Hey Jeremy! It hit close to home when you said this was serving as a form of therapy for you when things get tough in your life. Music has always helped me out and your channel has definitely lightened the load on my mind over the last few years. Thanks for the consistently awesome content and I hope things improve for you. Hang in there! Love from Canada
Put me in that camp. If it wasn't for being able to create some beauty, similar to these artists; I would probably have destruction in my life. Thanks for the inspiration guys. ~~~
I can also relate. I am a single dad with Autistic twins. I have a channel also but it’s been kind of dead for a few years as depression and fatherhood took its toll on me. I’m doing better now and coming back to making music as I remember how it use to make me feel(good) and how much of an escape it was. I hope everyone who sees this video or even this comment that may be suffering in some way now knows that whatever they are going through, they’re not alone. As a community, as good stewards of the human race and as sufferers ourselves, let us be beacons to those in the storm.
Jeremy !!! thx for all the work goes into your channel. I hope things are better/clearer now. 8-Bit Heart, Jeremy, popov, Ben , cuezzlreekaa, hugs all around if you choose so. I feel you all, even though its months later. I have had my mininova in a bag packed away, always finding excuses not to get musically/tonally creative. Too weak I have felt, even though it would have surely helped! Yesterday I felt daring enough to spend the most amount spent on anything in a long time on a digitone. Some life got back into me doing that, spending that much just on pleasure isn't an easy thing, especially in these (epidemic) times, Yet as we have that luxury, we shall never forget to go through hard-ache, as there will be another day where a key press, a knob twist makes us shiver. Keep going ... we will all smile and laugh out loud soon again. Keep noodling, keep twiddling - often! "Without music, life would be a mistake." Friedrich Nietzsche.
Great video, as always, and sorry to hear you’re going through a rough time, As a therapist in real life (whatever the hell that is), there’s been many a time I’ve recommended creating music or art to clients, and I’ve been known to dive into our creative studio myself when life gets crazy. So, I totally believe in the therapeutic value of music and creation, and props again to you for turning your pain into something valuable to so many of us.

My synths remain the best therapy ever. Sound design wipes away depression, and especially anxiety--focusing on a specific task can free the mind, you know? . :) Elektron truly nailed it with this and the Digitakt, finding that sweet spot between complexity, and ease of use.
Thanks - this video was literally exactly what I needed right now, it's so chill watching you fiddle with things and make neat sounds, like a hug of synthesisery goodness when you need to take a moment out from stressing over everything, need to make some time to sit with the Push for a bit and make some noises myself - hope you're doing alright as well
Thanks Jeremy, now I can't afford my rent this month. Seriously though, great demonstration of digitone. Definitely going to have to pick this up very soon.
I normally dislike talking during "reviews" but you are sharp and cool and you talk while you are tweeting shit on the item and then you do not talk while you let us here the sound....Hat off to you brotha and Cheers I just subscribed to you off just this video
We all need some music therapy right now with this pathetic crazy time, me included being a full time carer for an 88 year old with disabilities & my own problems to deal with, this table top synth will make you forget your worries & have musical therapy and lots of fun! Not to mention other superb bits of kit from Electron like the brilliant Electron table top synths, the Digitakt, Analog heat, Analog Four MK2, Octatrack Mk2, the Akai One, Akai Force, & many more fantastic Synths out there, I can't wait till I've saved up enough to treat myself to something like the Digitone! Have fun guys.
TX Bass is nice on this thing. Also using the arp with percussion is great because you can change the multiplier and have it act as a retrigger. Triplets!
I had idea about control all. I used that on the DT all the time. Wow. Also, I love the click keys too but kind of want to stuff the empty space with foam or something to make it not reverb like a snare. Ya know, it sounds hollow?
Sorry to hear your life is in shambles, but I'm hoping things will turn around for you. Been watching videos as I'm trying to decide between a 'tone and an 0-Coast. Still not any clearer on which one I want more, but thanks for your intro run through. Illustrated nicely how easy it is to get sweet FM sounds.
I have the digitakt for almost a year, like you i don't spend enough time with it, thank you for this great video, makes me want to dust off my digitakt. How do your dog and pizza-eating-cat belong together? Take care.
i have a minilogue and monologue , and want to build beats and soundscapes for my music. Would digitone be a good choice or if not could you recommend one?
I love thoses korg synths If you like synth, this could be a cool add and different style (fm) with limited drum sounds... if you just need drum... try a digitakt then you’ll get a digitone.
Maximilian L prepare for both sooner or later:)) and after you have them, you’ll be lusting for the Heat, because... black square-y boxes with blinking lights - gotta have them all!!
I bought a Digitakt, then sold it and bought a Digitone, then bought another Digitakt, then sold the Digitone.. Now want another Digitone.. it never ends.. They are both keepers, you can spend years mastering them and they are capable of any kind of music styles. My favourite 'grooveboxes'

Honestly you make the best synth videos on TH-cam. I really enjoy them. Keep it up, you are generating happiness.
Completely agree!
I almost never make it all the way through your videos because I get too inspired and start to make my own music. I think that's a good thing.
oh i agree

