Thanks for your honest opinion and for supporting JK in this solo collab. I always enjoy your reactions. For me it’s an ear worm and I’m not even a fan of Charlie Puth but the melody is nice and I enjoy JK’s subtle vocals in this. Plus, JK looked like he had fun filming this which makes me happy.

The song for me is all about JK's voice. I also think that the song sounds ten times better through headphones. The MV is cute, but the actual singing is where it is at for me.
I totally agree with you. While I thought the song was okay, I didn't really feel a JK vibe. I think it was because when I think of a collaboration, I expected to hear more of JK. I felt like this was more Charlie Puth with JK backup vocals. While I hope the song does well, I look forward to hearing true JK solo projects with his own sound. Thanks for your honest review. I really like the song a lot, and Jungkook and Charlie's voices blend so well together. I mean, it's not the deep lyrics we're used to from BTS, but it's a fun way to handle heartbreak essentially. It's a bop that's sticking in my head, so will go on a playlist for sure. Thanks for the honest reaction.

I felt the same way as you about the song, then woke up this morning with it already stuck in my head so now I've had to listen to it 20 more times. XD I don't know if I love it the way I LOVE Run BTS or For Youth, but it is an earworm. The music video did make me laugh though. Jungkook on the hood of the car was hilarious to me!

Yes, I agree. I respect Charlie's music and voice, I just never got the feeling he was a very nice person in real life, just a sense, and this was way before the disorder with Army. He seems to be a guy who's happy to climb over and use everyone to get to where he wants to be, but then, he's not the only one in the industry that could be like this, so hey ho!

This is the thing it's not a bop for me. Without jungkook we wouldn't necessarily listen to this. The song isn't bad at all, it's just one song within thousands like this one. Nothing particularly special.

A song should be good no matter how we listen to it. JK’s voice in his covers doesn’t need sound equipment gymnastics to sound good, his voice is impressively perfect, as it is in this song. The song is not up to JK, so I refuse to sell him short. Still, I’ve supported JK and contributed to the ratings, while feeling used by CP.

Charlie is a famous pop singer & one of JK’s fav singers. They performed together live w BTS at the 2018 MGA’s , so they have history. I love the song which was sonically inspired by the Beatles Yellow Submarine - Charlie really wanted to collab w JK and we agree their voices go so well together. You can see how happy JK is singing w his idol and vice versa for Charlie.
Some of the songs Charlie Puth is known for are "See You Again" and "We Don't Talk Anymore". I totally get your reaction. BTS had set this music standard that us ARMYs look for nowadays from other artists. If it wasn't for Jungkook, I might listen to it, but not necessarily buy it. But as an ARMY being part of the 90%, this is on my TH-cam Music, Spotify, and iTunes. #APOBANGPO #ARMYMOM

You all are the only reactors I truly look forward too because you are genuine, appreciate& respect each of their talents. I’m not surprised by your reaction, it’s an okay song. Pretty typical surface level simple western pop song. I think it’s cute & catchy. I’ll add it to a couple play list of songs like this. Kinda song you want to listen to when you need music to empty your mind & I mean that in good way. The other six have all ventured outside of BTS with OSTs mixtapes. This is JK’s first venture outside of BTS by himself aside from covers. From the behind clips I’ve seen, he looks happy & they were having fun. A step toward spreading his wings. I honestly can’t think of be BTS song I do not like, apparently that’s a problem. They do not, IMO, have any song that even a little bit a like - so much variation that they don’t get old. I’ve only skipped when can’t handle the emotion of that song right now (Magic Shop, Inner child, My Time…) & that’s where songs like this come in or PTD, Boy With Love, GO GO - even though they are more sophisticated they are so fun. If I’m not mistaken Charlie Puth was a song writer before he start also performing. He’s a really talented guy.
✨ *My dumb theory about Left and Right* ✨
In the MV, JK probably represents Charlie's memories about his past love. That means JK is a representations for his memories....Like in the lyrics, the memories(JK) follow Charlie wherever he goes. He tries to get rid of it but he fails(eg: the car scene where JK falls from the car but still follows him by teleporting inside). So he consulted a doctor who is a "Love doctor"(can be seen in the notification on his phn when he paid the fees for the doctor). He consulted a lover doctor cuz the memories were about his love. Even when he was explaining his prblms to the doctor, JK(memory) appeared in front of him and u can see Charlie's astonished and stressed face while seeing him.

