Another thing about the sovereign is that if hexed enemies get mind flayed, they still turn into a thrall upon death, with this combo you can stall enemies for a long period of time

notes to add:
- im sorry if the video feels rushed. I haven't got any good time make a good video in the past 10 days
- this video was made in the 1.34 update where the perk got buffed
- the infomation in this video might be misleading or not good enough, this is only simple overview of the perk itself. And not meant to be a guide or tutorial. there is Wiki and Trello cover up for it.
- i have no idea how to actually pronounce thrall lol
what have changed from buff:
- numbers of spectral knives reduced to 3 from 5
- lesser hex will be always full hex (can convert into thrall always when marked)
- bloodletting cost 8 hp instead of 5 hp
- lesser hex only marks enemies but do not convert to thrall when killed
- max stamina increased from 175 to 200
- Decimator is good alternative. Still drop rations after exploding hexxed enemies
it feels more like a nerf because while its more actual support like, the thralls used to be insanely good before the “buff” but i guess it does deserve this change since its a support perk. ballistic dagger also inflicts maximum bleeding
whats the difference between lesser hex and full hex and how do you get both of them
@@kosh514 for me, I treat it as a different way to use it now
Before u gotta just stab everybody and give them the debuff to become a ghost, or just give them minor debuff by just spamming the ability(not really)
Now spamming knives ain't a good idea, the ghosts can't just give debuffs but deaths spread, also they just give the debuff to turn them to ghost
To me I miss the way older version of soveriegn (I think the ghosts got nerfed I'm not sure) but the new version is also not bad.

@@Rap_0687 when an enemy gets hexed, it spawns 3 spectral knives. that means 1 could spread to 3 and 3 to 9.

the new buff is actually really good for clearing off enemies in the base in holdout
Sovereign with the perk "manic" and the weapon maria (abbie if you have the skin) has two shot potential (assuming you have high enough hunger) so its easier to get the boys (Thrall)
decimator works with methodical and its also aoe so can kill multiple enemies while they target the thralls
short versions :
Mindflayer : turn enemies into slaves
Apostle : summon a slave
Sovereign : steal enemies's souls to get slaves

i have been a sovereign main for like 4 weeks now
For me, I like using ballistic dagger for sovereign and just spam q on everybody, not gonna need melee(unless crafting), and can create a horde quite easily.
Before I loved to use soverigen but now I treat it as trash as the ghosts die so quick and is only for distractions. Though it is a nice perk to use.
(Nvm just realized it got buffed I love soverigen again now)
Now after I used it back, I like to use tear gas for it, traits are impatient, manic and fearless
Sovereign my boy! This is one of my favorite perks highkey
Finally a guide an explanation
Decimator is also a really good alternative to Exe sword, the insta kill on most common enemies and aoe capability means you can take out alot of hexxed crowds easily, your massive 200 stamina allows you to utilize the heavy attacks way more as well.
And also, hexxing an enemy in loot phase and killing them with deci heavy attack will still drop rations, which is funny.

Souvenir and mindflay are good combo, a full souvenir mark enemy (enemy like stickler, hidden and Skinner cannot be mindflayed) and than someone mindflay that enemy and they will fight for you and they will become souvenir minnion when they die
And also still drop rations when they die thanks to Sovergein
0:30 they call it lean dagger cuz it has Lean on it
Also Here Is The Traits i Recommend For New Sovereign Players
Trait #1: Impatient (So You Can Dodge Attacks While Stabbing)
Trait #2:Methodical (If You Are Going Offense Just Pick Dependable Instead)
Trait #3: Fearless (If You Run Into a Scav That Has a Gun)
Sovereign just reminds me of just turning people into your simps
The last thing the AK Scav sees at night 7 is 5 Pink Guys with knives coming after them.

Fun fact. Mind flayer and Sovereign together makes apes stronger. Hit a knife on a scav then have a mindflayer flay it and then you got a sledger thats on demon time.

I think this perk is very good in the early waves but in the later waves your thralls can only survive for a few seconds.
