I was homeless 16 years old( white girl) in south Africa and the street children in hillbrow looked after me when I got on my feet and went looking for them most had died. @@ramonlgarcia9036 If he's by himself...it's hard when you first start working b/c you have to have at least two paychecks to qualify for any type of childcare assistance. She seems to be under elementary school age as well...so you have to shell out the money for childcare for at least a month before you can qualify for assistance OR find an employer who is fine with you bringing your child to work with you. Hopefully, he has a home b/c most shelters won't take a dad and young girl. Hell, most shelters are women's shelters and won't accept men or take male children once they hit 14...at least near me, that's how they are. It's easy to judge until you have to live that life. If I didn't have a least a little support, I would've been screwed tbh.

It a universal thing I seen it in California where working class people live in there car because they can’t afford rent they have just decided to keep the car payment and insurance on their vehicle get free food take shower in the gym it becomes a survival mechanism, in one of the richest country in world people are suffering another I was watching where went president Dixion was in power he vowed to wipe hungry in the USA and it still there because it was one place where the community depend on the coal mining for their living after the factory closed down other factors come in there start business, it just keep going down it become the way of life there some families go hungry have to skip a meal to give the younger ones shamefulness the children rely on the school program to have a good meal, and when school is out a truck goes around to supply the children with food, they so depend on the system it makes them don’t see another way out or maybe they don’t want to associate themselves to outsider 🤷🏽♀️they set in their ways

Losing a job and not being able to find another one crates homeless people.. that along with not having family or friends who could support them during hard times.
My uncle was like this except he had nothing and always tried feeding everyone on the street that was hungry or giving friends a couch to sleep on, than he got a check for 15k gave it out to family but everyone left after his money ran out, he passed away and so did my mom who was 43 lbs in a wheelchair but they were the nicest humans ever miss them so much i helped them out
Your approach is so sensitive, and beautiful. I was hesitant to watch this, because most of these are so exploitative. “So tell me, what can I do to help you?”. This approach I’ll remember and use the rest of my life. We don’t need more people like this man, we just all need to _be_ this man.

I am South African and I can tell you that this is typically how the young (Afrikaans white) kids normally would walk around. So it's not at all weird for Afrikaans white people to walk around barefoot (in the shops etc) Yes, in this instance the family might also not have the means to afford shoes for her but even if they had the means I think the little girl would have probably still been barefoot.

I came across a subreddit for homeless people and you will be surprised how many of them work but it is actually not enough to get them off the streets. Also, no place will actually keep them as an employee long term due to them being homeless so they are usually just there temporary. These are people without kids now when you add in a kid things are a lot tougher due to the fact he has no place to drop the kid off while he’s working
@udhehfhehcuw9169 I guess it’s easier said when you’re on the outside looking in. Many homeless people don’t have family they can turn to in times of need otherwise they wouldn’t be on the streets. A lot of the things we have and think is simple to achieve is a lot harder when you literally have nothing but the clothes on your back. Maybe take a look at the homeless reddit and you would have a better understanding from their point of view. All I’m saying is don’t judge if you don’t know their situation

The problem is, it’s easy to forget the bad apples that ruin it for everybody. I agree with YOU 100% but there has been times that I’ve encountered people just like that and then all of a sudden you see them lying about everything that they tell you because when you follow them, they’re not homeless. It breaks my heart. Good people suffer for the bad deeds of others. Not everybody has the time to confirm whether or not it is a legitimate family in need. Sure you can always give without with thinking, but at some point, people need to be more honest about these types of issues

In 2020, I was a delivery person for Ifood and, whenever I had a canceled order, I would supply it to those who really needed it. I spent the whole day without eating properly, I put it in my head that I have food at home, and these people don't even have a roof or fabric to keep warm...
So sad how many bread factory is in this world throw out all the bread that they consider that can't make it to the Shelf and supermarkets when they can just donate all of them to homeless shelters

Will the man who was helped buy the tools to start his own business? I have my doubts but I wish him and his family well. I was homeless for a very long time, not always at the same time, but on and off for long stretches. I became homeless when I was 16, due to an abusive household, and was safer on the streets than at home. I was also homeless at times with some of my kids, which was even harder. People like to judge the kind of parent you are, yet all you really want is for your kids to be safe and fed. This father looks like he loves his little girl very much, and would move heaven and earth for her. It doesn't make him a bad parent, just a dad down on his luck. God bless you for helping this family! There needs to be more people like you, that DON'T judge. Most of the time, people just need some support and someone to listen. To see them, not see through them. There needs to be more people out there to take the time to offer any type of support, whether with money, or help finding accomodation, or even some employment.

