I couldn't believe it, but I had an issue with my original Colt Python. The screw on the right side came loose. And when I tried to tighten it the cylinder wouldn't rotate out. After getting everything realigned and retightened it's good to go now. It was my bucket list gun, and I was offered it and couldn't refuse it. And it's nickel finish, so it's amazingly shiny! FYI: If a Manufacture has to SWAP the Frame or Receiver on a Weapon which means a NEW Serial Number there IS NO FFL FEE because the Manufacture is TRADE the Same Weapon for the Same Weapon! You should not have had to go thru a FFL to send your Python to COLT for Factory Warranty Work you should have just packaged the weapon and Taken it to either a FEDEX or UPS Hub for Shipment and the weapon would have been return to your HOME!

I'm glad you are happy with your Python, I skipped the purchase because of vids like yours. well im glad that your python is finally all good(or golden if you prefer). i remember how bad it was to hear that you were having all those problems and its good to see that everything is fine with your gun. its also great to see that new pythons dont seem to be having these problems anymore. im not sure what to think about colt destroying your gun. i dont know if its true or not and i didnt know that was even legal, but maybe thats what happened. either way, im glad everything is finally good on your end. loved the video, i always love happy endings. keep the videos comin, and catch you on the next one.
Awesome. Glad Colt handled your issues to your satisfaction. I absolutely love my 2020 Python. I put some Altamont super rosewood grips on mine to spice things up a bit.
Hi Greysider! When did you buy yours?? Does it give a manufacturing date on the box anywhere? I have been holding off to order my colt Python, until I know the issues are done with. I was thinking December 2020, but if good guns are coming out I may order sooner. Thanks in advance. 😎👍🇺🇸. Beretta Sr.
BERETTA9mmUSA I wouldn’t worry as much now. All of them “gen 2” 2020 pythons I’ve been told about are fine besides one. That one didn’t have a back sight on it
BERETTA9mmUSA I ordered mine on 2/18/20 and received it 2/25/20. I didn’t see any type of manufacturing date on/in the box anywhere. Just the usual model/serial number. I even contacted Colt for an archive letter but was told the 2020 Pythons aren’t in the system yet. Hope this helps. Good luck!
There colts bought new and being sold on sites for 2000 and up after bought for the 1500. Seems like you got a great deal back. I want one but will wait until cost drops. Great reviews and be safe also
BERETTA9mmUSA I believe I can finally, been shooting it a decent amount, not a hiccup one. I’ll have the 1000 round update soon. Good to hear from you my friend. You stay safe to brother
I had a Python on order and cancelled the order early on. I bought a very slightly used, but pristine, GP100 MC, a used but equally pristine SP101 and a new S&W 686 plus deluxe, all 3 for the same price as the Python. I put Wolff spring kits and shim kits in the SP and S&W, the GP didn't need any enhancement because the action was perfect.
I honestly think it’s user error. I just put 1,000 rounds now through mine. No issues with factory ammo. No light strikes, cylinder turns every time. I’m not 90 years old and complain about everything like cosmetic issues. “The crown affects accuracy!” Yeah if you can’t shoot.
Webb. Just messin. Saw ol Worthless forget his name. Yankee Mark or something. Some other TH-camr who’s an idiot talking about it. I honestly haven’t had issues with mine though but know people who have and have shot buddies that are MESSED up. Definitely quality control because mine is amazing. I am the only one who took it apart and cleaned/lubed it before firing. But yeah. A 1500$ gun shouldn’t have issues. Which is why I don’t buy SIG either. Pieces of juuuunk.
Thanks for the video. I almost put my money down. But when I saw your first review. My heart broke. Having been a victim of the Hudson H9. I'm stuck with a gun i love but can't ever get parts for. I was disappointed in colt the way they treated you. I could only imagine had it been me. They would have just thrown my gun back in the box and said it's fixed.
As you said .357 Magnum is pretty hard to come across now. Odd that .44 Special is actually easier to find now. Luckily I have a revolver that shoots it.
Any luck finding that 42A Holster? I've got a few looking, and I've even got two holster makers willing to clone it if I ever get my hands on one to bring some decent offerings back on the market for others.
I opted for a vintage 6 inch barrel N frame Smith. Good shooter with mags and even though they are not cheap anymore, they don't cost like a Colt. I fired a Python one time, is all. I think I thought it was good. Later had a .38 Diamondback and that gun did not fit my hand at all. And for all of you looking for Anaconda, I had one once in 45 Colt. The extractor would jump over the case rims, a PITA. So watch out for that in the .45 version. All I got now is Colt .45 autos and a prewar Woodsman. Maybe they got to where they were better at autos?
BERETTA9mmUSA I actually bought mine at TSS Warehouse on New Year’s Day at 4 in the morning. About 2 hours after colt announced them. There was 10 when I ordered mine and in less then 3 minutes they was sold out. A very informed me actually. I haven’t seen another new one since then.
I actually ordered mine in advance from sportsmans warehouse then when it came in I went to pick it up and they said it hadn't come in (sounded kinda fishy) but 2 months later it came in. It is awesome!
Back when you got it back the first time, you indicated the new revision stamp under the yoke on the frame. Think you had a pretty good detail picture of it. Is that on this gun?

