My desert island ink. Absolutely superb. My favorite ink used to be HOD, and I still use it in very dry pens, but I prefer Kiwa-Guro. That velvety feel is wonderful, it works great on cheap paper, it's permanent, it's an all-star.
Do you worry that it's not permanent enough, or are you worrying that it'll damage your pens? If it's the latter, then I can tell you that I've had it in a clear demonstrator for a couple of years straight (many fills, and a couple of cleanings) without any staining at all.
Thank you for the reply Mike. I worry about it getting on my shirt, slacks or hands, i trust it will eventually wash off one's hands, but clothes! I gues one should just be careful fillling up. I like blue-blacks but found Sailor's an average blue-black ink. I must give it another try is a wetter pen.
I'd be more worried about my clothes or spilling it on the desk with other papers. I am happy to have the ink in my pens, I have no concern about any damage being done as the ink itself is safe in the pen.

Yep. It's still a go-to for me. It's always in at least one pen.
@@inkdependence I'm a recent convert to Japanese inks. ...that smoothness.
Sailor put phenol in their inks to prevent mould! Now you know :)
I use it on tomoe river and it sheens the color of pencil, really lovely :O
Bought the ink in 2013, I must start to use it. It looks a really good ink. I do worry about the permanent nature of it!

Oh, yeah. It'll stain fabrics and stuff. Probably forever, though I don't know for sure.
I agree it would be forcer! But it will be soon in my rotation!
