This was so interesting for those of us that have no clue how that was done... Helped me understand and appreciate the uploaders and the amount of time and effort they put into these videos so we have instant entertainment!
Glad you are back in action. I have picked up several useful tips and hints about RVing full time from watching your channel, so I am thankful to see you making/posting videos again.
This Video had exactly ALL the information i was gonna ask for. Thank you Thank you. Wife and i are hoping to be on the road in 60-90 days. Alot more in Logistics and prep and get the RV's here and start the diagnostics and such and LEARN the Motorhome. I want to do a daily video of our trip from Oklahoma to Alaska and good or bad , be able to watch our adventure. As always, Thank you Eric and Jax for the time from your lives you take to allow us to experience yours with You..
Great video! My husband and I have been watching your videos for a while now, including most of your past videos. I'd love to see more instructional on the software. But this was awesome. i have another video idea. We'd love to hear details about how you keep Jax safe moving from place to place. I know you use a harness. But curious about any other safety measures you take to keep him safe or problems you have had & solved. We are new RV owners and trying to travel with our cats safely. They aren't yet harness trained but we are trying. Thanks again for sharing this great video!
love your video's and personal style to what you bring and present in a quality production Eric. Thanks for sharing happy trails and adventures to you and Jax!
Howdy Eric, I first thought that this video would be too much for this old guy to watch. But I watched it and are amazed the work it takes to produce a video of the quality that you send to us !!! I am an analogue man living in a digital world but you managed to make it easy for me to understand !! Never realized how much work it is!! Thank you very much for the vids, the work and the time you take for your viewers. Have a beer give Jax a treat. Happy Trails.......John
Thanks Eric for doing this vid. I have been giving some thought to starting my own channel and this has helped me see what all is involved. I'm obviously not ready yet.
Thanks Eric, that is super cool. I looked around hard when I started making videos for just this kind of info. I wanted to start out smaller though, in case I didn't like it, so I did not invest in editing software. I use a Samsung video camera, movie maker to edit, then compress with handbrake, and then upload to youtube. As you mentioned, if you don't compress, or encode, the upload takes hours! Now, even though I love making videos, I am really happy with my freeware programs. Happy filming!
This is awesome, ty....really interesting, been looking at a go-pro just yesterday... I added this to my watch later list so I could take notes, you are a wonderful teacher...
Thanks for sharing this with all of us. Love the new music intro to this particular video. It's a light country sounds that says .. lets get to it. Have a good one.
Dude you have mad skills on that thing. Your college money was well spent and I can see why your yt page is so popular. Sorry for the dorks who like to waste your time and ruin it for the rest of us. Currently going thru all your old videos.
Hey Eric, there is actually a screen capture software built into the Mac. Search QuickTime player in the top right of the screen. Nothing actually opens, but the top bar should say QuickTime. Then click file and then new screen recording.
awesome thanks for making it simple. so many people try to make things sound so intense but simple that overall it doesn't make sense. nice job. keep it up.,
Your audio is reasonably good. You are peaking around -6db and averaging around 12db. This is fine for web use. But, you have probably noticed that professional high budget productions are actually quieter. That's because professional broadcast only accepts -20db. Because the dynamic range is wider than amateur productions, the goal of pro audio is to peak at 0db and average -20db.
Thank you for answering back and I'll try some of your advise and I am having trouble getting about the DC batteries I mean there are to many hookups plz make a video clearing all that up
Thanks Eric...I have a GoPro Hero 3 White also...getting ready to start posting vids --your tutorial gives me some insight into how to create my movies...how do you like your Hero White?
Hi Eric I just found you y where my best friend I think what you're doing is awesome I'm amazed I'm very proud of you I would like to know and see more of your cat he really is the star of the show. You on the other hand are so wise and experience and the hardships of learning something new we would love to see you and visit with you when you come to Texas specifically Arlington if you can give us a call get my address I don't know how I don't want to post anything I don't I'm new at this so if you can respond and then tell me how to do it privately and I'll reach you just give me a call Ted
I know this was posted a long time ago but I just stumbled onto it. It is extremely interesting. I only can film with my phone. I have uploaded a video on some program. It came out okay but this really helped I'm not planning on getting a go pro or anything but I would like to play around with making more videos. Thank you
Thanks Eric. Want to visit sunny Florida? I'll show you where to camp for free. My house, elks lodge, moose lodge, fwc recreational wilderness areas, and more!
I love the music on the intro! Great job! Also I was one who asked about editing videos and realize it's a bit more complicated (expensive) than I thought. Good info though...Thanks!