Doug Wergrzynek yea, I just got an email from Fed Ex saying that they picked up a gun from Hartford Connecticut. I’m not really sure why they never did
Sent mine in around mid January. Just got it back and it’s a low serial number. I sent in a 2300 and received a 1400 serial number. The one I received is absolutely FLAWLESS and I couldn’t say that about the one I sent back. I haven’t shot it yet but hopefully soon.
It's about time that Colt owned up to their mistakes. Congratulations on getting the situation resolved to your satisfaction. No one likes being ripped off! (Maybe Colt will learn a lesson in how to provide REAL customer service?!? Time will tell...)
I didn't think about this the first time I watched the video. Well to keep from reusing the serial # . Do you think maybe you got the sideplat with the # on it back and they just replaced everything else?
@@GoldenWebb yes. I miss spoke. I guess the side plate the side that actually comes off the frame. So could they replace the internals the side plate the barrel and the cylinder basically every piece but the part that has the #.
Looks good. Glad they fixed it or replaced it (which ever they did) I hope mine looks and functions as well. With this virus thing going on, not sure if colt is even working on mine. Hopefully they are.
Colt took three times to correct a defective revolver. I doubt Colt replaced the frame unless it was damaged beyond repair. Colt and other manufacturers will send a new firearm with serial number to address the issue why the customer was sent a new firearm. A few companies will sell them as Factory rebuilds or seconds. Colt should include a letter to explain what repair was made and corrected the issue.
Lucky Gunner has .357 ammo in stock. I've bought alot of ammo from them. Not sure about shipping speeds now. I have also bought ammo from Midway USA and Ammunition Depot.
@@GoldenWebb I just bought a couple 20 round boxes of Underwood Extreme penetrator 140gr .357 ammo from Midway USA. Came to about $85.00 with shipping. Kinda pricey, $1.75 per rd. I should get it by the end of the month.
I didn’t want to watch your first videos about this gun because I didn’t want my head to be filled with doubts. When I saw the title of this video though, I thought to myself, “Oh boy, I gotta know what happened.” So I went into this rooting for ya and I feel very happy for you. :-) I’m curious though, does the trigger feel heavier than on the gun you had before? Because I heard that the real issue with the initial pythons is that the hand wasn’t bulky enough to handle the cylinder. And if that was the case, they could bulk up the hand but it would cause the trigger to become a little heavier. I hope there’s not a noticeable difference. Also, kudos to the “Cowboys, leave your six shooters with the bartender” poster. :-) We have one of those at where I work. :-)
Seth Struble it really is a decently nice revolver now. I like it pretty well myself. Not sure if it’s a 1500$ revolver though, just my opinion. But I sure appreciate you viewing my friend! And yes! It’s one of my favorite posters in my bar

Well I'm sure glad Colt made it right. I've been feeling like they would the whole time, but I am dissapointed that it took two tries for them to finally get it right.
Beautiful gun, but couldn't help noticing that gap between the back of the frame and the grip. For the money spent I'm thinking Colt should not have an issue like that and the fit should have been much better.

