That’s amazing progress! I started playing the violin 2 years ago, aged 42. I already had about 35 years of piano experience but the violin is a whole different ballgame ;) . Right now I’m studying Seitz Concerto no. 5 and Kuchler opus 15. I find the most challenging part (well, apart from finding the notes ;) ) to relax my shoulders. I’m looking into mindfulness/meditation to help with that. But I do enjoy playing!
Thanks a lot!! Congrats for starting your violin journey and keeping it up!! Best of luck for practicing your pieces, I hope you have fun with them, they sound really nice :) Thank you for sharing about your journey so far, wishing you lots of enjoyment and fullfillness with this beautiful instrument! 🤗
Bonjour Valentine. Wow! I'm about four years with violin and I'm not even close to where you were at that point. You are truly a professional now. Hope things are going well for you in England. Take care, Jim 💚🎻🎵
Bonjour Jim! Thank you so much for your nice comment, I am always happy to hear about you. I'm so happy you enjoyed the video🤗 I'm actually still in France to do a work experience, but my husband is already there and he loves it! I'll let you know once I move there, but I'm sure it's going to be lovely. How are things on your side? What piece are you practicing at the moment?
Wow, you sound great and it's so perfectly in tune in the last clips 👏👏 what are the pieces at 6 years called? They sound beautiful! I'm 4 years and 2 months into learning the violin and it's so inspiring to watch other people putting in so much practice over so many years as well 💪
Thank you so much for your kind comment! The first piece is called Sakura, a trad. japanese arranged by Maria Kaneko Millar. The second one is called Allegro Brillant by Willem Ten Have. I am so glad you enjoyed this video, thank you for watching, and best of luck for your violin journey 🤗😘
Bonjour Joe!
Heyy there !! Do u have any musical touch prior starting violin ?! I mean it’s pretty impressive for just 6 years … 😳 You totally aced it !! All the very best for your musical journey 💐💐
Hi!! Thank you for your nice comment 😊 I have always sang and started playing accompaniment guitar about 3 years before I started violin, but I didn't have any kind of training or music theory background, was just singing celtic songs I liked and playing the chords. Thanks a lot, all the best to you too 🤗
Hello and thank you for your nice comment :) I studied at the conservatory for 5 years until last june, I took a year out in 2023. Before starting the conservatory, learnt violin on my own for about a year in 2018. Thanks a lot, that's really kind 🤗
@@valentine_roland_violin wow that's amazing! I thought you could only get in when you already have tons of experience, I always hear stories of who play all their life before applying. The other day some girl was adviced that she was too old starting age 12. Who ever advised her was apparantly wrong 😊
You're right! I personally did about 40 minutes to 1h30 per day most days for the first 5 years, and about 2 hours/2h30 a day on the 6 year for my final exam. But I think how someone practices is also important, and not only how long they practice :)
Impressive evolution of your skill. Bravo !
Thank you so much! 🤗

What really matters is how many hours you play. i wonder it.If it's under 1 hour per day on average, it's pretty impressive.