Awesome Eric I loved this video. I have so got to get myself a GoPro at some point. It was nice to see all the hard work you have to put in to make the videos. Keep up the good work :-)
Thanks for this video. What kind of cannon vixia camera do you have? I also have one that I bought 2 years ago at best buy. Mine has a stabilisation option. I was wondering if yours has that too.
How long did it take you learn all the different items you clicked on to edit so it comes out correct ..? like you want it too i find this very interesting to see you in action
Thanks so much! I was wondering how to do ALL that, lol. Especially glad to learn about the Adobe Media Encoder step. I had tried to upload a 3 minute video and it was going to take an hour and a half, so I knew there had to be a better way but couldn't find what it was. You make this look so easy but I know from many attempts that it is NOT. LoL at Jax, he mooned us all ;-) Take care and thanks again!
Hi Eric, thanks for that it was really useful and i will go looking for a GoPro next week, just one question, when you using your GoPro you always seem to be in the centre screen even if your walking around etc, when you looking at the camera and talking can you see your self so you know that your in they shot..or is there some tip you have, i hope that makes sense...Thanks once again...
Very nice, I really need some software that works nice and Adobe looks good! Glad to see your in fine spirits! I have shot a lot of video this summer and will be adding it to my channel after editing. Keep up the good work!
Not really. Sometimes I have multiple videos ready to go and have to upload 3 in a row, but I try to keep them in order. I've been able to be near wifi every night for a week while urban camping and it's been great. When I go deeper into the woods, it's tougher to post.
Hey eric, I was wondering what Mac book dc charger are you using? I remember you mentioned that you didn't run an inverter to charge your Mac book pro. I tried looking on past videos but I couldn't find it with my luck.
Eric, I'm a newbie to your channel , I was wondering, will these co. sponsor your vids? Seems as if they are getting free advertising if people are asking for tutorials.
I was watching this video and it got me thinking about the t-shirt you were wearing. The coffee mug arrived in a million pieces and I was ok with that, but now I have changed my position... I want a t-shirt (regardless of whether a coffee cup can safely be delivered, and of course, if there are any shirts to be had... XL is my size...hint hint). Now, back to the video... H-DAM [and No, that does not stand for a shortened version of "hot damn"] Thank you Eric!
Why not instead of taking out the sd card every time, why not getting a USB cord for the gorpo? (some other usb cords work to, like for me, all of my camera usbs plug into my gopro and work fine)
For whatever reason, it takes 8 times longer to copy material thru the cord to computer compared to direct SD card input. Seriously. I don't know why, but I hate waiting. :)
That was great. It was very informative. May I ask what laptop that is that your using? I see it is an Apple, just wondering what model. Remember, always eat dessert first, just in case. Be well and stay safe my TH-cam friend!!! 😎
I think about making video's on occasion. Who knew it was so complicated. I know everyone probably thinks it's so easy lol. Wow, is there a class somewhere? How do you figure it out? Janice
Trial and error. I have ambition to continue to get better and try new things I see others using either in movies, tv shows, or other youtubers. Nothing wrong with pressing record on your phone's video recorder, talking, pressing stop and then uploading it just like it is. It's raw and natural, and many people love that intimate, unedited portrayal.
Excellent video. I see the thumbs down but for the life of me can't see what they would be objecting to. I swear some people just click it to be contrary. Anyway, take care.
Love all the videos. Is there an email I could reach you at? I have a bunch of questions on what goes I to doing what your doing. Thank you for the time
Hey Eric liked the video on heating. Have you ever thought of a little buddy propane heater ' they are awesome. Check out our vlog lensecaping Maine if you have a moment any suggestions are welcome as we are new at this.
I have, but I'm really eyeing the Olympian Wave catylitic heater and to splice it into my propane line. No power use for a fan, just like the buddy system, but more permenant, and no using those expensive 1lb green cylinders.
Eric, I can't believe that after 3 1/2 years, your tutorial is still very relevant! It was very useful tonight! Thanks buddy!
This was so interesting for those of us that have no clue how that was done... Helped me understand and appreciate the uploaders and the amount of time and effort they put into these videos so we have instant entertainment!
Wow. This was FASCINATING! Thank you for taking the time to do this. Really gives me a greater appreciation for how much time is spent on each video.
You are the star actor, director, and editor of your own film saga. You’re awesome.
Glad you are back in action. I have picked up several useful tips and hints about RVing full time from watching your channel, so I am thankful to see you making/posting videos again.
Thanks for watching. :)
Great! Thanks for showing us how to.
Wow! Awesome information! Just what I needed to learn in order to edit videos and which software to use. You're the man. Thanks for sharing!!!
This Video had exactly ALL the information i was gonna ask for. Thank you Thank you. Wife and i are hoping to be on the road in 60-90 days. Great video. Kudos to the guy who suggested it. Thanks for the new music on the intro.
Thanks for sharing
I'm a recent nomad and have found your information very helpful

