I was going to listen to this as i slept but, the ads were literally right in the middle of speech. If you could change when the ads open, that would be amazing. Or remove them all together. You didn't need ads well you sleep.
14 years of tortuous classes of Irish teachers, so called, trying to teach Irish using peig, 17th century poetry, and Martin o direain etc etc . Plus the beautiful bonus of 1970s teachers being allowed by the department of education, the state, to physically assault kids because they couldn't grasp the fn grammar. Seriously. When will the state do a cost benefit analysis of the utter waste of money in the teaching of Irish. After 102 years of an independent Irish education system only 80,000 people use it as a first language every day. 39% "claim" to have a cupla focal. An abject failure. The state sanctioned violence used by teachers was a disgrace. SO NO I DONT WANT THAT IN MY HEAD WHILE I SLEEP. I HAD ENOUGH NIGHTMARES BECAUSE OF IT AS A KID.

Irish better to start learn Russian as it going to be more practical for living in Ireland. Irish language is dead language and will be replaced by language of immigrants.
Nice video. Would be nice to see one where there’s a phonetic breakdown below the Irish as well.
Way better than the last time someone tried to teach me Irish…… the told me to say the words well, oil, beef and hooked really fast.

Hey! Yo también hablo español y amo el irlandés :)
When you have an Irish exam tomorrow morning.
How did it go?
Literally hahaha
Yup
Do you have another video with Irish phonetics? It would be very helpful. Thanks!
Good luck to anyone doing the leaving cert🍀
Good job, thanks
Great👏😊
Go raibh maith agat as seo.
hehe :D
Is this Ulster, Munster or Connacht?
Definitely not Ulster pronunciations. My guess is Munster but could be Connacht as well.
Nice cool
September appears misspelled: Fomahair = Fómhair
What is that script on the bottom?
The international phonetic pronounciation.
Can be quite helpful and handy :)
ps: But it’s strange because it does the English and not the Irish.
🤷🏻

Phonetic transcription is necessary for IRISH not for English, because Irish is the target of the video

Isn't Dia pronounced 'gee-uh' not 'dee-uh'?
I’m guessing it depends on the dialect.
roughly jee-uh in Donegal, dee-uh in Munster.
Where I'm from in Ireland, Cork, We say it like dia. In the North they say Jee-uh

It's irish, but some of these aren't pronounces correctly at least dia duit isn't. It's pronounced dee-ah-ditch

Too many ads for sleeping to.
Very irritating
didnt even say hello properly. stopped watching video.
There's like 30 ways to say dia duit
There are 3 dialects of irish, all are equally correct. The way that he said "Dia Dhuit" is Munster pronounciation

If it's dead I'm a zombie...
Or you could keep it alive and be the change
