I’ve been scouring the internet for a guide to this sewing machine and this answers all my questions thank you so much, also you’ve probably figured it out by now but the the little piece you thought you were missing, it pulls up so just pull on it and goes to full size
Great video. I am wondering if you figured out the tension with the thread mine is breaking the thread constantly. New thread and lowered the tension but does not help
I just found this machine today at an estate sale, and it was very very dirty. As I was removing the parts to clean it, the thread guide/bobbin disc won’t screw back on. I as so upset as I was ready to test sew on it. Any idea why there is just a hold in the machine and why the hole is not threaded. Thanks

I just downloaded a manual to this sewing machine... So it is out there now a days..
Pull the metal up. It extends to hold the thread 😊

You need to pull the piece of metal the thread is on, up in the air a couple of inches so that the thread does not fall off.
You have to pull up that little piece where the thread sits

You did not follow the directions properly for winding the bobbin. It’s right in front of where you said to put the thread around the “button”.