Thanks Eric for doing this vid. I have been giving some thought to starting my own channel and this has helped me see what all is involved. I'm obviously not ready yet.
Thanks, I have never uploaded any vids before, you made it appear easy and straight forward.
Thanks Eric, that is super cool. I looked around hard when I started making videos for just this kind of info. Nice informative video, keep up the good work in 2014.
Very helpful, Eric. Thank you for the video tutorial on how to make videos.
This is awesome, ty....really interesting, been looking at a go-pro just yesterday...

That whole Adobe Creative Cloud is AWESOME. Nice work Eric. Nice tutorial.

Great piece of work Eric. lots to take in. THANKS FOR that.Stay safe.

I've been wanting to make my own videos, you inspire me, thanks!
Eric your videos can be not only informative, but down right hilarious with the help of jax of course =D
Awesome informative video Eric and Jax! I need to watch it again and take notes! Can you do time lapse video with the set up you are using?
Excellent, thanks for the tips on how you do your youtube vids !!
Thanks for letting us see how you make your video's Eric
Nice introduction to using the software on a Mac.
Hi Eric I just found you y where my best friend I think what you're doing is awesome I'm amazed I'm very proud of you I would like to know and see more of your cat he really is the star of the show. Thanks Eric. Want to visit sunny Florida? I'll show you where to camp for free. My house, elks lodge, moose lodge, fwc recreational wilderness areas, and more!
Love this video. Thanx so much for it.
Lots of great information! A lot of TH-cam folks could learn from you. Your videos are always well done. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome Eric I loved this video. I have so got to get myself a GoPro at some point.
It was nice to see all the hard work you have to put in to make the videos.

Thanks for this video. What kind of cannon vixia camera do you have? I also have one that I bought 2 years ago at best buy. Mine has a stabilisation option. I was wondering if yours has that too.
Great video Eric, you explained it really well
Thanks man. I'm still messing around with lightworks. I'd love to give adobe a go, especially after this. Looks similar, but a bit more user friendly
There are really a lot of transferable tools. I bet you'd make the switch easy.
How long did it take you learn all the different items you clicked on to edit so it comes out correct ..? like you want it too i find this very interesting to see you in action
Thank you for answering back and I'm having trouble understanding the DC bartery there are two many hookups I don't get what each one does
Thanks so much!
That was great... Thanks, I'm one that needs to be shown how to do things. I don't get it to well if I'm told how to do it.
Thanks Eric, Very helpful! Are those programs usable on both PC and Mac?
Hi Eric, thanks for that it was really useful and i will go looking for a GoPro next week, just one question, when you using your GoPro you always seem to be in the centre screen even if your walking around etc, when you looking at the camera and talking can you see your self so you know that your in they shot..or is there some tip you have, i hope that makes sense...Thanks once again...
good one Erik, you put a lot of work into your vids it comes out sharp
Very nice, I really need some software that works nice and Adobe looks good! Glad to see your in fine spirits! I have shot a lot of video this summer and will be adding it to my channel after editing. Keep up the good work!
Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
Cool! You are amazing!
Do you ever post your videos out of sequence? Glad to see you have your RV back by the way.
Not really. Sometimes I have multiple videos ready to go and have to upload 3 in a row, but I try to keep them in order. I've been able to be near wifi every night for a week while urban camping and it's been great. When I go deeper into the woods, it's tougher to post.
How about a tour or the R.V., layout, stats like length & your perspective of your home?
Thank you for the helpful video!! This is good stuff for someone who had no idea! :)

