... you should say "didn't that sermon strike my heart? Didn't that message exactly relate to my condition? Wasn't it a rebuke that I deserved, a word of reproof or of exhortation? Let me take it to heart that which I have heard and let me not judge the preacher, for he is God's messenger to my soul. I came to church to be judged by God's Word and not to judge God's Word myself" "

There is a clue in the story that Adam was not present when Eve had the conversation with the Serpent. The clue was that Adam said nothing. The only way this could have happened was that he was not present. Adam response to God is very telling, “the woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.” Genesis 3:6 summarizes what happened, that is Adam ate the forbidden fruit. 1 Timothy 2:14 support this thought process that Adam was not deceived. So what happened, Adam loved Eve and couldn’t see himself without her. Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone, therefore; he ate the forbidden fruit. If he was there, he would have said something period.
