Great, detailed, honest review. Getting it all to fit back inside the bag is often one of the biggest challenges, love the expandable bag! Just under 13 minutes to set up is not too bad! I'm still trying to imagine 10 people in there and coming out still liking each other - seems perfect for two! Great video friends, take care! -Jody & Chris
Yes, we agree that it's a decent amount of time to get a tent set up. The instant poles are heavy but they definitely make it go up and down faster. Thanks so much for stopping by!
I love the hinge door on mine. I wish all tents had that feature. I did put on seam sealer, and have camped in 2 nights of rainstorms. And we were all completely dry. Mine isn't the dark room one, but I do love my Coleman! My kids bought it for my Mothers day present about 4 years ago, best gift ever!❤
Yes, I think you want to keep what you put in those pockets light because I (Michelle) only put my glasses in my storage pocket and I didn't have any water issues in mine. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi guys! “I hate all tents” 😂. I think you’ll be upgrading to something on wheels soon 😉 10 person tent?? I’d say a Couples tent lol. Tents have come a long way since we’ve done it! Dark room technology and that door is cool! Nice to see you out there having fun!
Yes, we can't wait to show everyone our new little camper. We have one more trip's worth of videos to edit which we took in the tent and then we'll get to introduce him/her to everyone. Yay!!!
I just got the same tint on Amazon. We set it up in the backyard and it’s gonna work out well for us this spring. I used your technique to tie up my lines. Thank you.
Hello fellow tent campers! Thanks for this review. I never considered a dark room tent because I'm an early riser and didn't think it was necessary but you've listed some good points that make sense for me to consider getting one. We currently use a Coleman 8 person Teneya Lake tent, which has has been great for me, my husband, and our young daughter (three older kids are grown so she was our wonderful surprise later in life and we're soaking up every moment we can with her). Thanks for this channel. Great video. I just subscribed. Y'all take care!
Hi! We're so glad you found us!!! We do enjoy the dark room technology but if you have found a tent that works for your family then that's all that matters. We're so happy that you're taking advantage of this time you have with your daughter. Our sons are mostly grown and don't travel with us so we have switched over from a tent to a tiny camper, which you'll see when you watch some of our newer videos. But we still bring along this tent when they come with us. We really do like it!
@@TakeATripTogether I saw the tiny camper video! I've looked into those Kodiaks. Nice! Hope y'all enjoy. We'll probably end up with a small trailer someday. We've had a 27 ft trailer in the past and it wasn't for us. Hauling was so stressful so we know we want to keep it small. For now it's the tent and my minivan for a sleeping area if in bear country. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
@@fancishmanci Good reminder. Not having to tow anything is definitely less stressful! And lots of amazing memories can be made in a tent. We hope you have a great summer!
Nice tent. I like how dark it gets inside. Thanks for sharing more about your tent. 10 "people" tent, I like how they advertise like that. ha Have a great weekend! ~BigNate
Yes, the dark technology is definitely a good feature in my eyes as well. Ten person tent. Ha ha ha! Yeah, can you imagine!?!? Thanks for stopping by!!!
Thanks for stopping by! Yeah, we really aren't big on tents, either, and resisted using them for years and years. But when it's just the two of us and with this Instant Up Technology, it really isn't too bad. We were pleasantly surprised!
So glad it was helpful for you. That's a good question. Opening and closing the door would be easier for them than with a regular tent door. Securing it might be tricky for them but they would also probably really struggle to open and shut a regular tent door on their own as well. I really came to like the D door because we didn't zip it fully closed unless we were leaving the campsite so it was really convenient.
Also, if it turns out you don't like the D door you could always just leave it zipped closed and use the regular tent door on the opposite side of the tent.
@@TakeATripTogether thank you for your response, im looking at the columbia mammoth tent or the coleman octagon, good reviews but the price is a little higher , happy camping and God bless.

That's so good to hear! Yes, it's amazing what a difference that hinge makes, isn't it?!?
Storage pocket issue is a big deal, so - good to know. Rain packing is a skill you definitely need if you tent camp. Thanks for sharing. (Lila & Ryan)

This is a great review for this tent! Tons of information! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much. We wanted to make this as informative as possible so people could decide whether this tent would be right for them or not.
@@TakeATripTogether y’all did a great job! ☺️
You two seem like you'd be a lot fun... ✌️I camp with my dog

I had no idea dark technology was a thing! Great review!
We didn't know about it before we got this tent, either. It's pretty nifty! I really liked it.
Excellent review. You guys are perfect!
Wow, thanks so much for your kind words. We're glad it was helpful!
Great Video!! I'm with Dennis, I hate all tents too LOL That is really fast setup. It takes us way longer to setup and breakdown.

This is impressive video .

I really enjoyed your review. I have 2 little girls - 5 & 7, How do you think they would handle the D-Door that gives you trouble?

Thanks! We got ours on Amazon. Ours served us well! Have a great camping season!
You review caping
Thanks for watching!
are the seams taped
We're off on an adventure right now but when we get back we can check for you.
UPDATE - We used the tent this past weekend so our sons could travel with us and we didn't see any taped seams.

"Sleeping under the stars" is a lie. If you ever go to bed with the rain fly off, it will rain. Magic.
Ha ha ha! That's definitely true in some parts of the country... But we can always hope!
