Love the videos . Question: I have a big block Chevrolet 454 can't get temperature down. Average temperature is running 210°- 235°. Any suggestion on on what I can do about getting the temperature down lower without having to go sniper EFI system? (would like to get motor temp down to 180°- 200°) Thanks
Great video! One thing to note make sure you do not use “acorn” or self aligning lug nuts on the installer bearing it will blow it out. Need to use a flat faced lug or nut.
Anyone know where to get longer studs? Went with aftermarket Bassett wheels and only have a small amount of lug stud showing once the wheels are installed. Would like for a bit longer stud to be on the safe side. 79 c10 short bed. Thx.
ARP has some i believe. These ended up working for me bc they were ended up being longer than standard. Just make sure you get the correct knurl size for your Rearend
Solid Content.
thanks man!
Keep having fun with teddy

Do you have electric fans and a proper shroud? I'd start there.
Yes. Have both. Fans kick in at 210° would like fancy kick in at 180°...
Suggestions???
Good educational video

Very true. Great suggestion.
Nice work sir! That tool makes a big difference. Def don't use your fancy lug nuts, use an old one.
Good call!
That stud installer tool makes a world of difference…
All the difference
Just use a bigger nut as a spacer/tool and you are golden
I had to do this just last weekend on my uncles '79 Chev Square-body; four of his right rear lug nuts came loose messing up the threads.
It’s a must with these old rigs

$30? Aold lugnut and a few stacked washers do the same thing for seating those FYI
Sure but the time was cut in half with the installer
