That scene STILL makes the hair stand up on my arms.
one of the creepier episodes ...outer limits was pure si-fi......still love this show all these years later.......
Yes I remember don't open until Doomsday
Yes,..Outstanding Miriam Hopkins...
One thing about the Outer Limits... Characters on that show used to scream... A lot! Often, not even all that appropriately. Apparently ABC didn't think a show could be truly scary unless someone was screaming... Lol.
I remember seeing this one when I was a child. It was the scariest of all.
It's a creepy episode but I never really understood the motivation. Why pick on this couple? Why did they deserve this gift?
The old man who delivered the "wedding gift" was a scientist who discovered the alien. The father of the groom was his partner and tried to expose the scientist as a fraud, and the delivery of the alien was his way of revenge.
@@michaelproctor8100 I never quite managed to extract that back story from what is conveyed in this episode. Since I own the collection, I'll have to watch it again to see if there is any clarification along the way.
He’s a physicist who’s colleague proclaimed we were being infiltrated by aliens from outer space.
An interdimensional alien (as I understood it) with deliberately Freudian characteristics in its design by the writer and special effects sculptor.
This one stretched credulity just a little bit. The groom gets zapped into the box and the bride has to wait 20-odd years for a chance to bust him out?
And nothing changes in 25 years? Does she work? She didn’t get evicted?😁
"Don't Open till Doomsday." Great title.
Super. 💙 T.E.N.
Omg, before Eraser Head! OL is awesome!!! 👹
What is the name of the episode please?
"Don't Open Til Doomsday" - it was the 17th Episode of the First Season
@@pastateconstablesoffice Great, that's the fastest answer I've ever received and want to thank you for it.
@@arsenalsam4693 glad to help a fellow Outer Limits fan ... thank you
This was good one. Wasn't included in the board game though. I wonder why?
The Board Game was designed for the 7 -- 15 age group, and was a "Card Matching" game limited to 52 cards total, so it might be manufactured in the same fashion as a standard deck of playing cards. Besides the Special "Radar" cards and 2 Wild Cards, "Assembling" each "Creature" took 4 cards. Also, being target marketed to children, I believe they went in the direction of the more "visual" or "colorful" monsters.
This is SO perfectly true to life. “Evil” is delivered by an old chosenite to take revenge on his partner by smiting his son. Very Talmudic.
How about some fresh (okay fresher) full episodes?
@@johnbonardi9819 I'm talking about the recent upload of *the same two episodes* that were uploaded in April. Do keep up.

What groom opens the presents without his bride? She could've instantly joined in on the Fun!
