This song had an interesting evolution. It started as "Real Life" which was a combination of 2 unfinished songs called "That's The Way The World Is" and "Baby, Make Love To You." Real Life then split into two different songs, "I'm Stepping Out" (released on Lennon's Milk and Honey album) and "Girls and Boys" (released on the soundtrack to the film Imagine:John Lennon). Finally, John reworked G&B into "Real Love". He was going to record it for Double Fantasy but held it back so there was no band recording of it. (He also held back "Grow Old With Me"). The version of "Real Love" on the DVD to Beatles 1+ is a better remix than the Anthology 2 version. I like "Real Love" better than "Free As a Bird". You may not want to review the whole 3 volumes of Anthology, but there are some songs that were never released officially before.
