- Without further ado… Welcome to our third instalment of Through The Keyhole - Design Tour with Melissa Bonney from The Designory!
We’re taking you through another very special project, the Barefoot Bay Villa. Yes, it’s the big sister to our last tour the Barefoot Bay Cottage!
This is another project we designed, this time from the ground up and seeing it 5years later it’s just as wonderful as when it was completed.
Located in Byron Bay, the Barefoot Bay Villa is a holiday home for all your family and friends to enjoy together and has been designed for entertainment, relaxation and connection.
This home is filled with colour, whimsy, and all the designer details that makes your stay unforgettable.
Designed by The Designory this wonderful beach house sleeps up to 14 people within 5 bedrooms (one of them a gorgeous bunk room for the kids), 4.5 bathrooms and laundry. Designed for entertainment the home also accommodates 2 indoor lounging areas, a dining room and a huge 12-seater covered outdoor dining and lounging space surrounded by gorgeous tropical gardens PLUS a natural pool.
Only moments to the beach and town this character filled contemporary home is perfect for friends and family to enjoy all year round.

Wow! This property is stunning! Anyone would be lucky to visit for a little while, let alone live there. So many beautiful details and so well thought out. I don’t think it could get more perfect after looking at the listing, the location is incredible. So close to the beach but also looking out onto the nature reserve, it feels secluded and luxurious. Very nice! The bathroom blind is clever but I am surprised that it's black. I think I'd shower and steam the glass enough so the neighbours can't see while still enjoying natural light haha
