Stainstriker only works with Hose. You are removing stains with normal upright carpet cleaner solution.

It works great as far as cleaning, but after using it to do every carpet in the house I do wish the dirty water tank was a bit larger. Have to empty it twice a room. The small tank does keep the machine light though 😂
