I actually thought same question as you have, now i agree with your opinion I wish you could make more discussion video! This series are so useful for every magician from beginner to expert
I would love to get back in to "doing magic"! I always enjoyed the look on people's faces when they witness a great "trick". Thanks for all you do, Markobi ! You make the world smile
Very wise! I was frustrated for quite a while because I could not do many of the cards manipulations in certain magic tricks I like. I have very dry hands and fingers and could never grab the cards effectively to do those tricks. I had to realized that this was a limitation I would probably never overcome. Thanks!!
I agree that advances in technicality should only be made these ways too Markobi. No matter how hard the move, technique still serves the trick, and it's our individual visions which shape how that trick looks, and what moves it requires us to practice. Because of this I'll always prefer a beginner performing well over a personal showcase of sleights. I see many magicians that need to remind themselves that a good trick can be done with little skill. Great magic however, is done with great skill. How we get there is definitely subjective which often times can be explored if we stop to think what we want to see.
He's SO good I'm suss of every move. I kept my eyes on the cards the entire time. His manner of "taking off the edge" by pretending to be clumsy is brilliant. The only person better at card control is Richard Turner and he's just got superhuman gifts.
I have no interest in learning to do magic. but when a guy of his level of achievement speaks of the applications of effective practice, and selecting goals, I'm going to listen.
Thank you Markobi for this. I have like magic for decades, practiced for years for different moves, but never was a magician in any means and almost never performed anything because "i am not good enough" 🙈 actually made some tricks for couple girls i like and it was awesome to make those moments of wonder, even thou almost never performed anymore, just few times more. it is all about fun and awe moments, so just fkin do it.
Sorry I'm late to the comment section... I guess I am not perfect unlike you Sir Markobi. I am on vacation right now in Vietnam , I'm in a small village we don't have good reception here. again I'm sorry for the inconvenience. My GOD you are sooo GOOD , you are GOLD never CHANGE, thanks for sharing your thoughts it is always a pleasure to listen to one of your videos , very entertaining and you are so intelligent. PS : I'm your biggest fan
There's a saying in English, Markobi, "Practice makes perfect" Or "You're not going to get any better just by reading from books". Like you say, even if it's monotonous, even if you have to do the same trick for 60k hours, you'll eventually get there, and will be as you say in French, numero uno.
i wonder is spending 10,000 hours practicing dealing cards from the middle of the deck just so i can brag to my friends about it and never actually using it in a performance a good reason
Your Magic makes me understand much better my ex. She desepered like your carts. Show me how to get her back please. I have 50000$ on my account, i can give it all to you. Just help me bring back Jason please. I love him. He left me like shit.
In this video you prove that a paper dictionary can be faster than an online dictionary, thank you for this demonstration!
That's to unbelievable to be true. I think he use a forcing dictionnary where there is only one entry written thousand times.
Do we continue discuss later ?
Absolutely, keep it going 👍🏽
oui oui oui
Oui
yes! and i'm not even a magician...
you r great sir🙏🏻
Love the way you flipped the card, bounced it off the table and into the deck in a really smooth way.
Honestly this is the best way for anyone working at anything
Absolutely

Incredibly insightful. You are, by far, the best card magician/mechanic out there in the universe.
This is excellent advice. Good video