Still waiting for my Python. Also been looking out for a Single Action Army for a couple years now but havent seen any. Does Colt have the least manufacturing power of any gun company or what? Seems like all their stuff is in high demand with low supply
They definitely downsized considerably after their most recent bankruptcy back in 2015; losing the M4 and M16 military contracts to FN put the hurt on them something fierce. On the plus side, it pressured them to return to making double action revolvers for the civilian market, but without necessarily all the QC and CS staff that they really could have benefitted from.
ostiariusalpha Yea that sucks. Hopefully they can build themselves back up, but it seems like they’d benefit from increasing their manufacturing, they don’t make enough guns for the demand that they have, and it pisses a lot of people off when they order a gun and it takes years to get built
@@xCaPz LOL! Well, years is a bit of an exaggeration. It's taking them some months to fill Python orders due to dealing with the bad first run, and the Covid19 outbreak is no doubt slowing things down considerably as well.
ostiariusalpha I was talking more about things like the SAA. I was talking to a guy on Instagram the other day and he said he ordered a SAA from them over 2 years ago and is still waiting for it.
@@xCaPz Ah, those. The SAA hasn't been a factory production gun in a very long time, for the past decade or so they've been a semi-custom handgun worked on by a single gunsmith at Colt; that's why it takes so long. The reason there's only been one smith is that demand isn't great enough to justify investing in a full production line. Perhaps if Colt gave the SAA the same automated CNC treatment as they are doing on the new Pythons, they could ramp up manufacturing them.
Well, technically, if it is NOT the same gun u sent them, it is NOT the 283rd Python Colt manufactured. It only has the 283rd serial number stamped on it. Now, u don’t know what number it ACTUALLY is.
While it’s unfortunate that this young man had some issues with his Python revolver & it’s reasonable that he would be upset about it cause no one wants to have problems with any product they buy, specially an expensive high end item, don’t understand all the hate & unreasonable vitriol towards Colt & it’s Python revolver as if they were trying to do people wrong, no company sets out to put out a faulty product or deliberately upset their customer base, specially a company with a 150 year history & reputation of quality, which is why they are so sought out & desired, i have watched a bunch of videos & have literally read hundreds of comments on U Tube, with the exception of a handful of people have some issues with this new Python, I don’t think it rises to the level of a total catastrophic failure with the launch of a firearm that a lot of people had wanted for a long time, also considering that this new Python is basically a whole new gun other than the appearance compared to the old one, this new Python has been engineered with something like 14 new parts & was designed to be a workhorse shooter unlike the older ones that where more delicate & would have some timing problems with steady diet of 357 magnum, this gun was designed to be more robust & better able to handle lots more shooting of the mighty 357 mag. Although we would all love for everything to be perfect all of the time, nothing & no one is perfect all the time, in the end the problem was corrected, the young man seems to be happy, Colt probably discovered something that improved their manufacturing & caught it early enough to make it right by their customers, other than a bit of time (3 months) and a bit of frustration it didn’t cost him anything, that’s why it has a warranty & yes I would have been a bit aggravated as well, but it’s not like some are saying that Colt did him dirty & he should have been compensated with another free Colt or a 1000 rounds worth of 357 ammo etc. I don’t get that mentality of you owe me you gotta give me some free stuff cause i got pissed off & you did me wrong, that is not the case, we have all had a bad experience with something that was purchased & as long as the company makes it right given the chance, that is what matters, but i guess for some people that’s not enough & as others said, all is well that ends well, to the young man i hope you enjoy your beautiful Python for years to come & thank you for the videos you make.
can you tell how you got a hold of them? I call every damn day and just get the freaking voicemail. They have had my gun since january and i have heard nothing from them.

