Always that feeling of missing something that others seem to understand so well. But don't let it get so bitter, try to put your ego at bay for a moment (I'm not implying anything, it's just an advice) and enjoy other people's music, you might even get inspired by it. Sincerely, not projecting myself in anyone's work is helping me with my esteem, so it may help you too
You know what brother? This piece feels as though it is like impressionist, an ethereal one at that. I wish to even learn its theory so that i may apply it to the pieces i may make, ones with romantical aspects. Impressionism and romanticism may be different but to me they seem almost the same, the only difference that impressionism may take on different forms depending on the listener. What i love about this is that is it not that love feels as though when you see the one who brings you joy makes you feel like there is a howling and powerful gale going through your body? The beauty of this piece makes me imagine that of being in piece with myself almost, like a sparkling waterfall or being above the towering clouds. So, indeed you are right brother, I should appreciate this piece at this moment so that i may be moved by it, inspired by it. It is not wrong nor right to look down on oneself simply because another did better when they were younger, but what is wrong is being bitter about such things. If this piece have not been made and not even uploaded in the first place, then i may never have been able to appreciate such a great thing in this world. Thank you brother for reminding me that between artists, age, nationality and other such things do not get in the way of our expression, for it is our creation that helps us express ourselves in ways that no words can be able to, that age is not a roadblock. Thank you again brother, I deeply appreciate the words you have said. Okay so sorry for getting so deep there 😭
@@thatgamerboy3467 It's always that moment where you witness something some random person made that seems utterly unmatchable, because the way the art is getting to you somehow bestows you with utter amazement, but at the same time, almost this feeling of existential dread... this has happened to me before. My mixing was no doubt much better, but I felt like they had a sort of focus in the particular genre of EDM they were making, that just obliterated my hope in the kind of thing I had been chasing towards creating. I got up from my PC and paced around my house, with a feeling in my heart and my head that I'm sure you've felt before, based on your comment. I don't remember exactly when that was, but it was probably a little over a year ago. In retrospect, it pushed me to make things better than what I have ever made before, within even just a few months' time. I've always had this problem that I can't make something new, but in July and August of this year I would say I've just about defeated it - My past 7 projects (none of which are completely finished, but atleast a considerable amount of it is complete) have not fallen below my standard of decent, and can probably impress most people by my ability to have made them. Just because of this random .mp3 on some random discord server, I've possibly become much better in my methodology and mindset for making music, and have much more to show off than I did 1 year ago. The thing to understand with making art, is that you can go, in a few hours, from having what feels like nothing, to having what feels like everything. I'm not exactly sure what programs you use, but it's true for almost any digital forms of content creation like music production, composition, art, animation, game development - you name it - that you are able to create something within a singular session that can utterly change how you view your abilities as an artist, and eventually, that thing you sit down to create will be something that could be utterly successful or viral on the internet. As long as you never give up, this will eventually be true. Hans Zimmer, who is clearly regarded as a musically genius composer, didn't even start his career until his 20s, didn't see any real commercial success until his 30s, and probably didn't make anything you would know or recognize until he was into his 40s. It took over two decades of him chipping away at his goals to make a real dent in the world. You will see TH-cam comments and Discord replies to people's art that will make you feel like you could never compete, because you could never get the same response as easily. I'e felt like this for years. But it doesn't matter. Just keep doing what you love and making art. Keep trying, despite what anybody says, and eventually you will find success. No matter what. If you never give up this thing you love doing throughout your entire life, you will. I feel like there's so much more that I would have to say about this but I don't want my comment to get too long. I mostly wanted to encourage a fellow artist who feels like their art might be worthless in comparison to others, because it's exactly what happened to me, and it felt awful. For me, that is a massive part of what makes me who I am, and when it's taken away by comparison to other people, I feel like I have almost nothing left with my value as a human. But you just have to push through and create, and your value will never be taken away in the end. The ability you have now is just a small amount of your potential - they have no idea what you will have the abilities to eventually accomplish. Sorry if that was really long, but I hope you can find some encouragement in what I said.

Great work!
I dont know if you want to hear this or not, but her is my method. One way to make ostinatos sound better is to write an outline and then fill it in. effectively you create a counter point to your melody and then make it more rythmically dense. that way the ear has something to follow without the ostinato becoming monotinous.
I am going to use this as 'credits' music in my long running dnd campaign with some friends, it's ending sometime next month and I can't wait to see the look on their faces as it ends with this beautiful piece playing in the background, thank you for giving me the final piece to my enormous passionate puzzle.
Very surprised to see another young teen composer in impressionism for piano! I've been writing music for a while also in the same style more on ravel then debussy but both are similar in the time period.