What’s funny is in the moment I wasn’t even thinking I just saw someone in need and I offered a helping hand I instantly thought about you after the fact. She seems to be under elementary school age as well...so you have to shell out the money for childcare for at least a month before you can qualify for assistance OR find an employer who is fine with you bringing your child to work with you.
Hopefully, he has a home b/c most shelters won't take a dad and young girl. Hell, most shelters are women's shelters and won't accept men or take male children once they hit 14...at least near me, that's how they are. It's easy to judge until you have to live that life. If I didn't have a least a little support, I would've been screwed tbh.

My uncle was like this except he had nothing and always tried feeding everyone on the street that was hungry or giving friends a couch to sleep on, than he got a check for 15k gave it out to family but everyone left after his money ran out, he passed away and so did my mom who was 43 lbs in a wheelchair but they were the nicest humans ever miss them so much i helped them out

I am South African and I can tell you that this is typically how the young (Afrikaans white) kids normally would walk around. So it's not at all weird for Afrikaans white people to walk around barefoot (in the shops etc) Yes, in this instance the family might also not have the means to afford shoes for her but even if they had the means I think the little girl would have probably still been barefoot.

I came across a subreddit for homeless people and you will be surprised how many of them work but it is actually not enough to get them off the streets. Also, no place will actually keep them as an employee long term due to them being homeless so they are usually just there temporary. These are people without kids now when you add in a kid things are a lot tougher due to the fact he has no place to drop the kid off while he’s working

It makes me mad that churches always whine "money is the root of all evil." Okay, why do so many churches/religious groups ask for money all the time? Why are so many televangelists filthy rich? Why does every society in the world that I've heard of require people have money to survive? I never have heard a response from the church that sounded convincing...
@@largol33t1 I agree with every word you said. I live in San Diego, Ca ine of the most posh places on the planet, and there are literally thousands of homeless people and families in poverty.
The problem is, it’s easy to forget the bad apples that ruin it for everybody. I agree with YOU 100% but there has been times that I’ve encountered people just like that and then all of a sudden you see them lying about everything that they tell you because when you follow them, they’re not homeless. It breaks my heart. Good people suffer for the bad deeds of others. Not everybody has the time to confirm whether or not it is a legitimate family in need. Sure you can always give without with thinking, but at some point, people need to be more honest about these types of issues
@@IRLSuperb You are right but that shouldn't stop us from being who we are, that is just another aspect of living in this world. I usually don't help people that ask me for money, I have to see you, want to help you, and do it from the heart.

Nice gesture, I hope the world has more people like that. Helping someone without looking at who! In 2020, I was a delivery person for Ifood and, whenever I had a canceled order, I would supply it to those who really needed it. I spent the whole day without eating properly, I put it in my head that I have food at home, and these people don't even have a roof or fabric to keep warm...

Will the man who was helped buy the tools to start his own business? I have my doubts but I wish him and his family well. I was homeless for a very long time, not always at the same time, but on and off for long stretches. I became homeless when I was 16, due to an abusive household, and was safer on the streets than at home. I was also homeless at times with some of my kids, which was even harder. People like to judge the kind of parent you are, yet all you really want is for your kids to be safe and fed. This father looks like he loves his little girl very much, and would move heaven and earth for her. It doesn't make him a bad parent, just a dad down on his luck.
God bless you for helping this family! There needs to be more people like you, that DON'T judge. Most of the time, people just need some support and someone to listen. To see them, not see through them. There needs to be more people out there to take the time to offer any type of support, whether with money, or help finding accomodation, or even some employment.
