1983 = THE year of Bowie. Simple as that. Nobody came close that year. I know, I know his masterpiece albums were released in the '70s, but his peak of mainstream hysteria was 1983.
Did you forget about Michael Jackson…? 1983 was the year he took off to beyond superstardom. Bowie and Boy George were easily the next biggest names behind him though.
@@juanchohitdalotto If you think about current popular artists, they all receive the same attention, even if one is above the other, whether by a little or a lot, obviously in 1983, Bowie was obviously a god in that year, years ending in 3 are good for him.

Fantastic concert! I was only 18. I went to O'Leary high school with the girl being carried out, hilarious to see her in this. I loved "I've been waiting to see Bowie since '75". Makes me feel so old I tell ya' ha
that guy that said he’d kill to see bowie, i feel you. i never got to see him live once and that’s my biggest regret, even though i was only born in 2003
I was working in Lake Louise back then and took two days off to go up to Edmonton for this show. I'd been apart from my girlfriend for two months, and we finally got reunited again that day. We were standing about two dozen people back from center. What a day. What a decade. Great memories.
Drove 3 hours from Calgary, all acts were great. The Tubes, Peter Gabriel then Bowie.
