It's not really the characters I enjoy seeing, but rather the creativity & ingenuity to utilize aspects of a character that not many people dare to use. This is why I don't see people like SonicFox or Ninja as the best players. Yeah, they know the buttons, but that is it. The way they play the game is absolutely soulless. I find myself drawn to players that handle not just low tiers, but characters that are regarded as incomplete or boring & they just work with such efficiency, while still being creative. Johnny, Lao, Nitara, Quan, Noob, Shao, etc... all of these characters can be so much fun to watch, when the player actually takes into account the personality of the character they play. "What would __ genuinely do in this situation?" It's so simple, yet, not many competitive players care about that. They only care about what works, how can *I* exploit this character's abilities", rather than asking how the character would use the abilities they have. Long rant, I know.
Yes, because unfortunately, most pros are doing the same combos over and over again, no creativity, and this can becone boring. Sure, when you are in a competition and you wanna get some money out of it, you will play only the way that will get you victory. Me, you, everyone would do it. BUT if you just wanna have some fun, you try different moves and this way, it becomes more enjoyable to watch ( and play )
I would say Geras is the most fun to watch. He has hype and u think to play him and he keeps you involved and engaged even as a viewer. Geras is the reason I enjoy MK1
As a spectator I like watching Kitana fights as those are very rare but at the same time interesting to watch good Kitana players go against the usual players I see

Not the biggest fan of her playstyle this time around, but, no Jade, Kitana is a close second) Tanya (hardly see her played since the change; throwing it out into the universe, Tanya players: where are you?) Omniman (Fan of the comics, reason I bought the game, simple and brutal.) SHANG TSUNG (Character has such cracked combo potential. Wish I saw him more) Smoke's become very cool to watch too, can't lie. Can't play him myself, takes a finesse I just enjoy watching. And after learning Kenshi, Fabz is right to defend him, and is a joy to watch at high level.
I enjoy watching those fights but I hate the full blurry screen and it also hides the upscale number, it would be better if you make it black and white instead or partially blurry
