@tourick, I'm very said that that I missed your concert in Aya Sofya/Hagia Sophia with Ara Dinkjian. But I will catch you sometime, somewhere in the world to enjoy your "heart touching" songs ... With love ... :) faruk
@charremb I doubt about this. Our ancestors were enslaved by the Turks for 400 years at least. They were not friends at all. Now we may want to be "friends", but we can't forget our past.
i would like to buy instrument that he plays on.. Lira? Lyre? anyone knows where could i buy it? i would be EXTREMELY grateful for any tips! many warm greetings!!!
The instrument is called a lyra, there are two very known versions in Turkey: the pontiaki- and the kritiki-lyra. The lyra played here is a kritiki version. Because the Ottoman court has adapted to the regional culture, these instruments became part of it and they've got the name kemençe in Turkish. The pontiaki lyra is mainly known as kemençe and the kritiki lyra is mainly known as klâsik kemençe.
@@umitdolap1733 Not quite. This is not kritiki (Cretan) lyra, it is politiki. Both are variants of the sme basic type of instrument, the pear-shaped lyra. There are many more variants, but pontiaki is not one of them. In Greek the name λύρα is used for both (pear-shaped and pontiaki), as is in Turkish the word kemençe (klasik kemençe = πολίτικη λύρα, karadeniz kemençesi = ποντιακή λύρα), but this is only due to some superficial similarities. Actually they are fundamentally different instruments.
@@kabouktli Thank you for this info. I just searched for the kritiki and the sound is different from the politiki. The instrument is wider and the sound is more like a violin compared to the politiki. Are there more versions of lyra?
Sabrinabelg1988 I really appreciate your message, but as you can see there are some people even music cant melt their heart and make them have human feelings, they just swear at everything, they are pathetic...

Mesut Cemil'in Nihavent Saz Semaisi. Zaten Socratis Sinopoulos'da çok iyi bir klasik kemençe yorumcusudur. Kimse de onun bestesi olduğunu iddia etmemiştir.
