Thanks guys. My 13 year old grandson is ASD and things have to be done the way he wants like OCD traits, but spends most of his time in his bedroom playing computer games and Stimms. His 6 year old brother has ASD traits and is awaiting assessment. Their 8 year old sister has just been assessed as having ASD. She was going to school until Christmas and suddenly developed this type of OCD, where she has to repeat sentences and people with her have to repeat movements that they have done. Or if people have touched her, they must repeat it, or if she touches her face or hair she must repeat it. She was screaming saying she was so angry, presumably at being driven to do these things, and as you said, looks worn out trying to do it. Sometimes she will leave her bedroom but most times not. It’s a little different to you guys repeating. She is being assisted by mental health team, and we are trying to understand and get used to it, but I’m wondering if you can give your observations and what drugs are provided to help. The sudden change was such a shock, but we understand it happens to many girls at puberty. I got diagnosed with Asperger’s at about 50 years of age, after I could see some traits in myself. So defo in the genes. Cheers.
My ocd has been out of control lately. I have issues with anything dirty touching my hands. I have been avoiding the dishes because of it. I will tell myself I will get them done and as soon as I look at them I get anxious and will not touch them without gloves but then my Autism kicks in and I have an issue with the gloves texture overwhelming me. What can I do to get past this? Any tips?
Medication can be a fickle thing, so I can't suggest anything on good conscience. Normally, they give you SSRI's or anxiolytics for it. What I can suggest are B vitamins, especially B6, and l-tryptophane before sleep.
yall do you think this is ocd bc im scared to ask my mom if she can take me to someone who knows abt it because idk its embarassing for me?? i really am done with these thoughts, take a look at them:"if i dont finish doing the dishes before my mom comes in , i die" "i cant touch a certain place of my bed when i go to sleep or i get killed" i cry over these bro ToT
i said this to one of my classmates who has ocd and he said it was ocd but i am still not rlly convinced in asking my mom abt it also what in the world do i do if i know i have it cuz idk if anything can stop it from being in my thoughts cuz its there everyday anyways thank you for the vid
If it gets to the point that it's disruptive to functioning in everyday life, you should talk to your mom to see a specialist. Try some vitamins before anything else. I have some symptoms, and B6 helps with it.
I think my sister might have OCD as she has to hoover her whole house everyday...her husband has given up trying to stop her. Is there any way I can help her?
She should see a therapist, preferably. But let her try some vitamins first. Magnesium with B's, especially B6 are really good. There's some supplements that can help, like l-theanine and l-tryptophane. The latter helped me the most. Also, Ashwagandha could be a tremendous help.

It's hard to see the little ones suffer. Hope they're good, all the best.

Hi guys my son has severe OCD could you please tell me some examples of medication that help.

What types of medication help with OCD? Prozac isn't helping my son.
I'm on Prozac and it works well for me. But I did have to try a few different SSRI medications before I found the right one.
Sertraline or Fluovoxamine
