So true, I really want more Vivy but the show wrapped up so nicely that we can’t get a continuation,unless it’s something completely different like Vivy actually being just an idol for example

nope this is new staff members for wit that are talented and some who are able to make fight scenes almost sakuga like the famous animators we know.
and spearheaded by its action director takuma ebisu is well known for most of wits fight scenes aside from arifumi and ebara.
most of wits best aninators or planning is on the upcoming netflix show and ousama ranking 😁

This wasn't a side project. This was their main. They dropped AOT for this, and it was absolutely worth it.

Vivy is a masterpiece. Incredible writing and animation that goes beyond limit. It manage to strike balance between writing, character development, action and music. truly a gem

@@Crazycoyote-we7ey I haven't finished Re:Zero, the characters including the protagonist are not mature enough like Vivy, and its a too plot driven storytelling, not character driven. Vivy manage to strike balance between plot and character's drive in its storytelling. Should I finished it? what do you think? I'm only halfway through.

As someone who only watches anime on a whim, This one immediately took my full interest on the first episode. I had to constantly debate on whether I should wait for every episode every week or binge it once finished. Had to give myself up to the weekly pleasure of enjoying one episode per week and I don't even regret it.
Same, I was planning to watch 3 eps a day, but I ended up binge-watching it 2 days. The soundtrack is great, art and animation are mesmerising. They did an amazing job!

There were several shots in the show's OP that always stood out to me, and I was disappointed not to see them in the actual series. It's great to find that many of them originated in this pilot.

Manga is better for story
@@realanimeir3173 Can't argue with that, but you have to also look at it from another perspective. Nowadays, 99% of Manga is all about making stories that will sell best, so they look at what the audience like and write to their liking. While this is good to a point, it will also result in lack of creativity and uniqueness. Original Anime are always a work of passion; they fail must of the times, BUT when they succeed they become Era defining Shows. For examples just look at Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Code Geass. Are these not proof enough that Original Anime are needed to elevate revitalize the Medium of Anime whenever it become generic and repetitive? I believe it is.
@@realanimeir3173 it depends, Wit can create better original story than adapt from manga. with Kinema Citrus or Mappa better is if they keep adapt manga bc they didn't made great original story

So cool to see the pilot, the show was amazing! Just wish we knew how or why Yugo was important enough to receive technology and information from the an unknown future source.
It was the Archive; it exploited Yugo's effed up emotional state to manipulate him into doing its bidding.
Tbf they can make an another timeline ova where yugo in the tv series recieved the info about SP, how to beome cyborg and that "future virus " from this pilot movie yugo. Also i just want more vivy in general lol

What a godly series,haven’t felt this excited from a seasonal anime and missed it that much in a while. That’s one anime that is going to be in my heart for as long as I live

本当に本当に素晴らしいアニメーションをありがとうございました。アニメーションとしての見どころはいっぱいありますが、個人的には0:40～のような(本編では2話での)アニメ史に残るような疾走シーンの美しさに心を奪われました。
公開するつもりなかった映像でこんなにしっかり作ってるのを考えると、どれだけ丁寧に時間をかけて作ってるのかわかるな
Anything written by Tappei (Creator of Re:Zero) is an automatic masterpiece. Wit killed it with the entire production of this anime as well.

Dear WIT studio, I would like to give you guys my sincere gratitude for gracing the world with your work of art, Vivy. I've watched a decent amount of master-class anime, and I think that Vivy deserves a spot with the all-time greats, cheers!💖💖
This is legitimately the best all round art/animation show I think I've ever seen. The team behind the visuals knocked it out of the park. Everything feels like it has depth and intense detail, and yet the animation, especially during the action is insane. I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoy large sweeping camera angles during intense fast paced action in shows. I can get past the stock black screen/flat background fights, but this show has none of those, and it really shows that wit studio really was on another level with this one. Hell I'd even put it above pretty much the entire madhouse lineup for sheer talent behind the art and animation teams.
Bravo.
As for the story, (which is great, don't get me wrong) it felt like it could use twice the amount of episodes. The pacing felt all wrong at times and really didn't suit the 100 year timeline. Not to mention the part in the beginning where it just blatantly skips over really important information just to show the plane crash and vivy fighting with matsumodo directly from a completely unrelated scene. Thankfully that's the only, and most egregious incongruence though.
@Regis Landere thats wit's style i've watched a couple of anime from them and the quality definitely changes when a fight scene comes or when something must be emphasized. There are few animation studios who are very consistent with their animation. Still props to wit making vivy beautiful (anime-wise)

