It is an annual Chinese music competition between famous and established professional singers where the audience phones in to determine the winner after each episode. The audience is the same throughout the entire show, 500 with musical backgrounds and they judge the show by points each week. The competition consisted of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. This was the sixth episode of the competition, and Dimash. He had been invited as a wildcard and was the first foreigner and youngest person to ever compete in the show. After his very first performance of S.O.S., he became a superstar in China overnight. His Chinese competitors called him their "little imported brother." The other already well-known contestants were in absolute awe of him and joked that they might as well go home. His ability to project emotion is literally like a force of nature - like a tsunami that rolls over you and drags you with him on a journey. I would highly recommend some of his native Kazakh songs - his culture and heritage is a very important part of who he is as a person and he always takes every opportunity to show his native music to the world. There are so many stunning pieces we would never heard of if not for him - Daididau (a poem turned into a folk song), Qaragym Ai (a tribute to his mentor he lost to Covid), Samaltau (composed by a unknown solder in WWI), Qairan Elim... there are so many.
Adagio is an instrumental work whose authorship is assigned to Albinoni, a famous Italian Baroque composer, to which they have now written lyrics. This is the version of the famous Lara Fabian. There are others like Dyango and Manolo Otero in Spanish.

When she heard Dimash sing her song, she collaborated with Igor Krutoy to compose the song "Your Love" for Dimash. As a matter of fact, Igor attended the concert where Dimash sang "Sinful Passion". There is the EIGHTH MIRACLE OF THE WORLD, which has not existed since ancient times!

His ability to project emotion is literally like a force of nature - like a tsunami that rolls over you and drags you with him on a journey. I would highly recommend some of his native Kazakh songs - his culture and heritage is a very important part of who he is as a person and he always takes every opportunity to show his native music to the world. There are so many stunning pieces we would never heard of if not for him - Daididau (a poem turned into a folk song), Qaragym Ai (a tribute to his mentor he lost to Covid), Samaltau (composed by a unknown solder in WWI), Qairan Elim... there are so many.
I find myself holding my breath as he sings...

Adagio written & performed by the fabulous - the incomparable - the Best singer /songwriter; Lara Fabian. Dimash acknowledges her as a very big role model of his during his vocal studies & they have more recently performed together. - with Igor Krutoy - who is also a great admirer of Lara.
If you haven't discovered Lara yet - well... You'd better catch up! She's also incredible. I suggest 'Je Suis Malade' & 'Caruso' to start with. Strap in!

This is a cover of a song by Lara Fabian, a French songstress, who is also a fantastic vocalist. When she heard Dimash sing her song, she collaborated with Igor Krutoy to compose the song "Your Love" for Dimash. As a matter of fact, Igor attended the concert where Dimash sang "Sinful Passion". He was a retired billionaire composer and after hearing Dimash, approached him and his father and asked if they would allow him to compose music strictly for Dimash. I saw that you reacted to Unforgettable Day at Gakku. I prefer the way he sang it on "The Singer 2017. Check it out, he was beyond amazing and he wrote that sang when he was 19 yrs. old.
