- On Thursday I was lucky enough to spontaneously head out cross country schooling at Launceston with the superstar that is Simon Grieve.
Simon is a 5* Eventer, Instructor and Presenter, you may recognise him from Swipe Up Kick On!!
He massively helped me conquer some fears and gain more confidence XC Schooling. It’s made me super excited about our next event!!

Love how on-board Simon is!! I do not know many 5* riders who would vlog with someone!! How great is this. You look like you’re ready to take on anything you like! What a lovely boy your Banksy is🦄

So lovely to see Banksy’s face over those xc fences and please bear in mind that you look after him every day so wonderfully and he repays you by taking equally good care of you over those scary fences. That is his honest, genuine and talented nature, he wants to please, jump those fences and very good care of you! We all have moments of doubt and wussiness but it’s how we deal with them that is important and you are dealing! Much love to you both x

WOW Tina, you & Banksy looked AWESOME 🤗 You go girl 👏👏 You were soaring. I don't think the height, width & technical demands of these jumps can be fully appreciated on video. You can achieve anything & everything you set your mind to Tina. You certainly both have the talent & skill. It is so wonderful to see your confidence shine through. ❤

- A fantastic book I recommend is ‘The Power of Now’ by Eckhart Tolle. It relates highly to stating how you’ve been swapping the feelings of nerves into excitement. Extremely enlightening!

Loved this one! So glad to see you pushed through those few stops at the beginning and worked those kinks out later in your session. Having someone on the ground (especially someone as wonderful as Simon) helping to boost your confidence and encourage you forward is so helpful. I always feel like my trainer has more confidence in my abilities than I do and I know that when she says I can do something I really can even if I feel a bit nervous about it. I am going to a show this weekend and this video has given me more confidence to get out there and do it even though I am also feeling rather "excited". :) Thank you again for all that you share with us and so much love to your Banksy boy!

Love this video! Sat with the POV on his back makes you realise What an amazing horse he is. Mor than that what an incredible bond and partnership you have. Will be sad when you have to retire him. You need to find a baby Banksy backup Tina, so in a couple of years time you have one that can take the pressure on the main man xx
Oh Tina this is absolutely EPIC!!! Bloody well done girlie! It was pretty cool to get to "ride" Banksy with you. It's giving positive vibes for upcoming 2 Phase competitions coming up (hopefully staying on board this time :/).

That was fab- love how Cameron critiques your dressage test not solely based on how well the actual test went overall, but how well he knows you & Banks can perform each specific movement. It is a really interesting approach.

This was fab to watch, I got all goosebumpy!! When I used to struggle with lack of confidence, PMA. When doing things I had done perfectly well before but had a bit of a mental block about (because it does happen to EVERYONE at 1 point or another) My instructor used to record herself saying positive and helpful things, like get a decent canter and he’ll sort himself out, you can do this, youve done it before, wait for him before you fold, just loads of stuff like that, that used to disappear from my head when I was tense and nervous etc. I’d listen to it as I was training on my own or even at the start of a competition, and it helped so much. Felt like even though I was training or competing on my own, i wasn’t on my own. I used to be a person that very much needed my hand held and (meant in the nicest way possible) I see that a little bit in you. Maybe something for you to try ? X x

Cameron makes me smile so much! He's the sort of coach that can say whatever he wants to you, it'd be impossible to fall out with him! He says it like it is but in such a positive and encouraging way. Can I ask what star sign he is?! Watching you and Banksy is just a joy. You have just come on so far and really seem to be enjoying it. Massive confidence boost although you do seem to worry a bit but then I think that's natural and gives you something to work through. Simon and Cameron are just amazing with you and really seem to know what you need. Tina you really are so lovely and can do this with Mr Banksy. You are such a great team and it just gets better the more you do. Massive hugs, love and of course 🥕 🥕 lol xx

Great to see you reattempt the table at the end and smash it!! Whenever I feel nerves during riding, I say to myself, “Be brave. Fake it til you make it!” Works every time for me because my pony is very good at reading my nerves so I just gotta fake it that I don’t have nerves!