@@jestemniewazny7295 studio wit tends to make some increadybly good fichting scenes just to follow up wit some horrible CGI. basicly they go all or nothing. You can see this pretty well with attack on titan with some of the scenes with the CGI colosoasal titan that looks horrible where its followd up with a 11 out of 10 levi scene.
I actually enjoyed noticing how the show makers seemed to "budget" things out. Doing fairly simple, basic animation in the set up episodes, to then go full out in the following episodes with lavish and gorgeous art sequences. Full respect to them for knowing when to go cheap, so they could splurge when it was deserved.
I would love an OVA that looked more into Vivy’s life as a idol
Imagine it's like, structured in three parts: first her time at the theme park, then her life as Diva during Ep7-9, then it ends with a depressing bookend of her twilight years in the museum.

I almost forgot how ridiculously good the fight scenes were in this anime. Definitely needs a rewatch in the future.
I always wondered why there was a clip where Vivi had a school girl uniform on in the opening because I knew it wasn't in the show, that's neat putting a little bit of the pilot into the opening

The running animation is my favourite part out of everything. Its one of the best running animations i have seen. I can feel how fast shes going.

ah vivy, 7 months ago, finally broke the camels back after being stubborn of not trying to watch anime, ive binged so much shows since then. Even though you have probably been surpassed on my list. I will never forget getting my jaws dropped for 5 hours straight, and being a broken by the end of it. Truly one of the greats.
This show was amazing from animation to character design, from music to voice actors, from story direction to plot. Amazing is word less to define it. Looking for season 2 soon

One of the best anime originals with little recognition in 2021 alongside Odd Taxi. Passing AOT Season 4 is probably the best decision the studio has made imo

I can’t believe this Anime has a 13 episodes yet one piece and Detective Conan (Cased closed) has almost a 1000 episodes what a shame Vivy deserves at least 5 seasons if not 10 Plus a whole Movie. 😭
Stretching the plot too long wouldn't be a good idea
It works for one piece cause its main goal can be achieved after how many episodes they want and conan doesn't have a big centralised plot

@@_tsuki_ i agree but there is no harm if they viewed the story from another point like in “Steins gate” or if you watched “Higurashi: when they cry” both of them having more than one point for the same subject you can choose and love each point and unveils more plots and twists that was hidden from the first time … another example is the Terminator 1 and 2 the second one is a continuation and more elaborated explaining more and more which made us love it
@Owen Shapiro there is no harm to stretch it a little more you know it a 100 years journey shortened into 20 mins episodes for a total of 13 they can make it at least 5 seasons its an original anime not a manga adaptation so there is no limit nor line to it as long as an imagination and creativity exists.

I remember Vivy dropped when I was watching Invincible...I dropped the cartoon in exchange of Vivy. Never regretted it and I would always watch Vivy and sing along with her songs.

Nah, I think this is enough. The show closed with a perfect ending. Anything more has a dangerously high chance of ruining this show. Ever saw Frozen 2? I haven't but I hear it's absolute shit. Dunno if you saw shokugeki no souma/Food wars but apparently the 5th season ruined the show when the ending on the 4th season was a perfect closing. So, no sir, I think it's best to not have another season. Perhaps an OVA or a movie to show us the aftermath with a bit more detail but no way in hell should this get a season 2.

One of the most criminally underrated animes ever made
ワンカットずつ考察ができて楽しい。本編だとステージ衣装（白）を着る頃には部屋がマンションっぽくなっていますが、パイロットムービーでは屋根裏部屋のまま。となると時期的には正史で博物館へ異動になる前のタイミングかも。あと唯一、ヴィヴィがお尻を振って歩く後姿が拝めるけど、衣装の重さが負担になるくらいボディーが消耗していた、かも？

I am watching this anime, it is awesome, a lot better than what Nier did with its story, at first I thought this is going to be another slow japanese sci fi anime but then Matsumoto the bear and Vivy they just started shinning, I love this studio, I hope you are not fused with Mappa at full, your works are awesome.

This animation, the fights, the choreography, the camera positioning, slow motion... Omfg what EVEN is this? Only 2 minutes and I am amazed by what was accomplished
