I'm amazed at how many people seem to know the Mii Channel theme! Throughout the week, when friends of mine have asked which cover / remix I'll be doing this week, they've been able to hum or sing the Mii Channel theme back to me. It's really strange to me that the Mii Channel theme is this ubiquitous... but it's not so strange when you listen to it. It's catchy as heck! I really hope you enjoy the grooves I superimposed in this Mii Channel remix, and I hope you enjoy the saxophone solos! I brought in Gabe and Chris, who both did a great job with their parts.
If you were wondering... yes, some of the changes are from Chick Corea's "Spain". What a fantastic composition.

I played this at my pub trivia last night (for nintendo's 130th birthday) and had people begging me for the name of the "jazz piece". One guy thought it was Michael Brecker. They were shook when I told them it was the mii channel theme.

His covers are more like songs instead of themes. Where a theme is supposed to be looped, a song is not. While a theme is more nice in a videogame because it needs to be looped in a good game, a song is most often more nice to listen to while not playing the game.
I don't know if these are the proper definitions of a song and a theme, but you understand what I mean. :)

I remember when I was looking up Wii memes, and stumbled upon this channel. By far one of my biggest examples of searching for copper, and striking gold. This has to be one of my favorite music channels of all time, and is pretty much the main reason I got into jazz. Thank you, and keep up the S tier work!

I think what makes a great cover is the ability to take someome else's work and breath your own life into it while honoring what it was. Bad covers either make it too different without showing due honor, or they simply try to do the same thing the creator did, and it comes off disingenuous. I say that to explain exactly what I mean when I say that this is up there in the greatest covers I've ever heard. You've taken an iconic song and elevated it to excellence while showing deep respect to the original playfulness of the song. You are extraordinarily talented, and I wish you the best.
