Pelicam Drone. Bigger boat is always nice on them bumpy days. Nothing like riding back in some ruff water just keeping the boat safe and manageable for all passengers comfortable then get passed by a large 40+ with quads doing 50 plus laying back feet kicked up like it's smooth out.
Dan !!! at 12:00 Mins you cut away from the 10 yr old Captain bring it in. He had a little trouble at 1st and you mentioned damaging the gelcoat but looked like he recovered. Dad and son out on the water. Making Memories.
I grew up at my family's marina on our lake and in regards to loading a boat on to a bunked trailer the driver of the vehicle backing the trailer in , they should first unhook the electrical plug so the bulbs and fuses dont blow , then back the trailer all the way in to get the bunks all soaked so when you load the boat on it slides up the bunks easily then pull the trailer up so the top of the fenders just break the waters surface !
Even though I swam across the DesMoines, the Missouri, and the Mississippi before I was a teenager, if I don't have a line tied off, I have on 1 of 2 PFD I wear. Swimming and boating are 2 different beasts. Swimming you aren't able to slip and knock yourself out going overboard. You're not getting thrown at 40-55 knot hitting water that may as well be concrete. Accidents happen to anyone. Can't believe no one thought of the googan eye, or goober eye. I've been off yt, never caught the voting vid yet. Fine job docking at speed. There's always those that have to spew their hate and putrid rot to survive, most belong to the same party tearing up campuses right now. Month ago I'd of mentioned your Sailfish to a friend. Was putting out his 2nd charter, this one for state waters only. Ended up with a 26' AllPro, same pricing range, but that Sailfish has slightly more beam, freeboard, deck. 15 days before it's 1st book, filled up nearly through the 1st month of snapper.
As a woman of 50 years of boating. I can back a trailer & load a boat..no problems. My daddy taught me everything about cars..motorcycles & boats. I think every man should teach his wife & kids how to back a trailer & load a boat. All it takes is practice..not that hard.
Watching these folks back in the water is like riding with the wife when she is driving the car and I keep hitting the imaginery brake pedal...then I'm yelling at the computer screen stop, stop, STOP!!! Oh well, NOW YOUR IN TO DEEP. Good Luck...and have a nice day!
To me, the only thing "load guides" are good for is as a visual aid in backing the trl. If you position the trl. correctly, you don't need the "guides" to load. They're just one more thing to be damaged. I've owned boats since '68 and that's been my experience.
How big are we talking when you say, Big? That’s the big question on a long run and big chop. I would rather be in a deep V or a mono hull, on the other hand. The Width on the cats is the selling point. Catamarans are known to have a much larger beam, that means it’s so much better for stability while fishing long periods of time.
Big Dan, you mentioned that there isn't a whole lot of docking space here. There is, in fact there are 9 lanes.... the problem is no one can back up with their trailer. The only time they ever do is here. Instead of practicing in a large parking lot, where they learn exactly how to turn to back, they just get it in, go out get drunk and tired, then take up two or three (!) lanes all by themselves. There is plenty of room here, from parking, to tie off, to launching. This is a HUGE facility.
First time ever that what I imagined someone looking like before seeing them, is actually what I thought. I was gonna be disappointed if you didn't have a gnarly beard and look like kept Grizzly Adams. 🤣
Me and my husband really enjoy watching your videos, and hubby really enjoys the bikini shots 😉 Our vote for the name of the drone is "Snoopy". Keep up the great videos!!
G’day Big Dan. I’m putting my vote in for THE PELICAN. I’ve got a question for you mate. Do you need to pass an exam to prove you know how to operate a vessel and understand the rules on the water to obtain a boaters license before you are allowed to skipper a vessel ? Your channel goes a long way in providing evidence that a lot of boaters have no clue as to what they are doing and at times doing outright dangerous things.
@@TheBigDanShow here in Australia you must possess a boat licence to operate a vessl that is capable of exceeding a speed of 10kts. If you are riding a Jetski or Seadoo or equivalent you must possess a personal Water Craft or PWC licence. Love your channel mate, and me being a Marine Rescue radio operator here in Australia your content is a big eye opener for me. Keep up the great work mate.
Why do so many people space their trailer guides so far apart?? Mine are only a couple of inches wider than the boat. She lines up on the bunks every time.
Hey man. Great videos but please!! STOP PANING AND MOVING THE CAMERA SO FAST!!! You are making people have motions sickness. So soow panning and slow movements so we can apreciate more the videos. I am sure many will apreciated👍
I'm Mohammed from Dubai and I'm following all your episodes and I have a little advice. I hope you like it. When the boats arrive at the marina and the safety. Before they are towed on the trailer, the children will be taken down first on the marina and then the boat will be towed freely.

+1 for "Snoopy"
Snoopy in the house
Good lookin boat brother.
Thanks man
What brand of boat is the one at 18:00 minutes. With the two brand new white Yamaha outboards?

That new toyota tundra looked like its frame was going to bend or crack. Lol
lol oooof
Thought you had a Sea Hunt for some reason? But love the SailFish!
Thanks. No SeaHunt here. I’ve looked at them, the 30GameFish is pretty nice but not sure how they hold up long term.
6:47 -
the dude in the bow is glaring at BDan. he can read lips when BDan says "how you ladies doin. y'all are on the Big Dan show!"
I think they call it "churn and burn" on lane 7. 😁
lol I think you’re right
Drone. Ya got Big Dan and Big Scan.
9:15 this guy knew he was going to be on the show lol
Lol

I can understand
never had em. never wanted em.
I've heard that big Catamaran hulls are smoother riding than a big deep vee in rough water.
I wouldn't know personally. Any thoughts?

@21:00 Bro out here making it look easy. 👌🏼
Nice park job Captain.

Give us a tour of your boat like size of engine, trolling motor, how many people, dash and depth finder, storage, live wells, weight.
I’d love to.
Hey Dan if voting is still open I suggest The Ramp Watcher. Do you have your part 107 license? I’m sure you know you need it for monetization channel.
Yes
I build FPV freestyle drones and I named one of mine "Your Mom"😂!
Lol
It's too late, but I just thought of "Sky Eye", "Dock Eye", "Ramp Eye". ;-)
Oh, and "Oops Eye". ;-D
Snoopy ❤
Would make a good mascot to! 🤪
How many attempts to get the car in the garage?
Lmao.
Big Dan was that the Blue Angles that went over??
Yes
Why no more videos from the Gulf Breeze ramp?
Do they have the sigh up yet, you know the one that says "No one can use this ramp without watching the Big Dan Show first" State Law
Hahaaa that’s awesome
I suggested The Pelican, but I do like The Pelicam version.
👌
I still like Skeeter. It even sounds like one.
lol
Drone should be called 'the irritator' or 'irritation'
Hahahaaa the irritator
@@TheBigDanShow Please use it, let a Dutch guy name your drone !
Man I really do love summertime!
If people would simply drop their tailgate before backing their trailer down, they would find it much easier.
lol true
And fantastic docking by the way!
Pelicam!!!!
I like it!
Ya' know, it would be a great personized license plate - N 2 DEEP.

To answer the license. Over 14 and born after January 1st 1988 have to take a safety course. Anyone born before that date nothing is required.
Thanks my friend. There is in fact a voters certification that you must take if you’re within a certain age however, it is hardly enforced.

I think the drone should be called tom for its peeping abilities
Cactus cantina is best Mexican- in foley and I think they have a location in orange beach as well
Nice! Thanks
I'd personally name the drone Mr. Dock

What, ya'll mean you're not supposed to wrap the rope around the cleat 12 times?
