On Jackson's last turn, what if, instead of going out with ERG, he had played just one or two tiles, or even a phony, trying to get Joel to go overtime? Would that have been considered an unsportsmanlike tactic?
in current tournament rules, you have 10 minutes of extra allotted "overtime". If you go over between 1 and 60 seconds, you lose 10 points off your score, between 61 and 120, 20 points, etc. After 10 minutes you automatically lose.
What happened at 25:50? Looks like Joel drew one too many tiles, but why does that give Jackson the right to look at three of them? Surely you would just put them back in the bag and draw again, or Jackson can choose one (face down) to go back? edit: ah, it's explained a little bit around 29:00, but I couldn't find that in the official rules when googling them edit 2: in NZ rules: "If the player has not yet placed any replacement tiles on his/her rack, the opponent shall pick as many tiles as are overdrawn from those lying face down on the table and return them to the bag."
Joel looks bad on time with 37 tiles still remaining The first three opening plays were truly brilliant, absolute perfection First game I've seen with Jackson not bingoing over halfway through the game!
Excellent game! GRILLE was an awesome find.

Good game. Very nice.
nice game, joel clutched it out nicely with low time! may I ask what happens when a player runs out of time?

I'm not sure, but i think DEDAL is a small cup of metal that you put on a finger whilst sowing
