There are 2 things to know. 1. Remove the charging unit when fully charged 2. You will have to replace Inogen Replacement Column Pair every 12 to 18 months depending on use You can order the part and it takes about 1-2 minutes to replace it. Look on TH-cam.
After replacing the column, in a few months I got a message in the G4 window " Low Oxygen need service" The person who sold me the unit said, "It is too old to repair" I have to buy a new unit. I found that all Imogen portable products have a limited life. Check before you buy.
Battery life can vary based on several factors, including the oxygen flow rate, age of the batteries, and usage patterns. It's not uncommon for battery life to decrease over time as the batteries age. Regarding noise, portable oxygen concentrators do produce some level of noise during operation. However, if you find the noise to be excessive or unusual, it's advisable to have the device inspected by the manufacturer or a qualified technician to ensure that it's operating correctly and to address any noise-related concerns. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations for maintaining and using your specific oxygen concentrator model. If your batteries are relatively new and you're still experiencing short battery life, it's essential to reach out to the manufacturer or an authorized service provider for further assistance and potential replacement if necessary.

If someone has the G5 and uses a flow pulse setting of 4 but wants a smaller more portable unit, would the 3 pulse settings of the G4 be adequate? Are the 1 to 3 settings on the G4 equivalent to the 1 to 3 settings on the G5 or are the more like 1,3, and 6 on the G5? Thanks.
I bought a G4 for my wife, 1st one she complained it was to noisy, sent it back and it got lost in the mail. Second one lasted one month and went out and just sent it back at the greedy cost of $90 not happy eith the junk from 1st class medical in Florida. I must have missed the made in China sticker.

Why would I buy your backpack just to give you FREE adverts You should include the Backpack with the unit because people like me are very active riding bikes and use backpack all the times
If your Inogen G4 displayed an error that it's not showing now, then the error must have gone and you don't need to worry about it. If it shows up again, then you can check suggested troubleshooting method in the user manual or call your equipment provider. You can find the user manual here: www.oxygenconcentratorstore.com/portable-oxygen-concentrator-manuals/
Ensure that air vents are not blocked. If the unit is in a carrying case or backpack, see that it's positioned properly. Check for any kinks or twists in the nasal cannula. If the error persists, please call your vendor.
Do you have any experience with Medicare covering any of the unit cost? I know there are certain conditions they'll cover portable concentrators. Thank you.

My batteries do not last as long as this gentleman states. 1:45 minutes for the small one and about 3 hrs for the double. It is also very noisy.

Thanks for your feedback, Robert.
the g4 with double battery in it's carry bag weighs 5.2 lbs !! my pulmonologist confirmed this. INOGEN NEEDS TO CLARIFY THIS
Inogen G4 with a single battery is 2.8 pounds and a double battery it is 3.3 pounds.

Pulse dose settings on Inogen G4 1 to 3 are the same as the pulse dose settings on Inogen G5 1 to 3. The oxygen output per minute is same.

Please contact your equipment provider (where you purchased the concentrator from) to get your unit serviced.
It maybe normal but it is too loud. During our Sunday school class the instructor said "what's that noise, that popping?" Yep much too loud.
It will overheat on a setting of 3.
Carry case does not fit with large battery installed
Please contact your equipment provider (where you purchased the concentrator from) or the manufacturer, they tell you how to accommodate it.