Good tutorial. I am an adobe fan - with Lightroom - and have been wondering about their video software. Thanks much.
Hey eric, I was wondering what Mac book dc charger are you using? I remember you mentioned that you didn't run an inverter to charge your Mac book pro. I tried looking on past videos but I couldn't find it with my luck.
Hey Eric, Thanks for the video. One day I would like to start a V-LOG of some sort or upload a video of rendomthings but I need more technology!! lol
Like the new intro!

Eric, I'm a newbie to your channel , I was wondering, will these co. sponsor your vids? Seems as if they are getting free advertising if people are asking for tutorials.
wow thats alot to do, I do not do that much stuff for my videos good job your videos look good.
that intro was the best intro ever :D
Thank you, enjoy your videos! Love Jax! :)
Oh, and do you know what editing (free hopefully) programs that you would suggest for windows?
I was watching this video and it got me thinking about the t-shirt you were wearing. The coffee mug arrived in a million pieces and I was ok with that, but now I have changed my position... I want a t-shirt (regardless of whether a coffee cup can safely be delivered, and of course, if there are any shirts to be had... XL is my size...hint hint). Now, back to the video... H-DAM [and No, that does not stand for a shortened version of "hot damn"] Thank you Eric!
Ah dang it. Sorry about the mug. I'm going to look into some more t-shirt reproductions soon. Of course I won't forget about ya bud. :)
\m/ \m/ hell yeah!
You are awesome..
Hey Eric i'm using the same Program, But when i upload it you see two black thing in the right and left side on youtube.
Why not instead of taking out the sd card every time, why not getting a USB cord for the gorpo? (some other usb cords work to, like for me, all of my camera usbs plug into my gopro and work fine)

Nomadic Fanatic I hate waiting to, so that makes sense
That was great. It was very informative. May I ask what laptop that is that your using? I see it is an Apple, just wondering what model. Remember, always eat dessert first, just in case. Be well and stay safe my TH-cam friend!!! 😎
That was pretty interesting

I have 4 deep cycle batteries on my 32 foot travel trailer and dont know whats size solar panel to get. Any ideas. Thanks
I would try to produce 400watts if possible. How big is your inverter?
thanks
I think about making video's on occasion. Who knew it was so complicated. I know everyone probably thinks it's so easy lol. Wow, is there a class somewhere? How do you figure it out? Janice

Have you ever got into Aftereffects?
Eric Have you got G+ as I want to ask you some questions on your recording software
This made my head hurt. But I'm not smart at this type of stuff. Very interesting though. I appreciate the videos more now.
Excellent video. I see the thumbs down but for the life of me can't see what they would be objecting to. I swear some people just click it to be contrary.
Anyway, take care.
great butt shot! hahahaha! Jax is a huge version of my own kitty, Lucy. She is the same color but much smaller. Thanks for sharing the "how-to" stuff.
Love all the videos. Is there an email I could reach you at? I have a bunch of questions on what goes I to doing what your doing. Thank you for the time
Thanks. And email me at ericjacobs1463@yahoo.com
I have a Cobra 2500 watt

Nomadic Fanatic I have the "little Buddy" plumbed into my propane line just before it enters the furnace, Works fine, no fan on the one I have.
Aint that just the cats @$$ lmao
