Yeah sometimes I think that when I visit there. I'm closer to Philly so I'm used to places being open later but I think it keeps the place from getting too rowdy. I mean I'm on the wrong side of 50 now so.... And a few of the local bars are open till 2:00 a.m. on weekends and the bull's Head is open till midnight so...
Love your videos and love Lancaster. What my research is missing is a tour of Lancaster CITY neighborhoods! I don’t know much about the various neighborhoods. Pros and Cons of different areas, what’s cool, what’s not, etc.
West Chester is really nice as well, but it is bigger than lititz. Also has more of an urban vibe and it is a college town so you get a little more liveliness there. I think like for like for something like retirement I would probably prefer Lititz just because I think you still get more for your money than what you would in West chester
Lancaster was one of 7 counties that chose the Ultra MAGA Senate candidate Kathy Barnette over Oz and McCormick in the 2022 Republican primary. Needless to say Lancaster is one of the most conservative counties in PA so expect to live among many Trump flag adorned homes.
Actually funny you say that I live in Bucks county and the township I live in had many more Trump flags than Lititz did. I actually saw more gay pride flags when I was there in September this year. Maybe the surrounding county is different. But I don't really judge a nice place to live that way, I'm a moderate Democrat but I don't think the way the progressive wing of my party runs towns is preferable. You know like Portland Oregon with open-air drug markets and stuff like that. So I think a mix of politics is preferable I don't like the extremes of either side
Just another symptom of what's wrong with the country... I'm a moderate Dem and I like Lititz a lot. They do have drag queen shows at the Inn occasionally if that makes you feel a little more comfortable..... And I think Camden New Jersey is blue so maybe that'll be more comfortable

I adore Lititz! My one gripe is that a lot of the shops close way too early on weekend nights.

I've heard a few people in the past they compare Lititz to some towns in Chester County like west Chester pa