This reaction didn’t show the support I expected from these guys. Not a good way to start things off. If you can’t encourage each member of BTS, don’t bother to post your reaction. People love to jump on the bandwagon of negativity. O don’t want that for any of them.
You can still be a fan and honest. The fact the still watched it shows support. They are not saying they hate the song but the are saying its not everything they imagined. There are other artists i like but do not care for every song they release. I still listen, buy, and support them. Let's normalize letting people have different opinions
@@vannellifan Being ARMY doesn't mean you have to LOVE every single song the members participate in. To me it means you give it all a fair shake, and see if you love it - and they did do that. Maybe on second listen in private it sticks more, but I'm not surprised it's not their fave because it doesn't seem that up their alley music taste-wise, and I think it would be more disingenuous if they faked loving it.

Oh guys, I don't want to be the party pooper here. But i love the song! so much! there is more to it honestly. Charlie is a savant/ genius. He is pitch perfect all the freaking time.With this music, he played with the left and right channel of sound (best to listen to it with an over ear headphones which greatly expounds the lyrics. "Memories follow me left and right". Noting that memories occupy spaces (left and right) then translated into sound. Amazing how creative that concept is!!! Mad Mad respect to Puth with his ingenuity. Also reminds me how Jungkook fits into this. If you are an avid fan of Run BTS, there is an episode ( ep 150) where JK casually shows how pitch perfect he was as well. BY mere listening to a melody then he translate the notes to it. He is gifted as well. Puth and JK go well together. Im happy how this song turned out.
I don't mean to be a party pooper either, but plenty of artists have used the panning trick for vocals on their music since the 70s. Actually, BTS does it too with all the harmonies and adlibs they got going on, they play very well with panning left and right their voices (shout out to pdogg). Probably I'm miss-understanding you and you just saying that the creative thing of it is because it happens when the songs lyrics say "left and right" and it goes left and right... Still, it's definitely not that amazing IMO, is a very obvious trick.
The things I like about the song are the lyrics, of course Jungkook singing in English, and some harmonies that blended together very well. But I was missing JK belting it out at the end, only Charlie did. I just hoped it was the two of them together belting in that part of the song.

I actually loved this song and their vocals meshed so well together. This is something I will listen to again and will be added to my playlist. Sometimes ARMY's get so use to BTS group performances being hard hitting but when the guys break away from that and do something a little more low key, it doesn't hit as powerfully. I personally like the song, its just a fun upbeat summer song. Its something you can listen to in the car heading to vacation or what not. Its not deep like what we are used to with anything involving BTS, but overall its still a pretty good song!

The video is about Charlie going crazy over these thoughts that keep following him around so he is getting therapy. Jk is the physical personification of the memories. Which is why Charlie was trying to knock him off the hood of the car and why he jumped when JK appeared in the therapists office. It’s actually a really genius video.

I think art is not an exact thing. Every person will have their own feeling or interpretation for it. Like or dislike the creation doesnt mean you dont like the creator anymore. I think love doesnt have to be that blind.

The song is a 'i would be happy to hear this in my car if it came on the radio or a playlist' but not a constant repeat button Summer hit. It didn't blow me away, but it was cute and fairly fun, and the beat is catchy; which I guess is enough for the purpose of the song, JK's voice blended well and he sounded marvellous which helped a lot with the enjoyment. So yeah, I also give it an okay.

I love it...both sound great! The MV fits too....he can't get JK out of his mind, he's always there as a memory and so a therapist is needed. I really enjoy some lighter, catchy music sometimes and am proud of the choice JK has made for doing it. Hope it's a hit! 💜
GM. I actually really like the song, because I feel it’s JK’S 2nd Chapter and his way of slowly getting his feet into something different and new. He appreciates Charlie Puth and has sung his songs on VLIVE, and they did the collaboration in S.Korea. It looks like a fun and relaxed feeling, was had by both during the recording of the song and making of the video,which is of course different from what we are used to seeing from our precious Maknae. @@Melesse636 Nico and Blaze have never reacted this way previously in any of BTS POP songs (they were always too hyped for them) like this and this song sounds really similar and it is quite catchy and popular already with so many Armys and yes I am also entitled to have my opinion I guess. I didn't mean it in a bad way only just my brain is attacked after this and I wish it wasn't.. - why such a massive jump it is like a punch into my face. I haven't expect that. All I am trying to express is the feeling I got from the boys all of the sudden with this song and I cannot work it out I wish I could and maybe you are right and I hope you are right maybe it is just THIS ONE song after sooo many BTS songs they think is just ok because all the previous BTS songs (with the similar beat and sound and vibe as I mentioned) were super great according to them. I hope you understand what I am trying to say, maybe I am just too overreacting it could be just me and I am sorry for that but I am just giving my reaction to their reaction.

