Tori is the finest of wines.... she's become even more incredible, more perfect with age. She's not for everyone, perhaps- but for those who know, she's a rare gem and an amazing soul.
I honestly can’t name an artist who understands - and can articulate - the human condition as well as Tori does. I haven’t followed her music in years, but I really admire what she’s saying here, particularly in regard to women allowing themselves to change their minds.
+TayInTheWay If you had stopped following her before "Night of Hunters" came out, give it a listen. It was largely overlooked because it was seen as an exercise/pastiche of classical music, but it's thoroughly Tori Amos, and for me, it stands beside Boys for Pele and Scarlet's Walk as an artistic masterpiece--as you say, by articulating the human condition...and throughout time and physical and spiritual evolution, no less. She's an artist, and I think that's why she's such an odd fit for the music industry, which is (I mean this objectively, not as a judgment) more about creating products for mass consumption than putting artistic expression into the world as she does.
She never failed to amaze me. So wise and talented and, for lack of a better word, original. No matter how mundane or rude the questions, this artist always manages to steer the conversation back to what matters. Everyone needs to recognize Tori Amos for the genius that she is.
I could listen to her talk for hours. It's like a spiritual session or going to church when she speaks. I love when she said, "You don't have to apologize for growing and learning, and changing your mind." She's amazing. Thanks for posting.
Awesome interview. Just started listening to Tori over the past week for the first time in a while, including her older and newer songs. She's one of the very few musical artists that have NOT sold their souls for money. Wish some of the other musical artists could say the same thing.
Its so moving to see how caring she is towards fans,it is almost like her ministry.I wish more musicians could be as humble and loving as her.She has so much talent, she is everything an true artist should be imho.
Thank you for uploading all these, you have really helped satisfy my craving for listening to anything this wonderful woman has to say.I love her so much.I just wish I had turned onto her a lot earlier.I once dismissed her as a Kate Bush impersonator when I first heard back in the day but what did I know??!!! I am just discovering all her music now and it is a sheer delight. Thanks to you tube.
When Tori is interviewed by an intelligent person we always have a great conversation. Because the woman is the most amazing talker! All that it takes a nice person to talk to.
I have been a fan for I guess 20 years now....seen her live twice. Love the work she did to help other victims through RAINN. I was a victim as a child. Thank you Tori for sharing your incredible gift and beauty with the world and for inspiring me as a young woman to live my destiny.
I love this. such a passionate, creative, artist! and she's not crazy. so the idea to be an original outspoken artist has to be crazy to reach such brilliant limits is a untrue. wow what an example! She seems so kind, honest and true. what she sings is the truth on so many levels!
+lynn Flynn If you've seen videos of her early in her solo career, she sometimes presented as (arguably) "crazy," or at least zany (see the Boys for Pele EPK)--and I say that with love--but she's completely down to earth today. I interviewed her back in 2008 and actually had to listen back to the recording and look up a lot of information in order to even understand many of her esoteric references. I interviewed her again recently, and her spirit is exactly the same, but she now always presents herself in a thoughtful, deliberate, sage sort of way. She reminds me of Maya Angelou in a lot of ways: when she speaks, people either tend not to have the patience to listen, or they hang on every word Tori says because they're all carefully chosen and actually important and worth hearing. People have so many notions about who Tori Amos is. Having watched countless interviews and having had the opportunity to interview her twice myself, she is such a rare creature in that, unlike so many other artists or public figures, her brilliant creative works are actually matched by her gorgeous generosity of spirit and unique ability to articulate what's important.
good on tori for doing 'meet & greet' all these years!!! so many artists never, ever do that or even consider requests, esp. on the day. i can't believe what she says about it in this interview, wow. that is so cool, tori- i adore you :)))
Lovely interview. Thank you for posting this. I feel that Tori is particularly relaxed here and it is very enjoyable to watch . Wonderful and big thanks !
Why does the interviewer try to draw a comparison between Tori Amos today and young kids in modern pop culture. Its ridiculous. Even at their age she was never part of that, always edgy and doing her own thing. Amos has always elevated above mainstream.
I saw it in Ft. Lauderdale. 1st show of the tour. My most vivid memory was when Tori came out, lifted her leg and literally started humping the piano. Audience went nuts Lol. That show was insane. Loved it. I was 16.
Tori has always been a very eloquent speaker. I wish she was paired with an interviewer on a similar level. I feel like she is being interviewed by an 8th grader. "As a Mom..", "As a fifty year old..", I mean, wtf??
I have two thoughts from this video. 1) Normal people, regardless of gender, don't wake up in the morning with the intention of being wrong. Maturity is changing what you are doing should you realize it is wrong. Pettiness is forcing someone to apologize for who they used to be, again - regardless of gender. Those with criminal intent are of course another matter. 2) I hear the complaint about how society places too much pressure on women keeping themselves "beautiful" which lends to them eating right, drinking right, exercising right, etc. However, men are found attractive based on their self-destruction - hence their graying, wrinkled, pot-bellied selves are merely extensions of that wear and tear from pushing beyond their limits to prove they are worth keeping and using. I love Tori Amos, she expresses a wonderful perspective in a most artistic way.
She was so naturally gorgeous. The look on those 2003-05 tours was incredible. Of all people it’s shocking that she abandoned her natural beauty. Plastic surgery almost always makes people look worse off.
Tori is amazing. But the really bothers me. She mentioned within 3 minutes many times about Tori being 50 years old. 50 is not old. Tori is so beautiful!!!! And her music is superb
Tori Amos is such an amazing artist! She is a sonic genius and always amazes me with her ability to transform philosophy and magic into the realms of music, emotion and art. Tori Amos shall live forever! #TheGoddess #GodsofFacebook
This was a great interview, I think Caitlyn was asking the right questions. Some interviews are hard to watch/listen to because people ask the most inane questions. One of my favorite parts of this was Avery and his question.
yes tori has been my crush when I was 17 I fell deeply in love with tori i,m 42 now only more in love and yours could make magic music together to bring these mother earth goddesses they won,t just blow t ypor mind these two artists together won,t just make music they blow yr mind,
*DO IT!* Do the Non Bad Word Pre Dinner Tour! Come to Cutler Ridge! Omigosh (_dies_) I'd love to take my five kinderlings to see Tori Amos! Especially if there's a lot of _Midwinter Graces_ songs. Oh, dear. You *must*! (Fan since '92)
I wish they had listed the credits, this interviewer is pretty great and I would love to see more interviews with other artists. Anyone know the interviewer's name?
I enjoyed the dialog. No judgements here. Bravo, I missed her artistry. However the girl interviewing her kept mentioning her age! Why? She is timeless! We are to hung up on age relevance! You can be relevant at 15 or 115 look at grandma Moses, Julia Child Tina Turner these timeless women got their start later in life or restart for Tina. You go Tori do your thang! !
Tori's always interesting and fun to listen to, but I still can't get over plastic surgery and botox overdose. She always had a somewhat unique face, with strong features that would have aged well. Then - Marshmallow Woman. :(
***** The puffy face has to do with fillers. I don't think it's right to judge somebody for how they are coping with aging. I feel like the only reason she is judged for her cosmetic procedures is because it does look somewhat off. If she looked like Christie Brinkley nobody would bat an eye and everyone would be saying how great she looks. So ironically, the one's judging her are the vain ones.
Scorpion1957 Tori is a Women, who found fame in Prime, with that comes all the trappings, Make up, Photoshoots and media glare. So much attention and Praise. The Vanity factor because of that would be alot greater than the average Woman. And plus the pressures of looking good for the masses.
he knew that. you can glaze. Grey eyes after the mode of Lonergan? It was Angeliki, right? i was down i guess my dear. How hard won your confidence inside of what worthy machinations at what rate of disposal? Not so fast princess.

