The first time I've ever been let down by the Crew :'( how guys? Why? I'm not mad, I'm just, well I'm just disappointed.
Sam is just a big salty crybaby. I respect him as a filmmaker, but holy shit don't get this guy in a game where he's gonna get all competitive. I would personally find the fun ruined (I'm unfortunately a bit like that as well, but it's something I am trying hard to fix).

Do another Guess That Movie video, but do it in a way where we (the viewers) can play along as well.
1.) Have better audio quality clips of the movies.
2.) Don't reveal the movie clip/title until one of the Crew guesses it.
3.) You could even do a 1-2 second video clip of the movie as well, or an obscure photo of the movie and have the Crew guess it.

A live-action RPG fight between a healer + melee pair and a mage/wizard, where the gag is that the melee character is simply trying to reach the wizard but is constantly being frozen, poisoned, burned, healed, petrified, turned into a chicken etc and can do nothing about it whilst this cleric and wizard try to win the fight by healing/killing the melee unit and never just targetting each other

For sure more of this. Sci-fi movies or a genre of movies. Tie in with the atom Cruise Challenge and do all movies of one actor (such as Thomas Cruise). These competitions are really fun and make me want to replicate it with my buddies.
My fiancee and I watched this together, playing with our eyes closed. I got Jurassic Park, Tropic Thunder, Jumanji, Dumb and Dumber, Step Brothers, Life of Brian, Blade, Good Will Hunting, Dragonheart, Neverending Story, and Gangs of New York.
She just looked at me and said "How the hell do you know all of these!?"
I replied, "Eh...I um, I was an only child?"
She said "Some of these have come out since we've been together."
Me: "Well...you probably would have guessed them too if you looked at the movie instead of your phone when we watched them."
I kinda regret saying that last one. She hasn't spoken to me in 6 hours.

It's too hard to hear the audio for the viewers, and showing it before they guess it makes it impossible to play along at home. Just some constructive criticism if you do this again, people watching probably clicked because they wanted to play too and that's not really possible.
I simply didn't look at the phone. But yeah, it's quite difficult to hear what they're saying.
Other people prefer seeing the answer while they play. They can't please everyone
and then there are people from different countries who have no chance to play along because they never saw the movie in english and dont even know the english title.
So not showing the movie at all isnt that good either.
You could just easily have a small window with the scene and name of the movie, which people can cover up if they want to play along

@@The1RealDarek I always try to See the Original if I Speak that language. But in germany for example are rarely any showings in english in cinemas. And usually the only cinemas that Show movies in original are the Jones that Show artsy french movies. I mean I have been there but they arent even showing the good french movies.
So, nearly two years later I am watching this for the first time, and I enjoyed this so much. It is so interesting to see how people with a shared love of cinematography special effects have such a diverse range of movie preferences (something that is obvious in the knowledge, and sometimes gaps in knowledge). I think you could make this a regular segment, and generate a theme for each challenge. One could be about the music (so try to play the score), or you could even take a segment of the images to display (such as showing the image pixelated, and slowly reduce the pixelation to reveal the image). Maybe do things like find the debut film role for actors (particularly if they started as child actors but didn't reach fame until adulthood). So many ways to mix it up!

I’m AMAZED that no one knew Life of Brian. For some reason I always thought it was one of those classic movie buff films.
How do you not know the Life of Brian. Time for them to do a Monty Python Marathon! For "Movie" makers you need to see more classic movies.
For sure need to do that again with like season specific categories, I.E Halloween thru to thanksgiving and Christmas!

I really liked this whole movie guessing tournament and hope you do more soon. I like Jake's ideas of categories but please do some newer movies as the audience has a lot of younger viewers who want to play along and have never heard of many of those movies.
I yelled "GOOD WILL HUNTING!!" out loud on the train with my headphones in and I'm pretty sure everyone thought I was having some sort of episode. But at least I was right.

I got surprised they didnt know 'A Scent of a Woman', it is a typically rewatchable classic with Al Pacino. Btw the guy on the left kinda figured it out: Al Pacino plays a blind guy just not a lawyer... but the scene might have reminded him of a courtroom speech.

That was amazing, but it would be cool if you played only the clips first (without showing the answer) to give the audience a chance to play along, and then show the crew's attempts at guessing the answer. Super fun concept for a game though!