Also from start they seemed so so down ... It gave me not taht good vibes and now i am in comment section seeing so many non lovers telling they love the honest opinion.. but it seemed one sided

@@Melesse636 they are allowed to dislike the song, everyone is. it’s just the way they started the reaction almost as if they weren’t interested. maybe they had a bad day, maybe they aren’t fans of CP, who knows.. but it definitely can rub people off the wrong way. they also are fans of bts’ pop songs so i wonder why they dislike this one so bad. just a thought.

I love this song! Charlie and JK sound great together. The boys will for sure be trying sounds and genres VERY different from BTS songs. They've gradually softened musically and very much moved away from their earlier concepts. What will be interesting is to see HOW their individual work is really really different from BTS. I very much felt that they're starved artistically and ready to not have such a strict format as BTS songs demand. It's a very limiting song structure...rap line a little, vocal line spread out 3 ways etc....Its time we see what the boys really want instead of what we have come to expect.🤗
They have had soft songs since the beginning ("just one day"?), and a wide range of genres and styles. Not sure how much of their discography you have explored. But they have had many unit songs, duo songs, solo song just on BTS albums. Then also solo releases and outside collabs. Sure the OT7 songs sometimes have a structure but line distribution is far from formulaic. But there's a lot to be said for working with artists who bring new ideas and perspectives and spreading their wings. We know vaguely which direction their tastes and styles are likely to head already. This song was an easy fit for JK rather than a radical departure.
@@melsb1825 no I know their whole discography. I was really making a general statement about BTS softening their musical sound the last 2 or 3 years. I also was kinda making a don't expect a typical BTS sound statement. If we get it that's great, but I feel the boys have been artistically stunted the last few years in terms of their own individual artistic voices and also the actual constraints of BTS songs as I stated in my initial comment.
@@mochi_salamanders Fair enough, I agree regarding most of their A sides. Life Goes On and Yet to Come I think are straight from their hearts musically though.
I think it's a definite preference on their part to make those more melodic songs on occasion, even the rap mix tapes have mellower moments. All the members do have their definite preferences and influences, it will be amazing to see where they go from here. Also BE was definitely a BTS project album from start to finish (apart from Dynamite which almost didn't make the cut) in all aspects where the members got to try out different roles beyond songwriting and producing (although they did that too), and is very close to their hearts.
As with all BTS music solo or otherwise, it will always be expect the unexpected :).
@@melsb1825 I agree! It's been a real joy having BTS OT7 for so long! I didn't know how to feel initially when I watched the Festa and honestly cried for at least half of it out of sadness for the boys. I feel that many artistic choices have been...idk, skewed for the boys since BigHit became HYBE and also the combinations of covid, military service uncertainty, and the postponement of the ON era world tour. The English songs also felt distincly...pressured honestly to me...the Grammy prize was the one denied them out of their many many amazing achievements. I literally want nothing but the best for all of those boys as they literally changed my life and brought me back to music and all of the joy to be had from their relentless pursuit of making it. I cannot WAIT to see what solo projects bring even as I will NEVER forget how their entire discography has touched and moved me! Borahae ARMY 🥲🥰🥰🥰

I thought the song was decent. However, it really showed how spoiled I am since diving into KPOP, especially BTS, where I always knew that the lyrical content put out by BTS was gonna be a masterpiece and the music video would be absolutely amazing. This has a catchy tune and Charlie Puth has some really good songs. TBH, I was watching it for our man, JUNGKOOK, and he definitely didn’t disappoint. I rarely listen to any western music because in my personal opinion it doesn’t compare to BTS nor the other few KPOP groups that I love. The effort and dedication is just not visible in western music. But I will listen to anything that JUNGKOOK and the other BTS members grace us with, as all seven members are the very best around! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Say what yalll want but this song Issa bop. Charlie and JK BOTH ate this song up together and I can definitely hear this being played across American stores and radios for sure. Regardless of how Army feels about Charlie Puth (they needa let it go cus we shouldn’t talk about wanting to hold people accountable when they FEEL like it especially within the KPOP fandoms and that’s all tea ALL SHADE but anyways) he still has a lot of musical brilliance and impact especially with his song writing and I feel like this song was needed and JK collabing was the icing on top 🫶🏾