My God, what has she done to her face? I can hardly recognize her and I am not talking about signs of age. Why can't someone tell these women that this kind of medical "treatment" never looks good...
Has Tori ever given an interview where she didn’t talk about the Peabody academy or being a minister’s daughter? Same old hoary Tori stories every time lol

I just want a hug from her.
Couldn't be truer than now! 🤗
I just want to curl up in her lap and listen to her talk forever. Her music nurtures me in a way my bio mother never could.
A fine interview. She has seemed particularly comfortable with herself this year and it's great to see such an extended conversation.
How has she not won a Grammy yet?? Only the immensely talented don't win the awards.
+Sam J amazing & bizarre, huh?!?
+Sam J so true
Wise, inspiring woman. It's wonderful to watch an artist get better and better with the years.
"Winter", to this day, tears my fucking skull off and scares and astounds me.
Awesome interview. Just started listening to Tori over the past week for the first time in a while, including her older and newer songs. She's one of the very few musical artists that have NOT sold their souls for money. Wish some of the other musical artists could say the same thing.
She seems truly happy this time around, I'm happy for her!
Tori and Kate Bush two giants of the art. So nice that they are both still out there creating and performing.
Its so moving to see how caring she is towards fans,it is almost like her ministry.I wish more musicians could be as humble and loving as her.She has so much talent, she is everything an true artist should be imho.

She is beautiful, intelligent, wise, humble AND has a wonderful and unique voice.
A remarkable, intelligent woman. A true musician. Much love & respect for Tori.
She actually has worn a glittery "onesie" on stage during her 2007 tour ... in fact that was a staple theme of the tour costumes in 2007.
That woman's got a hell of a voice in her. Her style of music isn't necessarily to my taste but she's still got a hell of a voice.
When Tori is interviewed by an intelligent person we always have a great conversation. Because the woman is the most amazing talker! All that it takes a nice person to talk to.

she has a soothing ASMR voice😄🎶🔉👂
What a great interview. Very honest and eloquent. Thank you for posting :)
I love, love, LOVE you for uploading these videos for us.
Wonderful pearls of wisdom as usual...thankyou for upping.

