One thing that I've been wanting to practice more is zipline movement, I can superjump and all that but using them during a fight has been frustrating for some reason
3/2 classic no dead is Goated for us that are past our prime. Can’t move as fast but I hit 80% more shots and when ur bullets start hittin u win more fights. Gg boys
I dont understand how any of yall use these super slow ass sens, tried the “overpowered” 4-3 linear last night, couldnt go 5 matches without changing it back to alc. one wall jump & your screwed.
This is probably the best tutorial whether your experienced or new you explained everything so good i know how to some of the movement but could never figure out the inputs or the timing thanks mango your the goat!!
I really wish they'd make the wall bounce a bit more accessible, like widen the frames that the jump button actually works on a wall, as it is now everyone knows how to do it but you never incorporate it in a fight cause it's so inconsistent.
If you throw horizon's ult then her tact onto the ult you can stabilize yourself in the air better. You can use the same thing to get enemies away from you in the middle of combat.
Thanks for all the tips Mangos. I’ve been learning a lot from your vids and doing a lot of Solo queuing, so these help! I do add players who I’ve had success with to avoid solo so much.
4-3 Classic no deadzone here. But here's the weird part. I've bound jumping to (R), crouch(hold) to LB, tactical to B and Melee to A. Auto-sprint on. This makes playing legend that have to throw/aim their tactical (Fuse, Catalyst, Bangalore etc) a bit harder, but I rarely play those. I CAN play claw so I'll swap to that if I HAVE to play those legends. But for my main (Caustic) there's such a delay between tapping B and actually throwing the trap that this works fine. Legends that I can easily play are Horizon, Octane, Mirage and even Valk (because where your reticle is is where the middle down row of her rockets will go) I did this because I wanted to stay on my stick during close-range fighting and I didn't like the button puncher preset. Soooo I started messing around and I found this setup to be the easiest to not mess up in-game. Sure, it's not perfect, but in my stats you can clearly see when I changed these inputs. Maybe I'll one day brute force myself into something that makes a bit more sense, but for now I'm so used to it that I think I'll just stick to it.
I've just got into Apex in PS5 and these tips are awesome! Being a casual PC player and moving into a controller feels very overwhelming but it feels worth learning, thanks for the video
See I tried 4-3 linear no dead zone and while it was definitely crisp up close my stick drift screws me up long range I sometimes switch between small dz and no dz depending on the situation
If you like 4-3 linear I suggest looking alc configurations for an exact match and just adjust the dead zone. I have a 4-3 linear alc with enough deadzone to make it reliable
I liked 4-3 linear no dead zone so much but I had the same issues with drift at range. I ended up returning my elite controller and buying a controller with Hall effect sticks and haven’t had any drift issues on no dead zone since
Only benefit I found of ALC is warming up without Aim Assist. Not sure how to superglide with button puncher and no paddles. That's got to be hard. Good tips as always. Yet another good video.
yeah supergliding w/ out paddles and on button puncher is basically impossible. I've done it but I really just don't do it ever cuz of how I hold the roller.
You can use crouch on L3 Which will allow you to do superglide and crouch while moving(pressing L3) not aiming(which is harder) Put autosprint on if you are using this
I use RB to crouch LB to jump A to use ability B to grenade LT to Aim RT to shoot and Right Dpad and A to Ult can i get some one opinion cause i like it but wondering if i should change it to his
The auto sprint running past a death box is crazy helpful. You’re making it look worse because you’re using the firing range box which has way to much fun clutter before the shields. You can easily get a shield swap off while auto sprinting. I’ve done it plenty of times and it’s saved me from storm or player fire
I just use default settings for configs change to max fov and switch crouch to the right stick, oh my best idea. For me was also switching my health menu tab to RB and ping to dpad up. On Xbox I kept dying trying to switch my heals. Because of its shape and size it wasn’t easy to heal or switch to cells. It takes getting use to for Ult activation, but once you get use to it, it’s a god send. I hold my controller like a human man, not an arthritic crustacean so my movement can be clunky.
