Anyone who watches the chiefs know their biggest weakness, whether it was Alex Smith’ fault or Andy Reid’s, is red zone efficiency. Queue flashback to the 6 field goal game against PIT. If Mahomes can improve upon that, then it’s a success.
Ninjachickenfingers california style offense that was ran with Reid-Smith is only successful when it breaks big plays. Its not made to be ran in the redzone you get smothered in the redzone because the defense doesnt have to look for a deep ball shot

Yes if you look at people like sam darnold he threw a pick almost every game i bet he does look better. Still having 10 interceptions his last year playing only 12 games. Thats one almost every game he steps on the field. In college thats not bad but in the pros that could be a game and in the playoffs that is a game lost. Kid has talent and i can see him becoming a great qb i just havent seen anything impressive over the last season and preseason so far that he seems to have gotten better.

What are you watching? The Chiefs have dominated the AFC West? Umm no... 10-6 last year and won the division by 1 game, the year before won via tie breaker over the Raiders. Then the Broncos won the division for 5 straight years. The Chiefs have dominated nothing!
They're 11-1 in the last 2 years against the AFC West. That's "dominating them". The chargers have not beaten them in I believe 10 games? The broncos in 6 games. The Raiders are 1-5 against them in their last 6. That's called dominating the AFC West.

I'm not going to take the time to look it up, but I would venture to guess the Patriots have lost at least once in the last 5 years to each team in their division. I believe his last year in college, the Red Raiders were #125 or #126 in total defense. Give me a quarterback that can outdo that

ryen mcdonald 1. Obviously not as bad as the Red Raiders: 2015 they were number #125 out of 128 in total points given up. In 2016, they were #128. As far as yards are concerned, in 2015, they were #127 of #128. In 2016, they were #128. In both years, they were the only B12 team that bad in both categories.
2. He played two years as a starter. Both years he eclipsed 4500 yards passing. His worst TD-INT ratio was 2.4 - that's pretty good for a guy averaging 46 passing attempts per game. He also had above 60% completion rate.
Shanon Gramma 1 just saying they’re not as bad is meaningless. I need specific stats to judge. if they’re close to being as bad but TT had a better offense and limited turnovers like that to/int ratio u put then they should have a better record than those particular teams. TT was horrible with him. He gambled a lot and had a bunch of 3 and outs which don’t help the defense either.
2 at a school like TT those passing yard stats are meaningless and with their type of spread offense the completion percentage and to/int stat is meaningless when it comes to the nfl. Lots of TT qbs had just as many or more yards, were more or just as accurate and won more games with a bad defense and they were all horrible in the league.

Yeah, yeah, I keep hearing people praise this kid like he's the second coming of Marino or something and he hasn't done ANYTHING in an NFL uniform yet. I understand his arm is big but there are plenty of big arm QBs who accomplished nothing. This year he's the man and he's going against Carr with Gruden, Phillip Rivers, and Case Kennum with those receivers in Denver, so good luck. Also all of those teams defenses will have improved from last year. Maybe he'll prove me wrong, but until I see him actually play a game I'm not ready to crown this kid or the Chiefs yet like I see so many other people doing.

My dude. Week 17 of the regular season to the beginning of the preseason is nowhere near "one year". He's had 10 minutes of on the field time in a game since that time. You're just shitting on him for the sake of shitting on him with that comment. And for what it's worth, most receivers would have come back to that ball and it would have been an incomplete pass.
And it was not the same throw or the same coverage, they were also on opposite sides (right vs left) of the field. One throw floated high on him (last years) the other was a telegraphed throw. Completely different circumstances and completely different throws. Your not being truthful in the assessment. Two different types of mistakes; each he may learn from if he uses them as "learning tools".
