Axe was trying to complete his Heart and buy a Perseverance, but in doing so the Ring of Health and HP booster combined into vanguard, confusing him. He didn't know he could disassemble so he sold it.

i used to be this way haha, man the disassemble option blew my mind back then, so many perfectly good items sold....
You see, what people don't understand is that shadowblade is essentially better then bkb in Herald as it is near invulnerable as soon as you press it against 95% of your opponents. Unironically good on every hero.
In any bracket lower than like 4k, SB is the item of immortality in 95% games.
As the designated ward and dust carrier in any game i play, semi-carry or support, i agree... i've seen many games vs heroes with INNATE invis, and i'm the only one carrying dust and wards.
even in pro games i think, daedalus just doesnt give as much as a silver edge, daedalus = damage/crit (pretty meh)
silver edge = movement speed, mobility, invisibility, damage/crit, positioning (plus easier build up)
Imagine back then there is no dust and sentry cost 200 gold 😅
i disagree. my old account is hardstuck below 2k, and people there are actually just smart, not just skilled enough (slow reaction times, poor mechanical skills, etc)
What I like about Heralds is that they do whatever comes to their minds.
Sometimes is out of the box, some times it is just wrong XD

I love how you could almost physically see the cogs turning for axe to eventually figure out the blademail "oh yeah, I have an item that could help here" after being shot like 10 times by the sniper in that 1v1.

I was actually worried that with the new glicko system we'd have fewer herald reviews from Jenkins. I'm talking 1 in every 4-5 months or so. Hopefully that won't be the case coz this quality videos are entertaining as hell.
In spite of playing dota for two decades, I spent a long couple years in the herald trenches somehow. I'm decent mechanics wise, and have accumulated a lot of game knowledge, yet couldnt climb out for the longest time.
A huge part was my own doing, because i couldn't help but lose mind in every other game.
Jenkins herald videos are a small glimpse into that madness. Every single game is like this, punctuated by the very rare game with flawless team execution where everyone understand and even excels at their role, the euphoria of which is almost indescribable.
It is short lived though. The next game is almost always a rolling dumpster fire just like something jenkins would feature. It becomes a negative feedback loop that's very difficult to break.
i think i found new stress reliever 😌 its so fun watching herald play dota you will find the craziest thing that you would never imagine in your bracket.
6:30 honestly. make this a dota game show. "guess the heralds hero" show high mmr players pictures of inventories like this and have them guess what hero the person is playing based solely on that
As a herald I can confirm that harpoon is now more common than wards. Also yes, I build it purely because it's fun.

As always, those low ranked players are just UNPREDICTABLE.
Harpoon is fun to Heralds because everyone wants to play Pudge for hooks, but noone at that level is *good* at using hook. Harpoon acts like hook without needing skill, so they pick it up constantly.
I just get flabbergasted on how dire looked like the winning team but then later on they're the one defending their base

6:41, what is the "Green Circlular Amulet" beside (left side) night stalker's icon in the battle map? mk's icon doesn't have it on the side. the "green circle thing" is also shown in the video's thumbnail, beside axe's icon.
Herald mindset: silence = cannot use items because cannot use skill. (kind of a permanent panic)

I was placed in Crusader 5 for some reason but I can confirm that harpoon is a super fun item and I put it on a lot of the melee off laners I play.

The neutral items situation is painful to watch. No items on ogre or NS, book on ursa, giants ring on monkey and sniper and pirate hat on Sky

I laughed very hard at all the silly noob item builds, but half the laughs hide a dark sadness knowing these are my teammates in most my matches.

these heralds actually learned about juking, cancelling attack animation, etc but lacks basic decision making like what item to buys

I really want to understand how herald logic works. They literally kill everybody in the enemy team. They know that neither of them has buyback. They still don’t push to end the game. My expectation was at any rank, if a team wipe happens at minute 60, it should be over in a few seconds.
maybe some of them are actually new players, who don't know what to do in those situations.
@@jrbudoybudoy I mean you killed all of them. The number of options available to you are limited: 1. push and win, 2. rosh and win, 3. don't do anything and waste the won fight.
I have been a Herald, Crusader now.
Most heralds are too focused on their goals that they don't let the useless things like winning a game be come in between achieving the same goal.
If a tidehunter has decided that he wants refresher orb, and all 5 enemies are dead. He would still go jungle and get the refresher.
Even supports are the same.
@@theSONUA supporting is the dumbest thing in herald. Why would you support someone if he doesn’t want to win the game? You just waste time, resources, gold, everything. Get a pusher hero and do everything yourself.

This is the problem with actual Dota 2. They added so many things that makes new players frustrate a lot. Dota 2 is a difficult game, even with the auto help things that they added today (more likely auto stupid help). Dota 2 were perfect back to 2014 before REBORN shit. They made HUGE changes instead of SMALL changes and see how people feel every update.
It's a shame.... back then I used to search a game and match in no more than 1 minute. Now even searching Turbo delays 3 min plus

AAAH YESSS. Herald gaming. I remember when I was new to the game, I bought Dragon Lance on Axe (because I was so used to buying it on Sniper). And I was buying two boots. 🤣 One of my teammates told everyone to check my items, and they laughed at me. I just said, "I have two feet." 🥲
Some people get hype when they see a Miracle- play. I get hype when I see a Herald discovering what Blademail does.
That's after 5000 hours of gameplay too lol

They basically kicked out and banned most smurfs from herald. Smurfing is a lot harder to do in lower ranks now so now you only have bad players in herald rather than smurfs lol
and rank is more like csgo rank now so the more you play In a day the less mmr you gain/loss in each game
This is the true herald. After the glicko thing was implemented, only the true heralds remained herald
Praise Glicko giving us an actual bell curve on the mmr distribution instead of shunting 90% of the playerbase into herald. Makes the herald games much more entertaining to watch.

@@Delimon007 Crusader has never been filled with more terrible players than ever before. Its actually unplayable for ranking up. Maybe it worked out better in other ranks
@@Delimon007 I didnt fall, actually got to 6500, but low immortal rank is definetely the new ancient 5/ divine 1. Maybe it should be that way for better mmr disturbution

The Blademail move could actually have been sick just like when Sumail bought a 60 min Blademail on Alchemist against the Sniper. Insta won them the game in one fight.

Looking at axe build Mjolnir ,BM seems fine if he has SHARD. Then i see he gets the shard at 80 min Tormentor. Heralds are just too good.

You ask why any one with any role buy wards and sentry becz wards are free and all buy sentry, in heralds pick any hero farm 30 min and end , becz most of the game goes up to 50 min. I did lot of time with husker jugg bs, I m too 1k