I swear by alc settings. If you got plenty of time to play Apex then you have plenty of time to personalize your aim and practice to perfect it. I don't think anyone can claim that they want to have more precise aim and ignore those options. That's like saying "I want better grades but fck studying"...
I play with alc a long time and experience a lot different settings, at least i go back to 3-3 linear small deadzone and my aim is much better, btw a most pro player play without this, but in Titanfall2 i use alc's. 😅
Any tips for fighting against Apex Predator stacks in pubs while solo queuing? This game is almost unplayable nowadays. Every pub match turns into a stratigic ALGS tournament. I wish pubs was still fun
I don’t know if you’ve seen it but why is mic not working in game chat with a headset but it does it party? I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well as resetting the Mac ip
This is gonna seem weird, I changed my crouch button to left trigger and my jump to right trigger and then change my aim and attack to the bumpers. My ping is A, my tactical is pressing right joystick, and my nades are on the d pad
Ok i need tips like these but i need them from someone who actually plays on console not pc with a controller cause i dont know how much transfers over to actual console and what only works on pc
So I know that this isn’t related but I’ve got to ask so I’m trying to figure out what character to main in apex I’ve been flip flopping between so many like revenant than Maggie than horizon so I want to ask what character would you recommend me I like playing aggressive but I want to do something for the team so I’m not useless and dead meat on the team also I’m not the best intermediate to average at best
You need to play the character you’re most comfortable with / enjoy playing. Out of the three you mentioned, Maggie & Horizon have the most team utility.
I don't need tips or hints. I have aim assist. MnK players have always told me that aim assist erases literally any and all skill involved and allows anyone to one clip any player no matter how good instantly at any distance. I have never played this game, but I will now try my first game in the SBMM of my two Pred friends to prove this point. I will beam every single Pred in the game since skill doesn't matter and there is no skill involved and zero game sense or knowledge of game mechanics comes into play when you have aim assist.
That’s absolutely ridiculous, aim assist does help but it doesn’t make you a beaming pro! There’s always been arguments between Aim assist and PC which one is better I personally think that neither one they’re both the same it’s just the practice you actually put into what you’re doing and how good you wanna get!
Okay so I’m about to put everyone on game. In terms of the HEAL WHEEL. As a controller player I have on auto sprint which means my left stick was basically useless. So instead I have put healing on clicking the left stick which now allows me to move more freely while trying trying to heal because I don’t have to move my thumbs at all.
If anyone is looking to pick up the razer v2 chroma or the HYPR FPS controller with 4 back buttons and mouse click triggers plus interchangeable thumbsticks, LMK. I can sell them at a cheap price. They still work and are as good as new. Dont just need them anymore. (This isn’t a fake comment. I’m legit serious lol)
L2 aim L1 jump R2 crouch R1 shoot making tac X and ult X+O It's how I have played since apex started. Every one says it's weird, but I keep both middle and pointer fingers on back buttons at all times. And thank you I've been watching you for a long time you've been really helpful along my apex journey. I'm on PS4 my PS5 coroded from humidity I have a snake and two bearded dragons in my room sooooooo it killedy PS5 in 3 months....
I see what you did there the one thing that makes the most difference you didn't mention but there's subtle hints there, I don't blame you for not saying though as turning one setting off will increase your aim more than anything 😂
idk why this was reccomended to me but.... if youre getting help, you arent legit. if your aim isnt 100% you, no matter how well you perform in the match its not you that's good. Nobody should get help, either youre good or youre not.

even 3 linear is to slow to track closer so there’s no point in running 2 classic just run 3 which is alr slow cause it’s classic
I'm the kind of weirdo who runs 4-2 Classic 😅

Love the videos mango been a huge help in getting better at apex.

whats the difference between classic and linear?