They also have a heavy forward cant. I've found a maker willing to build a holster to the specs I'm looking for
What’s with the Rick Grimes Walking Dead holster with the open bottom? No cop would ever carry a gun in a holster like that and allow his barrel and front sight to be exposed. I’m sure you don’t carry the gun but I gotta think that rig was bought specifically for the show. Even the speedloaders on the weak side is odd. When we carried revolvers speedloaders were always handled with the strong hand. Open cylinder and switch gun to left hand. Use right palm to whack the ejector rod to empty brass then cradle gun in left with three fingers through the frame to hold the cylinder and use strong hand to use loaders. Come to think of it, I don’t recall ever seeing Rick go empty and reloading on the move. Never even seen those speedloaders out of that pouch.
kbm6893 haha good eye my friend. Yea it’s the actual complete screen accurate rig from the speed loaders, holster, handcuff pouch, knife, and hatchet! But yea, to my knowledge either it wasn’t ever shown on screen rick doing a reload with his speedloaders
Yeah. The actor who plays Rick is British so I doubt he knows anything about guns. And judging by the way he handles that Python, firing it one handed, the advisors on that show never bothered to teach him. I did see a behind the scenes thing where the prop guys were showing the props in the show. They said nobody but Rick even touches that Python (except armorers and those who must). He was very possessive of it. I read something that they used a gun other than a Python for a lot of shots. Enjoy the gun. Glad it’s where it should be now. Maybe one day I’ll get one.
Thanks for the update. Seems like they should have just sent a new off the line Python to show they've fixed the production problems. If they just gave you another gun with the same serial number as your old one raises more questions than answers. The demand has pushed delivery time way back. So hopefully everything will be worked out before I get my Python. But I sure will give a real fine look over before I take it home. Thanks for all the straightforward info as you've gone through this ordeal with Colt! Cheers
This fella is in serious denial. He cannot face the fact that, pure and simple, COLT MAKES JUNK. Rather than send it back to the factory, twice, take it to an auto wrecking yard with one of those big-ass shredders that turn old cars into confetti and throw the worthless clunker in it. Then go buy a Smith or a Ruger.

Colt, isn’t the company they once where. They relied on government contacts and stepped away from the civilian market. They have relied on the 1911 for ever and don’t get me wrong 1911 are good but you have to step it up and get with the times. Product and development are key and you don’t turn your back on the civilian market. People remember things like that. Colt is not the company they once were and it’s a shame.

