All art in this episode is inspired by and referenced off of the work of Allyson and Alex Grey. Below are listed the original works listed for each scene. These images and animations are our personal interpretation and take on their art. We highly recommend you see the original artwork for yourself. Many of these works are housed at CoSM/Entheon.
All sketches throughout are from various sketch work and self-portraits. Within this episode, anything sketched embodies the physical plane, and anything more ethereal embodies the spiritual and psychedelic plane. Also throughout, we heavily referenced the holographic effect on some of the Tool album artwork, posters, etc. that Alex Grey created. For us personally, that shimmering rainbow really embodies our personal trip experiences.

In case you're unaware, Alex is a famous artist. He does a lot of the artwork for the band Tool. I'm assuming he collaborated with the animators in this one.
Psilocybin saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety and illicit pill addiction. Imagine carrying heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not in a couple years the be all over for treatment of mental health related issues 0:03

Psychedelics have definitely had a positive impact on my mental health. They've been really helpful for me in dealing with anxiety and depression.

Awesome video! I went to see the the early version of COSM in NYC about 15 years ago and they were telling parts of this story back then. So cool to see it animated!

I’m still very new to all these, still doing some research on dosages and all.
Well others might disagree, it does seem very clear that you need psychedelic therapy to maximize the benefits of life.
I can't speak for everyone magic shrooms rejuvenated me, No doubt about that. It lifted an existential angst that I have been carrying for years. It never came back.
The experience I got from taking shrooms as a whole was spectacular, I felt completely supported.
Taking shrooms was 100% one of the most important experiences in my life. Everything has changed since my trip - I perceive things differently.

Psychedelics definitely has potential to deal with health issues like anxiety and depression , I would like to try them but it's hard to source them here,
proven very effective in the treatment of various mental health issues aside from other health benefits. Helped me get out of years of depression and excessive alcohol use.

LSD, DMT and psilocybin containing mushrooms are amazing. I could remember several years ago, I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Was actually diagnosed with BPD. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. This is something that really need to be use globally to help people with similar health challenges.
Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Australia. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.

I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.

I can't imagine how joyous it must be to have a partner in life, that loves and supports and identifies with your existence... so tired of being alone. I have been 44 years alone now, and see no end in sight. Perhaps I will be allowed to know love in the next incarnation.
Last time I did LSD I spent hours as a beam of pure light zipping across time and space.

I always enjoy the story telling on this show but hands down this has to be the best art I've seen.
I was so glad that the animation on this one was very unique, tasteful and more serious than others episodes; seems more fitting for dipicting the trip of such a living legend as Alex Grey.
..and now some people can't keep quiet about their "trip" and only do it for the "fun", for the experience...adding Ayahuasca to their "bucket list"..cool

The trip I have been having had really helped me a lot, I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane To me now seems incredible and full of nuance on top of that I am less driven by ego and I have a lot more empathy as well
I was having this constant unbearable anxiety because of university stress. Not until I can across dr_william_tripsz a very intelligent mycologist, he saves my life

I have actually been in those rooms Alex painted on one of my ayahuasca journeys! It was a beautiful experience!

I've taken absolute super heroic doses of mdma and never once had an experience like that or anything remotely like it. I've almost died using it though 🤣

Where is the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors?? This was a great story, I’m glad to see Tales from the Trip evolve so beautifully
I had the opportunity to visit the COSM back when it was still in NYC. I was astonished at just how large his paintings were. Some of them were on 12 foot by 18 foot canvas. The largest one is 25 foot wide and 50ft tall. It's absolutely bonkers and I can't wait to check out the new location.
The amount of love they show one another is nice to watch.

LSD and mushrooms completely changed my whole outlook on life. I became a better version of myself This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body.
A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken. One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot. It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine, this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip:
Everything is alright. The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me (although it's not gone). Before all I could do was lay in bed. Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before
Loved this. I battle from depression, anxiety & C-PTSD, I've heard shrooms cured depression. Wish doctors were more open to natural medicines over big pharma but we know why..

Everyone is an artist in the actual world. Every action you have can be artistic, every person you meet, every transaction you make, every relationship whether romantic, platonic or social can be beheld as an artistic experience, see the other(s) as living, breathing and sharing the same Life Experiences that you are experiencing. I had a high dose (my first) of LSD at age 15 in 1969. It changed everything and rescued me. It helped me begin to comprehend other dimensions and the source of all. It was a wonderful tool.

Some of these videos have not been that great and ive doubted certain peoples authenticity but not with these two. This was beautiful and moving and full of integrity. Great blend of visuals and editing as well. This has been the most meaningful to me of all ive seen.

When the Chapel Of Sacred Mirrors was still in the Meat Packing District before they moved it upstate I had the exquisite pleasure of attending a dance party on the Winter Solstice at COSM for Winter Solstice 2005 or 2007. Unable to figure out which year that was in my memory but of his presence and genuinely cool cat vibe has not diminished with time. A Sagittarian's Sagittarian.
Alex Grey has been my constant and Gratest hero/artist/inspiration my entire life. Without him I don't think I would've tried to use my artistic talent as much as I have so a huge thanks to you sir Alexander the Grey! Thank you for shining your light so very bright and I can't wait to make a journey to CoSM and take a journey amongst some of my favorite paintings! Namaste!

Alex....I've experienced that tunnel as well on 500ug. I was listening to Alan watts and I meditated going deeper and deeper inside. Wow he put it into words I never could, it's why I admire you both💜maybe this is a sign for me to visit that realm. I haven't been connected to spirit since 2021
