I totally understand wanting to refine your collection! In my mind, a collection isn't about just how **much** you have but that you have what you like and can enjoy.
Absolutely!! I think I’ve been so easily blinded by the *newness* of dolls over the years and I just wanted everything - I lost sight of the ones that made me happy. I’m beyond excited to refine my collection and find new homes for some of these dolls!
I’m looking forward to seeing a video on who you pick to part with. I think your goal of getting to an even 100 is good. You said something about 3 months. That works out to just picking ten dolls a month to list to sell. I totally agree about selling what you don’t love. You said Blaire and made a noise at Tenney (which made me laugh because I have those and love them). But if you don’t like them, sell them for sure. Wish you all the best and a MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄🎁
Thank you for doing this video to document your current collection and show all of us! I always enjoy the dolls on the stairs videos. Yikes! You need more stairs. LOL. You have some beauties in your collection. I agree that trimming or curating your collection will make you much happier. I look forward to seeing who will stay and who will go. I have 30 American girl dolls which I feel is a lot. I do sell some occasionally but my core collection is the complete historical line (except the Hoffman twins) I would like to at least get Isabel. I love her eyes. I have one collector doll, one GOTY and one (for now) Disney character. Glad you are feeling better. Take care!🙏💕
Thanks for this video! I'm at 93 AG dolls and 9 Gotz, so it was very interesting for me to see your collection together as it's a similar size to mine. I'm trying not to feel bad about having so many dolls but just to enjoy it!
a large collection is something to be proud of as long as it’s what you want!!! ❤ the goals for my collection have shifted, so it no longer brings *me* joy. but absolutely take pride in your collection, it’s no easy feat!!!
Your collection is so beautiful, but I can definitely understand feeling overwhelmed. I have between 50 and 60 currently and sometimes sell when I’m feeling unattached to a particular doll. I don’t think I could to get to 100. I feel like I have too many with half that, but AG needs to stop making cute dolls. 😅
Awesome video, I can’t believe you don’t name them haha, I love hearing what people name them but never care what year they got them for some reason. I get dolls just to be able to name them haha
Amazing collection 👏! Because it's never easy to downsize I think the best thing to do is what you were already thinking, which is to get rid of the ones you didn't bond with 👍 Once you do that you might be surprised that you made it to your goal of 100 quicker than you thought 😃 When my daughter & I were collecting I was worried that we would end up with a huge collection too 😆 Now it's just me with my Barbies which is becoming a huge collection but they're smaller so it's a bit easier to store them 🤓
I’d keep ones that you got as gifts from your boyfriend/ grandparents/ parents. Those ones would still hold a special place to me if it was from a family member even it I didn’t like the doll. I’d consider getting rid of dolls that you already bought secondhand yourself that you don’t like as much first.
Oh girl… writing another comment about this right now because I just discovered something on the AG website….. sooooo some of the historical dolls don’t come with books anymore? And only come with a journal? Julie and Nanea used to have a book but now they only come with a journal. I think the 90s twins never had a book only the journal. How could this even be a thing? Anyway, thought I needed to share somewhere in the doll collecting community 😅
I have about 15 dolls, and i’m already thinking of letting go of one and i’ve trimmed down my wish list for dolls because i already feel overwhelmed. For me, it’s important that i have a genuine connection with each doll, and also get to like… enjoy each doll? Spend time with her, take photos, etc. And i worry that with too many dolls, i won’t be able to actually USE each doll! I totally understand wanting to refine your collection to better fit your needs

Seems more like an obsession than a collection. Sometimes less is more.

@@lindaf382Interesting comment, especially since you were telling me to not be “too hasty” in my collection purge on my last video! 😊
Awesome collection! But I do relate to feeling overwhelmed, I have around 45 and it's a lot sometimes. 😂
I am SO excited for the unhaul it’s crazy lmao i love seeing people get rid of things
Loved seeing your beautiful collection!! Also I can’t believe you didn’t remember Blossom’s # 😩 she’s the ICONIC and underrated tm 65!
omg YES! I’m so bad bc she’s one of my favs LOL and she is truly an icon in your collection ❤

I enjoyed seeing your dolls! Good luck thinning out the collection.

The dolls on the stairs remind me of those scary sorority videos😂

Are you parting with TM 86
I plan on releasing a video soon showing the dolls I will be parting with! 😊