I am very happy to hear that Colt finally stepped up to the plate and took care of you! The stress level caused by the debacle of buying a defective revolver had to be unnerving at best. Now that all is good the old saying of "all's well that ends well" is applicable. I know you have to feel better about your purchase! Take care brother 👍!
Baby Hulk I sure do now my friend, just wish it wouldn’t have took 4 months hahaha
Yes Sir, I hope it is a Great Revolver Now.
Beretta Sr.
Yessir!
Baby//// COLT SHOULD HAVE NEVER TURNED OUT THE PIECES OF JUNK LIKE THESE WERE!!!!!
For the $1500 asking price, you’d think that Colt would have better quality control...
Kevin Kish yessir you think they would
I couldn't believe it, but I had an issue with my original Colt Python.
Interested to see whats coming up on your "VS" review, too. Glad it looks like they finally got everything taken care of.
MarshalZhukov I’ll have it out soon my friend! Thank you for viewing!
FYI: If a Manufacture has to SWAP the Frame or Receiver on a Weapon which means a NEW Serial Number there IS NO FFL FEE because the Manufacture is TRADE the Same Weapon for the Same Weapon! You should not have had to go thru a FFL to send your Python to COLT for Factory Warranty Work you should have just packaged the weapon and Taken it to either a FEDEX or UPS Hub for Shipment and the weapon would have been return to your HOME!
af22raptor23503 you don’t have to send it though FFL to colt for fixes, but, if you receive a gun back with a different serial number you still do have to go though a FFL to receive it
@@GoldenWebb I am a FFL Dealer and I have had a Pistol from Springfield Armory that went back to them because of a Frame ISSUE and the FRame was Replaced with a NEW ONE with a NEW FRAME since they were Replacing the Weapon that I send in with the SAME TYPE as a WARRANTY REPLACEMENT NO FFL was NEEDED! This was DONE Before I was a FFL DEALER! BATFE Regulations do NOT REQUIRE a SECOND Check for a Weapon that is being replaced with the same MAKE, Model, Caliber and THAT is the KEY! IT HAS TO BE the SAME! My issue was with a 1911 that had a Defect in the Frame which was a CRACK and after 300 rounds the Crack became Visible since I was still in the Military I was able to get a friend to X-Ray the Frame and it showed that it was a Defect in the Casting Process I sent in the pictures along with a report and Springfield Replaced the Frame and I had the Custom Shop Fit the SLide and barrel to the frame.
@@GoldenWebb af22raptor23503 is right. 18 U.S. Code § 922.
(A)this paragraph and subsection (b)(3) shall not be held to preclude a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector from returning a firearm or replacement firearm of the same kind and type to a person from whom it was received
Returning a different gun with the old serial number is illegal. Years ago Kel Tec got in trouble for doing that. Now they issue replacement guns with -A appended to the original serial number. I seriously don't think Colt is going to risk the wrath of the ATF just to appease you. Spreading disinformation like this is doing a disservice.
I'm glad you are happy with your Python, I skipped the purchase because of vids like yours. I live in Commyfornia and I actually feel lucky to have 3 Colt platforms (Yes they are recent) Night Cobra, S.A.A. & AR-15.. So far no problems. .357 ammo!!! I got some from the old days and I am saving it all.
Tim Liddle if we can get some tests in and push this gun, I’d really like to see if everything is finally okay with this gun
Very happy for you. Can't wait to see you out having fun with that Python. I'm still holding off on purchasing one, but probably will in the future. Keep up the good work. Nice cowboy hat.
44smithnut I sure do appreciate that my friend! I sure will! Thank you once again!
I have had 2 on order since January, and here we are at the end of April, no word yet. I'm still on the fence on whether I even want them. Im actually looking at older revolvers for the same money.
I'd be willing to bet there are a lot of Lemons sitting in people's safes UNFIRED since the 1st release as well.
Please keep shooting it, and give us longevity review down the road!!!
Guns N Gears you know there has to be a lot of lemons sitting out. I can’t believe people are still paying what they are on GB. It’s crazy man really
well im glad that your python is finally all good(or golden if you prefer). i remember how bad it was to hear that you were having all those problems and its good to see that everything is fine with your gun. its also great to see that new pythons dont seem to be having these problems anymore. im not sure what to think about colt destroying your gun. i dont know if its true or not and i didnt know that was even legal, but maybe thats what happened. either way, im glad everything is finally good on your end. loved the video, i always love happy endings. keep the videos comin, and catch you on the next one.
Connor Marek thank you for your kind words and thank you for viewing my friend!
Awesome. Glad Colt handled your issues to your satisfaction. I absolutely love my 2020 Python. I put some Altamont super rosewood grips on mine to spice things up a bit.
Greysider I’ve actually put some old Gen 3 grips on mine, stay tuned for them’
Hi Greysider!
Good luck!
Greysider Thanks my friend. :)
So how many rounds through the maybe new gun? I think I would put quite a few full power rounds down range. To kinda test it out.
Good luck
Tbj Tbj I sure will put a lot more down it when I can get a hold of some ammo, and I’d say I’ve put close to 50 though it now
I'm glad they made good with the price you paid.
Ken McD I am to my friend
Its April already they didnt make up. He needs a free python or something
d solo they will never make it right, but at least my gun seems to be working okay for the moment, I’ll keep everyone updated
Nice to hear Colt came through for you . To bad you had to whip the team to get there. Enjoy your new fire arm Dude.
Silent Bob hahah yea it was, but it seems to be working fine now! Thank you for viewing my friend!
There colts bought new and being sold on sites for 2000 and up after bought for the 1500. Seems like you got a great deal back. I want one but will wait until cost drops. Great reviews and be safe also
Robert Duncan id wait awhile myself to buy another one of these guns. Thank you my friend
I'm glad you finally got everything squared away with Colt. Enjoy your Python.
Rezolution01 I sure will my friend! Thank you for viewing!
Good to see you out “Shooting” it. I hope you can leave all the problems behind and enjoy the Colt Revolver. Stay Safe.
Beretta Sr.
BERETTA9mmUSA I believe I can finally, been shooting it a decent amount, not a hiccup one. I’ll have the 1000 round update soon. Good to hear from you my friend. You stay safe to brother
If you end up getting a python I'd love to see a comparison with the 586.
Congratulations on finally getting the Python you bought and paid for. Gr8 vid. 🔫 🎊
West Coast Chicano I sure do appreciate that man, thank you so much
I had a Python on order and cancelled the order early on.
Just and I’m sure your more then happy with everyone of them! I’d probably rather done what you did!
James Ryan yea it probably was all just my fault. Thank you for viewing though my friend
I believe you’ll be alright now partner. They have seemed to fix most of the problems that I had with mine
And partner it was an absolute mess to say the least. I’m just glad I documented everything along the way
Glad things all worked out. Please keep us updated as you shoot it more.
72cmcinc I sure will my friend!
Like your state of Kentucky on the back of your shirt. GO BIG BLUE!
kenny hart yessir! Thank you my friend
Glad to see they did right for you. Wish S&W would get my 442 back to me.

