Lost already, had a PayPal account that confused the crap out of me.
Will grab a pen and paper, then re-watch this video.
I am not an idiot, the human mind can only focus on maybe 3-5 things. Taking in so much information, means many actions are being processed.
Thus a pen+paper+pause button will help me navigate this video so I can get the ball rolling for my business plans and other activities.

Thank you for this! I'm diving back into the PayPal waters because it's inconvenient not having it. During the early part of the shutdown I discovered someone in my old apt building was using Paypal credit in my name. I didn't even know there was such a thing as Paypal credit! They paid the bill few times before doing the big rip off! and buying over 6K in stuff! Paypal and Synchrony helped resolve it but it was NOT easy. Jeez. Such a headache. Anyway, I appreciate the information you've shared!

Why don’t you want to use your social security number? That’s what it’s for to verify who you are and it’s needed here since this involves money and uses your bank account.

So in essence you never get the funds ( actual cash) in hand that were sent to your PayPal account? But instead you use your debit card at a merchant and select PayPal?
You can move them to your bank account. The money doesn’t have to stay in your PayPal account

Question. When you use a card through PayPal, why does the card issuer charge the transaction as PayPal? But when doing the same thing through Apple Pay, it shows a direct purchase eg. McDonalds, Target, etc etc?

best way i found using paypal for the credit is curbside pick up and returnig the item amex still lets u keep the credit
Just be careful Amex has reversed credits before for that. Hopefully it sticks but they could come back for it

If you have a connected account, it should come out of your bank account

If someone pays you money it will go into your PayPal account. From there you'll need to transfer it to your bank account. There should be a section that says transfer
