Hello again scotty I remember one trip while fishing for prawns fishing was very good the captain asked us all what we wanted to do, STAY OUT OR GO IN, I said stay out as the fishing was good, the rest of the crew didn't really speak to me much after that, I was also the cook, but when we got home and got paid it was a different attitude from them as they were paid a lot more money for staying out instead as some did go to the pub, they would have spent most of their money on beer, this time they had a lot more and I was thanked by some of them

My brother grabbed a 110 that was grounded to a water pipe under a trailer and couldn't let go till someone kicked him in the leg breaking that circuit, that kick saved him. Back to the point that kind of jolt can stop your heart.
That's still depend on the present situation,,,if all things in ideal situation a 50v and half amp of current can be fatal to our body..

You would think it’d pay to have ALL staff with rubber boots & all switches aboard encased in rubber.
Minimise electric shock of all things on a ship. All commercial fishing ships should be redesigned for if or not fit for voyage - minimise the risk to life in a very dangerous industry.
There should be localised short/fuse cut out box so no one is exposed to electricity unnecessarily.
The placement of the line holders should be considered where there’s least risk from ‘backlash’.
The sides of boats should have a netting so that people have an extra safeguard.
If Walter O’Brien from Scorpion is watching, give me a job. I can think up a number of solutions for helping to minimise all the unnecessary deaths.
The beds should be encapsulated/with padded ceilings and walls. The padding (full of air) would probably come in use if the ship sank anyways. Each ship hand should have a device that can be turned on / accessed remotely if it’s for finding their bodies / checking if someone fell overboard. One device for on the local vessel (a local network), one for long range satellite. And any clothing they wear should emit a scent that deters sharks.
I would redesign fishing boats if I had the support structure.