Congratulations my friend. I'm happy that you're happy. Happy shooting with your Python.
Das Piper thank you for viewing my friend!
Glad they gave u a new and improved gun. I'm hoping to get one , maybe once they release the blued ones, it be easier to get a stainless model
mrchow489 thats true my friend!
And by the way your channel is excellent!! I always look forward to your posts. Very honest and straightforward...
Ben Perea I sure do appreciate that my friend! Thank you for everything!
As you said .357 Magnum is pretty hard to come across now. Odd that .44 Special is actually easier to find now. Luckily I have a revolver that shoots it.
Lance Norton haha man that really is the truth
Any luck finding that 42A Holster? I've got a few looking, and I've even got two holster makers willing to clone it if I ever get my hands on one to bring some decent offerings back on the market for others.
I’ve got one, missing a few parts that rick has on his, I’m still always looking for some though! Let me know how that goes
Wanted a Python bad, but my enthusiasm has cooled a lot. Bought a Ruger 556 AR pistola for a 1/4 of the price instead and got one heckuva gun!
Mach One I heard that!! Thank you for viewing my friend!
Tom Sherwood yea, I heard that a lot that they didn’t fit many peoples hands. Thanks for viewing my friend
That is one beautiful gun. I love mine and so far no issues...whew!
Ben Perea thank God! Hahah thanks for viewing my friend
When did you buy yours Ben?? I was gonna wait till December 2020 to Order mine. Thanks for the information in advance. Beretta Sr.
Can you post a pic of the markings you said Colt put on the gun to show that it has the updates? Thanks and glad they got you squared away!
TheLegoJoker I sure will my friend, thank you!
Back when you got it back the first time, you indicated the new revision stamp under the yoke on the frame. Think you had a pretty good detail picture of it. Is that on this gun?
RIPSAW keep me updated!
Glad you finally have a working gun, but I wonder what Colt's ultimate response would have been to someone without a popular channel.
Seems they're working on every Python that gets sent back to them, even if it's just cosmetic stuff.
Joseph O'Callaghan it’s really untelling, they probably wouldn’t have done near as much as they did.
if you work your hammer with your left thumb in single action, you wont have to break your grip every shot. it helps in my opinion
eddie vanhalen I’ll sure try that out! Thank you for your comment, and thank you for viewing my friend

Doug Wergrzynek yea, I just got an email from Fed Ex saying that they picked up a gun from Hartford Connecticut. I’m not really sure why they never did
Glad to see that you are happy with the New Python.

