I always put my spool of line in a bucket of water before I reel it onto my rods keeps it straight and the spool doesn't go crazy all over the place

nice diy but there's no tension on the spool. it won't spool right.
@@tommkc I did notice that at times.. had to make a few adjustments…. Spooling like a champ now!
Pencil through spool, pencil held by toes, tension is adjustable by compression.

hi! very nice idea, but wouldn't the line be all twisted on the spool ?
@@b09daN90 so far it’s keep my line straight. I try to keep it coming from the top of the spool. It seems to spin off better. You can even try soaking the line for a few days too. Good luck!