Living legend-In my eyes Tori is John Lennon of nowadays, very eloquent articulate, intelligent and god lets not forget an amazing lyricist👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
im soo hoping for tori, fiona and jewel to rule music industry again
That would be beyond amazing. Add Ingrid Michaelson in that mix. I may need resuscitation.
Amazing hearing about her daughter. She is so humble to be able to take advice from her daughter. I think most parents would think they know better
50 is the new 30, especially for this talented beauty.
Holy hotness!
Happy Birthday, Tori!
I remember when she went on tour with Alanis Morrisette back in the late 90's or early 00's. I wished I saw that show.
I saw it in Ft. Lauderdale. 1st show of the tour. My most vivid memory was when Tori came out, lifted her leg and literally started humping the piano. Audience went nuts Lol. That show was insane. Loved it. I was 16.
Thank you so much for the vids you post

Wow, I love listening to her talk. Such a beautiful soul. Why can't I know her?
I have two thoughts from this video.

She is a wise sage
..they're great at what they do...those women...wow! What a woman, respects other female artist.
sure love her work
Love Tori’s music. My wife and I have seen her twice in concert.
I love her sooooooo much! Augh
Tori is amazing. But the really bothers me. She mentioned within 3 minutes many times about Tori being 50 years old.
50 is not old. Tori is so beautiful!!!!
And her music is superb
I noticed that too. I thought "if this chick says '50' one more time I'm going to scream!" ..she was a terrible interviewer.
I'm not even that into her music, but I just love listening to her interviews. Such a refreshing mind.
Tori Amos... So much amazing.
MY GODDESS!!!
Incredibly smart, articulate, huge talent, yet humble, unpretentious (Tori, not the interviewer)
Tori Amos is such an amazing artist! She is a sonic genius and always amazes me with her ability to transform philosophy and magic into the realms of music, emotion and art. Tori Amos shall live forever! #TheGoddess #GodsofFacebook

I'm falling in love with her !!
Great interview
I love Tori Amos.
I love you Tori!!
“On stage (...) I walk out as a musician” 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
She is so wise! I'm amazed.
This was just four days after I met her! :)
What a woman and what a man ….so much love ❤❤❤
This was a very nice interview
"Wisdom is attractive... We just have to claim it, as women, first."
Love it! Keep em' coming

Yes absolutely a one of a kind she's. An Goddess
Heroine. She's amazing and I don't even dig her music really. Mad respect, just not my flavor but the woman is an Amazon.
I wonder if people who come here to criticize her appearance stopped for a moment to listen to what this woman has to say...
It's so sad.

Creative writing ✍️ 🧠 🧠 😊😊😊
She is so talking about Madonna about not apologising. So many like to shame Madonna for still being herself at her age. Go Tori.
I love Tori but the interviewer has a strange aggressive tone, it isn't intentional I'm sure but she just needs to chill a bit in my opinon.
*DO IT!*

she also kept mentioning auto-tune onezies and talentless sluts in todays music industry, so i like her.
datura1983 Asserting that Beyonce is talentless is incredibly naive.
okay how is this. a sell out skanky ho-bag
datura1983 Can you construct a proper English sentence?
it's a typo idiot
So can't I download this directly from Huff post? Or did you make a special rip of this?
she seems nice.

Just intil
born a free soul
she reared to her father
bowed to her husband
flowed over her son
rising early and young
she had warmed the coffee
over the only fire she knwe
and woke her masters
with gentile apologies
overted eyes
and downcast brests
a piece of perfect
self-made plumming
the waters of her life
dissapeared
without a murmer
sure that in the sewers
would be her reward
one cold morning
in a distant home
when the angel
of procrastination came
she fled toward her reward
and just before
there was nothing left to find
she found
no banguet for the starved
no crown for the abdicated
and far too late
she railed against
the chilling regret
of quietly dischard atomes

Her face used to be so uniquely beautiful, now she doesn't even resemble the way she used to look. WTH has she done to herself? OMG!
I was really upset upon seeing her, but I do not want to judge. A&hh&hhhhhwtf. My initial reaction.
Honestly Donna I think the whole Universe knows what she's done to herself. Get over it. Scorpion1957 a Womans Vanity knows no limits.
the interviewer is ridiculous with her trite, lame questions. good god.
She is a bar performer at best.
She looks like Mariah Carey now, but I do not care, because her music endures. I like Mariah as well, music is for enjoyment. Be nice, I am striving to change.
Spelled incorrectly, sorry
read your comment and now I can't stop seeing the resemblance!
Heard of u2 Tori? You are a popsicle compared to the most amazing bands that have walked this planet.
This woman doesn't know how to conduct an interview
My God, what has she done to her face? I can hardly recognize her and I am not talking about signs of age.
Why can't someone tell these women that this kind of medical "treatment" never looks good...
Your daughter, well, I will leave that alone out of respect for you as a mom.
Why are you here?
Do you ask for tips when your show is over?