Sent mine in around mid January. Just got it back and it’s a low serial number. I sent in a 2300 and received a 1400 serial number. The one I received is absolutely FLAWLESS and I couldn’t say that about the one I sent back. I haven’t shot it yet but hopefully soon.
Recoil Rider I’m glad it’s working good for you my friend
It's about time that Colt owned up to their mistakes. Congratulations on getting the situation resolved to your satisfaction. No one likes being ripped off! (Maybe Colt will learn a lesson in how to provide REAL customer service?!? Time will tell...)
Sean Hadley we shall see my friend! Thank you for viewing!
Glad you got her worked out.
glockerbob yessir! Thank you for viewing!
I didn't think about this the first time I watched the video.
Well to keep from reusing the serial # . Do you think maybe you got the sideplat with the # on it back and they just replaced everything else?
Tbj Tbj it’s not a side plate, its an actual frame that has the serial number on it
@@GoldenWebb yes. I miss spoke. I guess the side plate the side that actually comes off the frame.
So could they replace the internals the side plate the barrel and the cylinder basically every piece but the part that has the #.
My dad has had his .357 Magnum Python since 1972 and rarely shoots it.
Richard Lahan but oh I bet when he does he gets a smile on his face!!! Thanks for viewing my friend
Looks good. Glad they fixed it or replaced it (which ever they did) I hope mine looks and functions as well. With this virus thing going on, not sure if colt is even working on mine. Hopefully they are.
Dave F. I hope they are to my friend
I preordered mine back on January 6th and still haven’t received it yet.
Battosi Himorah your kidding?
That's almost as bad as the wait time with ATF for my suppressors.
No kidding. I just hope it’s soon.
Colt should include a letter to explain what repair was made and corrected the issue.
boostimalaka1 exactly they should have, but they didn’t. I’d say it was defective beyond repair
Lucky Gunner has .357 ammo in stock. I've bought alot of ammo from them. Not sure about shipping speeds now.
I have also bought ammo from Midway USA and Ammunition Depot.
Rich D it seems most places have either not got any in stock or that the prices have skyrocketed, I’ll check them out for sure!
Beautiful Gun, I hate that Colt has lost its way. My new Smith & Wesson 686 has fired PERFECTLY, every single time. That said, I'm not real happy with the redesign of new S&Ws either. Our American manufacturers have a bad case of GREED. Good luck with your Colt Man. I hope it works out great !!

John Ricks yea it is sad, but oh well! Thank you for viewing my friend that
But did you put enough rounds through it to be sure that the malfunction has been corrected?
David Pogge no, not really, can’t really afford ammo right now
Oh. Sorry to hear that. Maybe a few hundred rounds from now you can give us a brief update. Good luck.
Is it good to go? You think the 2021 Pythons are ok to buy?
Nope
Beautiful gun, but couldn't help noticing that gap between the back of the frame and the grip. For the money spent I'm thinking Colt should not have an issue like that and the fit should have been much better.
I believe almost all pythons have this gap in the grip, correct me if I’m wrong. It does take away from the gun though
A mfg can warranty replace a firearm and send it back directly to you without going through a FFL. HK did this for me. Different serial number too.
iwillnotcomply007 thank you for viewing my friend!
How can it be a new gun and have that polish mark still on it?
Ted Breeden it doesn’t still have the polish mark on it, that was a picture from the old python. Thank you for viewing my friend
After the repairs: What is the trigger pull now in DA and SA?
I never actually done a poundage test. The DA/SA actually feels better to be honest. The SA is still lacking
Colt can't legally destroy an old gun and put it's serial number on it. That have to account for all materials used in the plant to the ATF.
I’m glad it finally worked out.
gew1898 I am to my friend, thank you for posting

Is this new Python available in Royal Blue?
Bryan McHugh no yet, but I’d say it will be within the next few years
Still waiting for my Python.
Nice information. Hopefully this time the firearm is to your liking.
Keanon Gilliam it sure seems to be!
Well, technically, if it is NOT the same gun u sent them, it is NOT the 283rd Python Colt manufactured. It only has the 283rd serial number stamped on it. Now, u don’t know what number it ACTUALLY is.
Real Bkay that’s true, thank you for viewing my friend
1911 Libra thank you for the comment and thank you for viewing my friend!

