Molly Mooney from my perspective I think she calls him dad because he’s still around per say and he’s still “part” of her life(not that Lucy isn’t), whereas her mum Lucy she has probably no recollection of her being in her life at all so it might just be harder for her? Probably depend on where you grew up. I heard it wasn't that surprising back then in poor, run down areas. There was a stark lack of caring about these girls from parents/authorities which is so sad.
