I know this is an "old" video, but wow, i think it's great. Thank you for taking the time to do this. So many companies just put the part number in their website, nothing else. I will definitely do business with IPD to get my volvo in god shape.
Just from my experience, I’ve been chasing a clunk every time going up or down a driveway with the steering wheel at full right. Changed everything you mentioned except subframe bushings and the whole sway bar assembly. Not experienced enough as a DIY’er to do that myself so have to get a professional.
This car has a modified exhaust system on it. Nice catch! We installed a factory R exhaust onto this T5 model. We just had to do some bumper trim work and exhaust hanger modifications. Thank you
Great video. There's a question that 4 mechanics couldn't answer for me. A 2005 Volvo XC90 t6 where is the steering stop? I think it might be internal of the steering rack. No one has been able to confirm or deny that but turning the steering it's not apparent
Hi, question I can buy a s80 with has originally four-c Shocks but now has non four-c shock... would this be a problem? And drive less smooth then a non four-c s80?
Well made video, My rear tyres have worn badly on the inside edges (aftermarket replica 18" pegasus alloys..not sure if offset may be a factor as the offset was a bit "universal") but the car is booked in for a checkover of all the rear linkages etc and a 4 wheel laser alignment this coming friday. What do you think the outcome may be? Failed rear endlinks? Wheels a bad offset? or the rear tracking out? What do you adjust to bring the toe in?
Great Vid, not sure if you have any experience with e brake. I puilled it and it snapped or broke. when I took off the wheel i noticed the rectangular block broke off and springs got all twisted where can I pick up the guts from rear wheel brake shoes for 2004 S60 AWD? TY
@myviews not sure if you've gotten your e-brake situation resolved yet...probably adjusted and didn't back the slack off, or another situation which created a situation that made that cable tighter than a guitar string. Hope you've fixed it- you'll likely need new parts - if you haven't purchased already, please conact me, or go to brickboard, and they've got a "master parts supplier list." It really pays to shop around with these vehicles. Cheers
I bought this same car. Your video its great, you know your stuff! I would love to hace de workshop manual for de P2 V70 2006. Do you know were I can found it.Thanks!
s60 2006 - steering wheel does not return - left or right move/ hwy speed - slightly unnoticeable , more obvious at lower speed on a grater turn - it is very annoying as the wheel does not return on its own - this car received a hard hit on the right side, where as the right drive shaft assy. had to be replaced - the previous owner must have fallen asleep, or was texting. As it regards your video on the P2 suspension, it is an excellent lecture delivered by a good lecturer. Wood I, that there would be more like you on the internet. Please advise as to where you are located - I would gladly bring my car to your facility for maintenance . thank you Retired Aircraft tech.
For all drive shaft, why dont u all simply change the three bearing inside the shaft box. Its cheaper. I believe it damage easily especially when u ramp at cornering.
Ah, thanks for the info. I sell parts for a living myself and like to think that I know my way around FWD-era volvos, so stuff like this is relevant to my interests. :)
Good Tip For Diesel Volvoist's.Run The Fuel Down To The Red,Fill With One Litre Of "LIQUI MOLY DIESEL PURGE" Run Till On The Red Bottom.Put A Half Litre In,Then Half Tank Of Diesel.Once Done,Do The Half Litre At Fill Up's.Keep's It Running As Sweet As A Sweet Thing At Sweet Time.You-tube It.
Nice video. As a new Volvo owner of a P2 v70 chassis I'll be going over this again and again. Also, I'm now a fan of IPD, the producer.. Very nice.

Simple, no nonsense, informative video! Thank you...
Mr Delano is a fantastic presenter. Good flow and topic transitions!
Oldschool solutions. Nice. Rear is little complicated but front is easy and labour cheap to replace.
Great quality video and audio.
Awesome info. Thanks
The p2 is the best chasis. I’ve got a 2006 S80 AWD, 2.5L
Great explanation 👍
i buy your stuff because you make videos like these.

Very good explanation

My car clunks when I back out of my driveway every morning. Only does it once then stops. It’s coming from the passenger side rear. Any ideas?

Hi will v70 shocks and springs fit an s60
What engine does this V70 have? My 2004 2.5T doesn't have the dual exhaust pipework.
Why does my front tires rub on my 06 S60?
I did the end link replacement, cheap enough! But sadly, my clunk over bumps is still there.
My rear wheel bearing gave out and had to be re-placed at 24,000 miles on my S60R.
Shorty turning radius.
ive got a saggy rear end
