scent, but apparently sometimes I have problems with tea notes. I love Idole Eau de Toilette and Arden White Tea though. Much love from Germany! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm so glad you like my videos! A shame about tea making you nauseous - I get that with some notes but thankfully not tea. I've never had a chance to smell the Les Senteurs Gourmandes because the price is really marked up if I want to get them shipped to the UK, but it looks like there's lots of good scents in that range. I hope you like the Monotheme Vanilla if you get to try it!
@skinscentsforfusspots The Monotheme arrived today, I blind bought it as it was only around 17€ and it's so pretty! To my nose, it's a very dry, powdery, fluffy, floral kind of vanilla, somehow "cool". I totally get why people compare this to Orchidée Vanille. The openings are very different, but they're the same kind of vanilla in the drydown, BUT Orchidée Vanille has this warmth and depth that makes it so special to me. The Monotheme was a great recommendation as I don't like too sweet vanillas, so thank you 🙃😍! By the way, my husband said it reminds him of some nice Dove bodylotion, he liked it. I also blind bought Maison Alhambra Athena which is a beautiful lavender vanilla and in a similar range as Burberry Goddess. I quite like it although I'm not a fan of lavender in perfumes. It's definitely very similar to Burberry Goddess but the latter is sweeter.
Thanks for the reviews! Not the biggest vanilla fan but I do have some nice vanilla cheapies like Vanille Bourbon from Adopt and Vanille from Solinotes. (Not sure they are available in the UK though)
I wanted to try Solinotes but the prices are hiked up anywhere than ship to the UK so I've never ordered anything from that range. I've never even heard of Adopt!
@@skinscentsforfusspots I tried the Solinotes one a while ago and it was way too sweet for my taste. It's a lot sweeter than Vanilla 28 for example. The Solinotes one smells like artificial vanilla sugar. I know that many people love exactly that kind of vanilla, but it's too sweet for me. It's not like a vanilla bean but more like vanilla sugar coating on a cake or something. If you love that kind of vanilla, you might like the Solinotes one. Alyssa Ashley Vanilla was quite similar to my nose, so if that's available in the UK, this could be a great alternative. ❤️❤️❤️
@@skinscentsforfusspots They're just affordable fun sents with a lot to choose from (specially Adopt), nothing groundbreaking but the concept is nice. They sell them in store here in Belgium and in France.
Nice reviews, as always. :)
You are SO good at comparing perfumes and describing those comparisons. I think that really sets your channel apart. I love watching your videos! ❤
Oh thank you so much! What a lovely comment!
I love La Rive Vanilla Touch. It needs some time to macerate and gets even better😉

@skinscentsforfusspots I love your descriptions. They are really helpful in finding gems😉

D'you know what?! I don't really burn candles as a rule - they make me cough! I'm more likely to spray stuff around my house than burn candles :)
