    damn...I bought this game at some point cause it looked kinda fun and I havent even started it yet XD seeing this trailer makes me realize I may have purchased a gem and it looks freaking awesome, time to try it out :)

    To be honest, I was surprised that the developer started selling the game as a sim at some point. When I bought the game two years ago, I thought I was buying a Nexus The Jupiter Incident type tactic.

    Hi. Im curious how do you handle far clipping plane for scenery and objects that are very far? Do you have separate secondary camera for that?

      Hi. The planets are rendered with special projections that keeps the planet in a specific distance from the player, so that he will never reach it. The far clipping plane is set to 5 mil kilometers so that is enough for our needs.

      @@spacereign7707 Do you not have issues with z buffer and rendering artifact on zoomed in objects (like shadows quality, etc) when having so big difference between near and far clipping planes ?

      @@fremenGaming Nope, the shadowcascade has to be adjusted. But this is like the limit for near clipping plane to be at 0.5. If we could turn it to 5, the far clip could be 3x greater.

    Absolutely love this game and I want it to succeed beyond everyone's wildest imaginations, but I'm not sure how I feel about the latest update. Some things are new and awesome, some things got changed around that affect how I was playing the game. I feel like controlling the capital ships needs some kind of tweeking, because big ships and fighters both share "W" + "S" keys and they are mututally exclusive for each other. Not sure how I feel like things being locked behind tech trees. I liked having everything available already, the only thing you needed to grind for was credits. Now it's tech points, too. I don't know. It seems like an extra unnecessary step that doesn't make the game BETTER, it just makes it different than it already was. Also, the new contracts system seems a little... weird. Not sure how it'll affect my previous gameplay style.
    Either way, please don't take this as a whiny complaint! I love this game and I look forward to it getting more attention and love.
