Tara showing us all the embarrassing side of her life especially her messy room make me love her even more. I’ve always struggled with my room even now watching this video makes me really look at my messy room, that’s definitely even worse than hers, just really makes me want to be productive and get through it. I love Tara so much and watching her videos every day makes me so happy.

Here’s a plan to clean your room I have adhd and it sucks with cleaning
1-clean floor and wash sheets/blankets
2-take trash out of room/trashcan
3-fold/clean laundry
4-organize closet by color code and if have clothes that don’t fit or I don’t wear I put it in a corner of my room
5-vacuum/mop
6- bathroom wise I clean off the counter and sink then take old soap and fill them up or replace them
Agreed! Also big thing is having a visible closet, so more racks, they have cute aesthetic ones with like wood shelves etc, but everything visible so you know what you have.

tara!! this is the most relatable problem ever. i consistently struggle to keep my room clean because of the amount of clothes i have that are overfilling my closet. you've probably heard this tip before but when you go through your clothes, if an item brings you joy in any capacity, then you keep it!! i definitely also struggle with keeping things for sentimental value but sometimes you can turn them into other pieces of clothing that you'll actually wear!! (or like a quilt if you have a lot of graphic tees). i know you probably won't see this but i'm wishing you the best of luck with your future deep cleaning. love you girl

I love how Tara is so honest and how she shows us her “flaws”, it makes me feel less guilty about my own flaws. I always felt terrible and embarrassed about my messy room (way worse than hers btw) to the point that I stopped inviting my friends over but seeing her and how she deals with it, it really helps and makes me feel so much better and motivated. Hey tara, Some tips that may help first off your not alone my godmother hoards clothes and i always have to go help her reorganize. Something i saw was Safiya Nygaard hired people to help her. Something they did was getting a little clothing rack and just start organizing things you know you arent ever going to wear or havent worn in a long time. I know you said you keep things because of memories(i do too) but at some point it has to go. Take some time little by little on getting things out you know will never touch your skin again. Donate the clothes so others can enjoy something you also enjoy. Also try to find some extra storage for clothing and randoms.
Girly all I wanted to do was bust down your door and start cleaning and organizing your room. The hardest part is always getting started.

I am the exact same way with clothes too! I am a shopaholic just as bad as you are and I just cant seem to let some of my old clothes go. So do not feel ashamed. I tend to have a hard time letting things go that have a memory attached to it. I have this one dress I used to wear when I was younger and now it fits me like a shirt lmfao and I still kept it. You are so relatable to me and we have so much in common!! Tysm for posting this and showing that there are others out there like me and that I'm not the only one 🫶 I feel so much better about myself after watching this video and I'm less embarrassed. I have become obsessed with you lately and I've been binge watching your videos all week. You're definitely my favorite youtuber at the moment!!

Get everything off the floor. Put clothes on the bed and everything else where it belongs. (Trash in trash, dishes in kitchen, etc..). Fold, hamper, or hang up clothes

You're so brave for telling everyone about your hoarding problems, I had it since I was little, and I always got made fun of it by my parents. I was so embarrassed about it, to the point that i didn't want anyone coming into my room. It’s like when you would want to force yourself to put your hand on a headed stove but you can’t do it because your brain is stopping you to do it since it’s not rewording enough (in form of dopamine and other hormones that make you happy)