😍 so much digi, so much tone.
This is therapy!
Thank you so much for these videos. Recently got my Digitone and your tutorials have been some of the best at helping me understand it!
With the Digitone, you can catch sonic glimpses of the Depeche Mode SGR/Black Celebration era when they got a pair of DX7's.
Totally. For years I wondered why they used dx’s when they had Obx Jp8 Syrinx and arp2600s...now I get it.
Love this video series! Finally, a tutorial by someone making music I actually like, thank you!
Nicely done Jeremy. Lots of flavour in the song.
I love this format. one patch and then a jam at the end with that patch. feel better, Jeremy, hope this elektronshock therapy works!
You just kill it every time! And, Digitone is one of my favorite synths.
Currently my favorite synth. Makes unbelievably beautiful sounds, and they are endless.
Great video. Love this little box, hope there’s more videos like this in the works.
Wonderful, I'd love to hear some more chillout tunes by you. Thanks for this video.
YES! More Digitone vids, please!
The meat hands did a thing and I liked the video.

Getting some Dark Tranquillity vibes at the start. Weird but a good association!
I do love it when a puppy gets tuckered
That outro jam... Damn son!
Damn just twisting random knobs on a present sound bank lol. Fire.
I love this beautiful machine and I really love your videos !
i want this baaaaaaad! love your content! keep it up !!!!!
This is beautiful. That headphone adapter is giving me anxiety though.
Interesting! Enjoyed very much, thanks!
Loved it. Stay strong buddy.
Your hands are so clean oh my lord
Sooo good! You make me wanna dish out a live take Digitone only album. Love that little box!
thank you!
Things will be better!

Oh good tip
Nice demo. I Can’t wait to use that control all function. 👍
Excellent.. Thank you..
digitoné is awesome and i will never be able to think of it without marinara or vodka sauce
Must resist watching this video. I can't afford being sold on another expensive toy that I NEED.
Shambles is fine. Everyone is in shambles. Shambles are my bailiwick.
Oh yes. Give us some more digitone stuff, dude.
every time i watch these videos i go "I WANT THAT!" but then i realize my stuff won't sound like this :(
Hi Jeremy. Excellent MeatTubing … er … you know what I mean. Always excellent and fun content. Be well! 🤓
FM=For Me synthesis.
Boy do i love me a tuckered puppy.....
I know it's probably not as good as a standalone groove box I want this more than an op-z to be honest. The Digitone looks so sweet. I'm jelly.
Man I really want a Digitone now!

Also, I love the click keys too but kind of want to stuff the empty space with foam or something to make it not reverb like a snare. Ya know, it sounds hollow?
great video RMR! I got an OP-1 because of you and thank GOD I already have this so I dont have to continue damaging mah wallet!
Thank you.
Oh dude.. I need a tone for my Takt.. This sounds are so inspiring! Cute dog btw. What's his/her name? Great vid as always! Keep it up!
I hope we get several vids on this kind of in the same vein as you did with the OPz
there are 5 in total
@@RedMeansRecording that's excellent 👍 it's a great machine.

hugely different animals, but i think you'll make more music with the digitone
Digitone is amazing, but so is the 0coast with some guitar pedals 👌
DOGITONI
Any chance you can make a Model Samples video?
I feel like I’m watching some planet earth stuff.
I bought mine for therapy as well better than a shrink
My favourite Handyoutuber is back.
yes. Also i need b o x
I had to sell mine, but no other synth has inspired me like the digitone did.
Niceness !
Your life is in shambles? Sorry to hear that :(
When I use the three send effects they seem to work only about half the time. Is the signal chain really complex? I can’t figure it out
I have the digitakt for almost a year, like you i don't spend enough time with it, thank you for this great video, makes me want to dust off my digitakt.
How do your dog and pizza-eating-cat belong together?
Take care.
Overall for just playing around, with a bit of experience with sequencers and synthesizers, would you get an op-z or a digitone
erf, that's really hard to say. i guess op-z, since it's portable and can play samples as well. i also like the sequencer on the op-z better.
Should I get this or the model cycles? I really like the price of the cycles but maybe the digitone is better in the long run...
This
15:42 lol :D
Elektron Samples vid next?
dont have one :( hope to get back to the digitakt soon.
i have a minilogue and monologue , and want to build beats and soundscapes for my music. Would digitone be a good choice or if not could you recommend one?

aren't algorithms supposed to be just browsed through until things sound good?-)
actually, yes. 100%
filters? never heard of em.
Ecco the dolphin..
You ok?
What audio interface do you recommend to a guy who has never bought one before.
Yeah, the Digitone can stream audio over usb with it's newest patch. It will also get full support soon for Over bridge 2.0
CNTRL ALL ... YEAH
It's never as bad as it seems. It's always impossible to see that.
"didgeridoo" *flashbacks*
Digitone or Digitakt? That is the question...

Pretty
for some reason those really punchy bass sounds give me a headache, which i hate because i really like how they sound :C

It lacks so much richness, and Elektron's things all sound awfully CHEAP! It forces a necessity to buy the Analog Heat.
Oop. That chorus is sweetly rich