I haven’t got ahold of them in alittle under a month now
@@GoldenWebb thanks for the reply. I hope colt gets its customer service on track again. 3 going on 4 months for warranty work is damn ridiculous.
Thanks for the update. Makes me feel better about possibly investing in a 2020 Python. Did you find yourself another Tex 42A?
Justin Mercer not yet my friend! I’ve got one currently, but it’s missing some things so I still am looking for another
@@GoldenWebb I'm looking at having one replicated without the swivel concho, longterm the swivel is a failure point imho. All the same characteristics of the drop leg Tex in black basketweave minus the swivel.
Justin Mercer you could probably find one of them on their just like that already, I believe I’ve seen a few on there like that
@@GoldenWebb the ones I've seen are lacking a couple characteristics. Not drop configuration. And the retention strap is not integral to the holster body, not cut from a solid piece of leather. They also have a heavy forward cant. I've found a maker willing to build a holster to the specs I'm looking for
Justin Mercer keep me updated with it
I sure hope you don't carry that holster on duty. My department outlawed that one. Very poor retention. They would eat you alive in the big city.
Thank you for viewing my friend!
Maybe one day I’ll get one.
kbm6893 I’ve seen that same one. I believe they actually have 3 pythons, one really one, and two dummy ones. And I’m glad it is to, only took 4 months
Well now everyone has been waiting for this!
Mike Ogden haha yessir! Thank you for viewing

Paul Hokinson I think the same
Thing my man. I appreciate you viewing my friend
@@GoldenWebb I just bought the new king cobra target and if you get a chance to try one I highly recommend it, it's a piece of art
Ah I was just trying to document everything going on. Thank you for viewing my friend. It’s funny the last thing you say about buy a ruger or smith, watch my newest video
That is the cleanest python I’ve ever seen
Cob Boy yessir it is! Thank you for viewing my friend
Colt is not the company they once were and it’s a shame.
which speedloader did you use? I was wondering if the ones made for the old python will work
KEN KONG I used the HKS, and yes they still work!
The first one must have been a real mess to receive a new gun!
scott livesey it really was man, no joke
I have two new ones. A 3 inch and a 6 inch. Great revolvers
Yessir they are!
Never buy a first gen, gentleman. Its that simple.
Lucius Cornelius Sulla that’s the truth! Thank you for viewing!
Curious. Have you checked to see if the BATF would allow duplicate serial numbers, even if the original gun has been destroyed? I doubt it.
Jim Brown not sure, it’s been done before though, and nothings been done about it so I doubt it matters
They can. They file paperwork saying the original was destroyed and the serial number is affixed to the replacement.
That sounds right
@@yukon4545 Besides, the original sure won't be out killing folks. Fool thing wouldn't even shoot.
Stephen Johnson nope hahaha
Glad you finally got it back.
R1ck Gr1m3s yessir! Thank you for viewing!
I think the way they did it is excellent!
Doug Moore it’s nice now, just wish it would have been like this from beginning and not 4 months later
most beautiful revolver ever made
Danny Feinberg they sure are Gorgeous
Im still not understanding how they let these guns go to buyers hands and them be so fundamentally broken
Whatcha mean
@@GoldenWebb i mean how did these guns go through testing and colt not find the issues that ive been hearing about im not hating colt at all i genuinely hope they start making them better and reliable cause i do want one i just wonder how they could let these guns go through testingcand not find any faults
Man your guess is just as good as mine. I thought they finally had it under control and a viewer the other day messaged me saying he got one in and it didn’t even have a front sight
@@GoldenWebb thats baffling tbh it makes no sense for them to be this way if one of their pythons were so bad that the gun blew up in their hands injuring a person they could have serious lawsuit
Not sure if 18 rounds makes it PROVEN reliable especially after all the problems .cant wait to see a video where you blast a few boxes of ammo !
DMG Three I sure will my friend, I’m still trying to get some ammo stocked up! Thank you for viewing my man!
Is that original tex schumacker leather holster you wearing
*tex shoemaker, and yessir it is. It’s the 42A
@@GoldenWebb too bad there gone they wont be making anymore of those anymore Hsd then make me that holster in basket weave for my Original anaconda before they closed for good
MAGICIANSWAND did you sell it?

No still have everything

@Goldenwebb would say the new colt python is worth the price tag and purchase now?
ruben42655 are you buying the name or actually for how well it shoots
@@GoldenWebb aesthetics and function.
